Wolf strolled into the ward, observing Li Anping and Anna who were on the ground with an unreserved glare. His right hand still held a cigarette, completely ignoring the hospital’s no smoking rules.
Taking a look at the seemingly “fainted” Long Tao, Wolf broke into a grin: “I was still wondering, how much money it’d take to bribe the policeman, but it seems you’ve taken care of the trouble for me.” While speaking, he casually threw away the cigarette stick and single-handedly grabbed Anna who was sprawled on the ground.
“Ahhh……” Anna had just wanted to scream but was immediately muffled by Wolf’s hand. He gripped her tightly with his arm, rendering her immobile.
“Shush, be obedient and don’t scream.” Wolf stood behind Anna, with one hand blocking her mouth and the other carrying her waist.
He blew a breathe of hot air on her neck, as his gaze turned lustful: “You look pretty good huh? What a pity, why would someone as beautiful as you fall for such an unfortunate cripple?”
Anna’s body was trembling, as she was being held from the back by a stranger. Her eyes were full of terror and she could only seek help from Li Anping through her gaze.
“Who are you? What do you want?” Li Anping stared at the two men and shouted internally: “Quickly save her! I know you can do it.”
The emotionless voice said: “But why would I do that? She saw us murder Long Tao with her own eyes, if he kills her now, it’d get rid of the eye-witness for us as well.”
“You devil!”
Li Anping had to soften his tone: “Let her go, you guys are here to find me right? She has nothing to do with this.”
“Haha, you stared at me so fiercely earlier, I thought you were going to fight it out with me, ‘Mr.Hero’?” Wolf arrogantly laughed, he stuck out his tongue and licked Anna’s face: “But I will not let her go, what are you going to do about it?”
Seeing Li Anping powerless on the ground, his eyes burning with fury, Wolf’s expression got more smug by the minute.
“Enough, Wolf, you should’ve let this woman go earlier.” Ruo followed behind Wolf and shut the ward’s door expressionlessly. Compared to Wolf’s hooligan demeanor, he acted more like a professional killer.
“In any case, we have backing this time, it doesn’t matter if we get rid of another person right.” Wolf lightly retorted, at the same time his hand moved across from Anna’s belly to the upper half of her body.
Anna who was held tightly by him felt violated, but she was unable to resist. Especially in from of Li Anping, she felt frightened and shocked, to the point where tears could not stop flowing.
“The intruders called out each other’s names so easily, it seems they will not be letting us go, we must find a chance to kill them.” Inside Li Anping’s mind, the voice spoke again, and seeing Li Anping unmoved, he rushed: “These two aren’t ordinary people, we must strike first. Follow what I say, as long as we sneak up on one of them, there will be a chance.”
“I won’t murder them, we just need to stop them.”
“Imbecile!!!”
Their conversation was of course, a secret only to them.
Ruo upon seeing Wolf’s behaviour, frowned: “Don’t cause unnecessary trouble, the Shang family is already facing a lot of pressure this time, do you want to anger Brother Huo?”
“Hmph!” Wolf looked at Huo with disdain as he grabbed Anna by the throat, and raised her up above his head. “We’ll play later.” After saying that, he threw Anna towards one side of the walls, allowing her head to get slammed on the wall and as a result of the impact, she fainted. Blood oozed out from Anna’s wound dying the floor a deep red.
“What are you guys doing?” Seeing this, Li Anping’s heart skipped a beat. After seeing how they mercilessly threw Anna towards the wall, he had finally realized that the two people in front of him were not ordinary criminals. They were more unscrupulous, more ruthless.
“You still have the energy to care about others? Do you know that someone is paying money to get rid of you?” Wolf slowly approached Li Anping, he squatted down and observed him like a toy.
Ruo at the back sounded out: “Quickly act, don’t say unnecessary things.”
Wolf shrugged as he grabbed Li Anping’s hair with his hand, and brought his face to eye level.
“Then let’s stop the trash talking, and slaughter him.”
Dong! A loud sound reverbed.
Wolf grabbed Li Anping’s head as he slammed it to the ground mercilessly.
Li Anping felt like his brain was about to explode, the crimson blood spewed out like dye from his ears and nose. His consciousness started to blur, and his vision was dyed with a layer of red.
Only within his mind, an anxious voice screamed.
“Ability users, god damn it! They are ability users! I can’t absorbed their souls now, quickly release full control of your body to me, or else we’ll both be dead!!!”
But Li Anping had nearly fainted from the impact. If it wasn’t for the voice’s owner protecting his brain using his ability, he would already be dead. There was no way Li Anping could accede to his request in this state.
“Damn it, bastard, you imbecile! Why did I choose you?!” The voice was panic-stricken, but there was nothing he could do.
Wolf grabbed Li Anping by the head, upon seeing his bruised face and gasping breathing, was unsatisfied: “Your head sure is tough, normal people would’ve been reduced to a pulp by now. If it was normally, I might’ve just let you go, but this time the amount of payment is very high, I have no choice but to kill you.”
He laughed: “These rich people sure are really cruel, even after killing the elderly, they still won’t let the cripple go.”
Hearing this, Li Anping’s eyes shone, and his sluggish thoughts instantly became clearer, he forced his eyes open and asked: “You mentioned…. elderly? My grandma… she… you guys did… that to her?”
“Oh? You’re still conscious?” Wolf was slightly taken aback: “Impressive, the blow earlier was enough to break your skull. Your brain already has severe internal bleeding but you’re still able to speak?”
