Evolution

“Haven’t you learnt a lesson?” After they left, Fanny said to Haisha, “Your younger sister isn’t grateful like others . What she wants is not just a status, but absolute power! As long as you are alive, you are her foe, the obstacle in her way . She won’t show mercy . You’ll regret it if you keep him by your side . ”

Haisha turned around and sat on the bed, saying slowly, “But where else can he go?”

Fanny was struck numb a little bit .

 “It’d be more dangerous to go back to the Inner Wall alone . ” Haisha said, “A number of people in my family have paid allegiance to Hathaway . And she has already been seeking a chance to win some honor . He is an orphan, no family . He has nowhere to go . Only in here could he stand a chance . ”

 “An orphan?” Fanny was a little surprised . She caught a glimpse of  Haisha who looked a little down . After quite a while, she said, “No background, no power, nothing he has . He really shouldn’t have related himself to a world he shouldn’t have . Such kind of person should only stay in the mortal world where he belongs to . You shouldn’t have brought him out . Although he has a chance to breathe the fresh air, the price he has to pay…is his life!”

 “I can protect him in here . ” Haisha peeped at her sideways, “Besides, don’t belittle him . If you were him, you may not be able to have gone this far . Besides, he owns legendary magic mark!”

 “Legendary magic mark?” Fanny was surprised, “Urgh, you mean that kid owns…legendary magic mark?”

Haishai smiled lightly, “Impressive, huh?”

 “As far as I know, he is from the Outer Wall, right? Besides, he is an orphan, nowhere to belong, and you said he owns legendary magic mark?” Fanny couldn’t believe her ears, “Even if he is lucky enough to get the legendary parasitic soul worm, without…professional guidance, how could he have withstood its possessing?”

 “As I said, don’t belittle him . ” Haisha smiled, “I believe one day, he is gonna fly in the sky like an eagle!”

Fanny stared at her blankly . After quite a while, she came to herself, and gradually calmed herself down . She shook her head and said, “It’s in vain even if he owns the legendary magic mark . He’d be dead meat anyway if your younger sister has a knowledge of this, plus he hasn’t fully developed yet . Even if he may have some day, he will only be rendered as a legendary Pioneer . And we don’t lack of such roles here . Besides, he has no blood power and hasn’t learnt any combat arts . Compared with other legendary Pioneers who have learnt combat arts since they were young, he is really nothing at all . ”

Haisha smiled while shaking her head, saying nothing . She didn’t tell Fanny that actually Dean had mastered the Dragon Blood Technique . Within half a month, he had achieved stage one . As was known to all, a rare talent like her had spent a whole month to master stage one .

 “Too far off!” Fanny sighed, “What a shame! He may have become something if he hadn’t had related himself to you, because you position is too high . You and he are like the bird and fish . Even if he evolves, he is a fish after all, who could only dominate in water . He could never fly up in the sky . ”

Haisha said softly, “If that’s the case, well, I’m willing to descend into the water . ”

Fanny was surprised, looking at her blankly .

 “This is your place . ” Eureka led Dean into a manor and pointed at steepletop building, “You stay here . That is my manor . Lady Hathaway’s siblings dare not break into my place . ”

 “Thank you . ” Dean nodded .

Eureka heaved a sigh and then patted on Dean’s shoulder slightly, “As Lady Haisha’s friend, I suggest you leave her . Otherwise, you’ll only bring her disasters . ”

Dean looked a little down, but still shook his head, “But I can’t . ”

Eureka was a little confused, “There’s a huge gap between your statuses . Even though she takes you as a friend, there’re too many things out of there beyond your control . In this world, most people think they can do whatever they like . But the fact is, they have to do as others told them to, otherwise, they can’t survive . ”

 “I know . ” Dean looked calm, “But, I can’t leave now . ”

 “What do you mean?” Eureka looked a little irritated .

Dean looked him into the eyes, “You should have informed us earlier . Now Hathaway has been informed of me . If I leave now, she’ll definitely send her people to hunt me down, or arrest me as the hostage . So I can’t leave now, you understand me?”

Eureka was a little startled . After a moment’s thinking, he could only sigh and said, “You go take some rest . ” And then he walked away .

Watching him fade away, Dean then turned around and walked towards the steepletop building .

 “I have to get out of here . They are right . I would only be her burden if I stay . ” He thought to himself . He had to admit his power was too weak, but it’s a fact .

Some servants had already waited there in the building . They saluted to Dean on seeing him .

Those servants and maids all owned the quality of the Hunters, who could only serve the Pioneers here .

Although he felt upset, the sun still rises! It took Dean quite some time to get himself cleaned up . Having lived in the deserted area over 40 days, his hair and body already stunk like hell . Then he ate some food . He wandered around in the building while trying to figure out a way out . Since he came in, he noticed there were books everywhere here .

In the library of the Outer Wall, only those patricians could enter into the famous libraries to borrow those books . Besides, even in those famous libraries, the books they collected were limited . One could not get too much valuable knowledge and information . While most books here were totally refreshing . They should have belonged to the Dragon Clan, which were used to those Pioneers to entertain .

After all, one could be easily go mad in such a long time killing without nourishment for the mind .
