“Thank you for your proposal, but I can’t stay here for long,” Ye Mo replied . “Plus, Bing Bing is too pretty for someone like me . ”
“How so?” the Palace Lord asked . “You are able to create True Energy Pills at such a young age . You have a bright future ahead of you . My daughter is only 18 and is already a Spirit Cultivating Ninth Realm warrior . Even if she’s a little older than you, you two still fit well together . ”
“You should accept his offer . Bing Bing is quite a decent girl,” Cai Ling joked .
Ye Mo glared at Cai Ling . He turned to the Palace Lord and said, “I’m really sorry, but I have a personal matter I have to attend to . But if you could give me the Thousand Years Absolute Zero Ice, I’ll definitely pay you back in the future!”
At that moment, Ye Mo had to get his hand on the Goddess’s Tear as soon as possible and revive Ling’er . That was the reason that he couldn’t stay .
“Who does he think he is? The Palace Lord is giving him his precious daughter, and he dares to refuse?” one of the guards whispered, but Ye Mo still heard him .
“He’s so stupid! The young lady will definitely advance to the Energy Shaping Realm shortly, and she will be scouted by one of the Three Major Alliances . ”
“Maybe because he thinks that this is a remote area and the living conditions aren’t as good as those big cities . ”
The guards kept on dissing Ye Mo . He had declined the proposal for the goddess they all desired .
But even if Ye Mo had accepted it, they would still have done the same .
“Does he think he’s above everyone else because he’s a talented Alchemist?” Bing Bing gritted her teeth and scolded . She was the heir to the Frozen Palace and was adored by everyone . Even so, Ye Mo’s ignorance was starting to get under her skin .
“Well, I can’t force you into it,” the Palace Lord said with a sigh . “I called you here because I have something to tell you . People from the Pleasure Valley where just here demanding for you, but I’ve sent them back . Looks like they’ve found out that both of you are here . ”
Ye Mo frowned at the news . The only thing they could do at that moment was to stall and hope that the warrior would advance to the True Energy Realm as soon as possible .
Just as they were trying to devise a plan, one of the gate guards rushed in . “Palace Lord! There are a few Qingyun disciples waiting outside . They said they wanted to see you!”
“Hurry up and let them in!” the Palace Lord ordered as his eyes flashed .
Five Qingyun Alliance’s disciples were led in . Even though they were all around 16 or 17 years old, each and every one of them was a Half-Energy Shaping Realm warrior, all stronger than the elite guards standing in the main hall .
All of them wore Qingyun’s training robe with a green cloud emblem across their chests . They stood proudly in the hall and looked around .
“We’re from the Qingyun Alliance,” the leader of the disciples said . “My name is Taishi Dan, and I’m here to seek the Thousand Years Absolute Zero Ice . ”
What? Taishi Dan? Shocked by the name, Ye Mo quickly turned around and saw that it truly was the Taishi Dan who’d accompanied Xiaoyao Polong at the Pleasure Society .
“So you’re the young master of the Taishi clan,” the Palace Lord said . “I’ve heard that you’re one of the geniuses that got a free pass into the Qingyun Alliance . What do you need the ice for?”
“I’m about to advance into the Energy Shaping First Realm,” Taishi Dan answered . “Since I’m trained in the Hellfire Sword Style, I need the ice to neutralize the hellfire in my body so that I can successfully complete my advancement . ”
“Congratulations!” the Palace Lord said . “But I’m sorry I have to disappoint you as I’ve promised the ice to someone else . ”
“It’s still with you, right?” Taishi Dan said . “Who did you promise it to? I can pay him a price that matches the ice . He should be willing to cooperate as I’m both the young master of the Taishi clan and a Qingyun disciple . ”
“Ye Mo…” The Palace Lord looked at Ye Mo and asked for his opinion as the Frozen Palace didn’t have the power to go against the Taishi clan . What was more was that Taishi Dan was one of the Qingyun Alliance too .
Even if the Palace Lord was a True Energy Realm warrior, he still had to respect anyone who was wearing Qingyun’s robe .
“It’s been a while, Taishi Dan,” Ye Mo turned and greeted .
“You!” Taishi Dan shouted in awe and with a hint of anger . It was Ye Mo who had ruined his plan and had caused him a few troubles in the Pleasure Valley .
“Palace Lord!” Taishi Dan turned to the Palace Lord . “He is a wanted man in the Pleasure Valley! You must not give him the Thousand Years Absolute Zero Ice!”
“Just to let you know, he already knows of who I am and what I’ve done,” Ye Mo said and smirked .
“Ye Mo!” Taishi Dan shouted . “I’ma man of reason . You’ve caused me a lot of trouble back at the Pleasure Society . I should’ve taken you in . But because of your relationship with the Palace Lord, I’ll let you go if you hand me the ice!”
“Let me go?” Ye Mo snorted . “So you think you can punish me because you’re from the Qingyun Alliance? Or because you’re the young master of the Taishi clan? You said I’ve caused you troubles, but I won at the auction fair and square . What wrong have I done?”
“Do you know who you are talking to?” asked one of the disciples standing behind Taishi Dan . “We are warriors from the Qingyun Alliance! Hand over the ice, or we will use force!”
“Oh? Are you planning to fight in the palace?” Ye Mo egged him on as the only one who posed a threat to him among the five of them was Taishi Dan .
“So what?” the other disciple said . “We are on a mission as Qingyun Alliance’s warriors . Now that you’re standing in our way, we’ll have to apprehend you in the name of the Qingyun Alliance! No one shall stop us, or we will treat them as our enemies too!”
These disciples completely looked down on the Frozen Palace .
“You dare fight in our palace?!” Bing Bing shouted .
“We’re from the Qingyun Alliance!” Taishi Dan sneered . “Interference with our mission means opposing the Qingyun Alliance!”
“Take care of them,” Cai Ling said to Ye Mo and jumped onto the stage where the Palace Lord was sitting . Not one of the disciples was able to see her face due to the fog around them .
The Sky Blood Spear was already at its limit as its rage had been suppressed for too long . Ye Mo drew the spear from his back as Evil Energy rushed towards the five disciples .
The energies were like the living breath of the spear, causing the disciples to shake in front of the abnormally strong weapon in front of them .
“How dare you!” Taishi Dan scolded . “Are you trying to oppose the Qingyun Alliance?”
“Stop with the Qingyun blabber!” Ye Mo shouted . “It’s a shame for Qingyun Alliance to have people like you in it . I’ll dispose of all of you in the name of the Qingyun Alliance!”