Wolf grinded Li Anping’s head with a surprised look, and hearing his groaning, revealed a cruel smile: “Alright, as a reward, I’ll fulfill your dying request. Your grandma’s incident was done by us. Although it wasn’t me who acted, the person who paid is the same person, you should know him.”
“Shang… Zhen… Bang…?”
Hearing Li Anping’s three words, Wolf felt a chill down his spine all of a sudden, as if he had committed a grave mistake.
The room’s peculiarity had also garnered other people’s attention, and footsteps could be heard outside.
“Stop playing” Ruo rushed: “Quickly finish him, if anyone sees us it’ll be difficult to answer to Brother Huo.”
“You can help me seek revenge?” Internally screaming, Li Anping could see a lump of black shadow circling around his body.
“Of course I can, as long as you make a deal with me.”
“The devil’s transaction huh? What do you want from me? I have nothing left already.”
“Do you have any room to reject?”
“…Alright, as long as you can help me seek revenge, then as compensation; be it soul or body, as long as you want it, I will give it to you.”
“Hehehehe… hahaha… HAHAHAHAHA”
After hearing Li Anping’s words, the voice first laughed faintly, but got progressively louder and more content, until Li Anping’s inner thoughts was filled with his laughter.
Wolf was about to slam Li Anping’s head down again, but found his wrist tightly grabbed, unable to move an inch.
Li Anping grabbed Wolf’s arm and stared at him, his eyes dyed blood red. Within his body a weird sound was heard, as if something was crawling within him.
“I do not need your soul nor your body, I just need a deal with you. The soul I absorbed earlier is sufficient for you to gain superhuman physique, but it will only sustain you for 5 minutes, you must kill them within this time period and escape successfully.”
The voice’s words still echoed inside Li Anping as a cruel and evil power surged through his body.
His body’s injuries healed at an unbelievable rate, his strength was increasing and his muscles became more compact, his bones were hardened allowing him to unleash greater strength.
Li Anping felt reborn. His body condition was many times stronger than he had ever felt before.
“Ahhhh!!!”
He furiously screamed as he raised his fist to slam at Wolf’s chest. Wolf similarly gave a punch to Li Anping’s stomach.
Wolf thought: ‘My ability is muscle strengthening, you’re competing strength with me?’
But the result of the brawl was opposite of what he had thought. With one punch, Wolf’s chest was almost blown apart, and half his bones shattered from the impact. He could not stop coughing blood while his opponent seemed relatively unharmed, as if Wolf’s attack was weak as cotton.
At this point, Wolf could care no longer. He cried out and his arms expanded at an insane rate, almost twice the size of before. Barely managing to knock Li Anping back, he retreated a distance away from Li Anping.
“Ruo!!!”
Ruo had reacted already, but he did not expect the ‘Ability User’ Wolf to be beaten so easily. Seeing that Wolf had retreated, he pulled out the dagger on his belt and jabbed at Li Anping’s waist.
“Kill them all!!! Devour them all!!! Soul, body, none shall be left!!!”
Li Anping’s eyes were already dyed a deep red, and his expression grew more berserk. There was only Wolf left in his vision. Ignoring Ruo who stabbed him, Li Anping pushed him aside and rushed towards Wolf with a push from his feet. Hugging Wolf’s shoulder, he bit at his neck.
The intense pain only made him more berserk.
With the sound of tearing, his mouth bit on Wolf’s neck and with a pull, detached a chunk of meat from it. Wolf’s cry reverbed the hospital as his entire neck was nearly pulled out. Blood poured out like a fountain and dyed both him and Li Anping red.
Nevertheless, Wolf was an ability user. In fact his ability allowed him to have superior control over his muscles through strengthening, thus even with such severe injuries he did not die immediately. He struggled even more intensely as he had finally been shocked by Li Anping’s insanity, the only thought that remained in him was to survive. His fists furiously hammered at Li Anping as he finally found an opening and knocked the room door out of the way, escaping without even looking back.
‘Ching!’, using this chance, Ruo stabbed Li Anping once more on the back, piercing his lungs. Li Anping roared and with a turn of his body, slapped Ruo away with his palm and rushed out to pursue Wolf.
Ruo was only a normal human, although he was a retired Special-Ops soldier, his physique could not be compared to an ability user. After getting hit by Li Anping, he felt like his bones were about to shatter, and his eyes blurred, unable to stand up.
When he had regained his focus, he could only hear the crisp sound of bones and flesh breaking and tearing apart, along with Wolf’s increasingly weaker screams and the other patients and nurses screeching.
After a few seconds, when Wolf was covered in blood with even a few bite marks on his forehead, he managed to climb back to the doorway and stretched his arm out to Ruo, as if he was asking for help.
But before he was able to say anything, he was dragged away by a bloody hand. What followed was a series of chewing sound echoing from outside the room.
Only until the heart wrenching cry had stopped, did silence return.
“Mon… monster!!!”
Seeing such a scene, Ruo swallowed his saliva and jumped out through the window. The door was already blocked. Moreover, the room was only on the third storey, so with his skills the most he’d get is minor injuries.
Rolling on the ground to mitigate the impact, Ruo ran towards the hospital entrance with a flustered look.
Five minutes later, a large number of police cars arrived, but the only thing that awaited them was a fainted young girl, a policeman corpse and a a pile of human flesh.
