Papa An smiled harmlessly and struck up a conversation .

An Xiaxia was alarmed . She grabbed An Yibei by his arm and whispered, “Brother… Dad won’t sell me off, will he…”

After calming An Xiaxia down, An Yibei cleared his throat, then said in a serious tone, “My family officially adopted An Xiaxia and processed the required paperwork . Legally speaking, she is the daughter of the An family and my younger sister . Going back to the Song family with you isn’t obligatory and she’ll have to give her consent before you can claim her as your daughter . ”
