Su Xiaomo did as told . His wide shoulders made her feel very safe .

 “I’ve called the police… what now? He must have an electric drill! Shit, will he burst in like in the movies…” Su Xiaomo couldn’t stop imagining things . He Jiayu couldn’t take it anymore and covered her mouth with a hand . “Stop it . ”

 “Hm…” Su Xiaomo struggled . He Jiayu rubbed her head . “Momo, calm down . ”

 His voice was so gentle that Su Xiaomo fell for it right away . She stopped talking .

 “I’ll go have a look . ” He Jiayu found the noise rather strange .

 “No, you won’t! Look at your thin arms and legs! You’ll never beat him in a fight!” Su Xiaomo said anxiously . “Just stay here and wait for the police!”

 A chuckle suddenly came from the window, followed by a conversation .

 The corner of He Jiayu’s mouth twitched . Just then, there was the sound of a police car siren downstairs, and he said with a smile, “I think I’ll go take a look . The police is here . If those really are the bad guys, I don’t think they’ll be bold enough to try anything . ”

 Biting her lip, Su Xiaomo hesitated, then took out that giant foot spa basin and stuffed it into He Jiayu’s hands . “Take this for your safety!”

 He Jiayu was baffled . “I’m not…”

 “Shut up! Cuff him and bring him in!”
