"If you simply need to prevent the Werewolf from entering the village, I could help . "

There's a little…… . no, there's a big problem concerning that though .

"Is that…… . possible? That would be the best solution, but the enemy is the werewolf, you know? The one who being referred to as forest's hunter?"

The goblins were quite skeptical in my words……

"Yes, I know . I'll show you how tomorrow, now is already late . Let's take a rest once we have eat our fill . "

"Mhmm, you're right"

"For the dinner, we have smoked lesser orc's meat and torrent's seed, but it won't be enough for five people . Hunting this late at night would be dangerous too . "

Sari gave a helpless look as she told us the food won't be enough for this many people .

It can't be helped then . Is it time for me to shine… . .

"I've got wyvern's meat at my disposal, it'll be enough for all of us since I've got plenty . "

Mido, Sari and Menado, these three goblins shouted in utter amazement at the mention of Wyvern's meat . I was startled .

"I-Is that okay?"

Daidalian asked me with an apologetic tone . It wasn't right  to celebrate this reunion with a poor feast .

"Yes, it's my pleasure to treat you to a proper meal before I depart from here . "

"Y-Yes! You're right . "

This evening's dinner menu was settled with Wyvern's meat, smoked lesser orc's meat and roasted torrent's seed . The roasted torrent's seed was a bit sweet and crunchy, but it was surprisingly delicious . The lesser orc's meat was hard and salty, it couldn't be helped though since it was preserved foods .

The goblins merrily ate wyvern's meat, it seems like they liked it . Daidalian said they could only eat this high class meal once every now and again when they hold a banquet, and they were only able to eat it only if a stray wyvern's child wanders alone (which is hunted by adult goblins), and this was their first time tasting adult wyvern's meat .  When the feast had come to an end, they thanked me over and over again . If they were satisfied with only this much, I as the host am also very happy .

Slime Baum, who didn't need to eat, delightfully drank my finest quality water, that I'd put in a barrel, on the bed .

With our stomach bulging out, we deepened our friendship that has gone beyond races . We talked about how I and Daidalian met, about the way of life of the goblin tribe, and so forth, there were an abundance of topics which could go on .

After that, we went to sleep . We huddled together, me and the goblins that have become my friends . It was warm .

It seems like males and females sleeping together was a common occurrence for goblins . There were his childhood friend, Mido, along with his sister, Sari . If I think about it, this dude's (Daidalian) situation was like a harem . His mother was also here though, but still .

I also tightly hug Baum who was beside me, but he was cold, so I instantly pushed him away . Baum, I'm sorry……but I've got a feeling that he didn't mind it . It would have been fine even if you were cold . Because your heart is already warm…… . .

We spent one night in the cabin, and then morning came .

Sari and Menado went on to hunt a lesser orc as soon as sun had risen, giving us a whole roasted lesser orc for breakfast . Daidalian and Sari also went to the graveyard early in the morning . It seems like I was the last one wake up . When I uttered my regret at not being able to help, they told me to not worry about it since I was a guest . Smoked lesser orc's meat was unsavory, but the whole roasted one was really delicious . It was a bit greasy though… . .

After I had a slight after-meal-break, I decided it was time for me to make a move . I said to Daidalian and Sari who were before me .

"Then, may I continue yesterday's conversation………?"

Baum was strolling around the village right now, as for Menado and Mido, their priority was to secure food for tonight's dinner .

"Yes"

"Mhmm"

Daidalian and Sari nodded in consent .

"In regards to defending the village from werewolves…… I think you realise that your problem will be solved once I cover the entire village with 'Water Barrier'"

"That, water barrier is it……"

"Please wait a second! Defending against the werewolf's invasion with 'Water Barrier'? Is that even possible?!"

Sari suddenly cut off our conversation, it seems as though she didn't believe what she has heard .

"It's totally possible, Sari onee-san . If even wyvern couldn't break into the barrier, it'll need a miracle for werewolf to tear it apart, am I right?"

"Wyvern you say . . ……hold on, Daidalian .  Water Barrier is not a powerful magic, despite that, the wyvern couldn't even break it? Don't spit out nonsense, only a Demon would be capable of doing such feat"

It wasn't only demons though……

Sari was different from Daidalian, since she had lived for a long time, she seems to know well about magic . Even if she doesn't have magic power, she has her own portion of magic's knowledge .

"Water magic is the pride of my friend, an elf . The barrier would need to be executed perfectly for it to withstand a single blow from a wyvern . It would even be possible for our hobgoblins to destroy the barrier, but they would not be able to break it in a single blow . "

Sari was running quickly before she thrusted the barrier . The barrier deformed but it didn't show any signs of breaking .

"Helix spear! Giant swing! Killer spear!"

Oi! Some dangerous skill names were mixed in between!

I left Sari, who was still persisting, alone for awhile .

"Sari nee-san's spear couldn't even pierce through, as expected, this barrier really is amazing . "

Daidalian said in admiration . It's okay to praise me more . After all, praising children will make them grow… . .

"That barrier was packed with immense magical power, as such, it's impossible to break it if the attacker aren't at least on the same level . "

Werewolf won't really pose any problem . But, the barrier won't have a chance against a fenrir, like Larne . Please bravely surrender if that times ever comes .

No matter how much Sari attacked, until she lost her breath, the barrier firmly held its ground .

"Then, there's no problem with the barrier, right?"

Sari finally aware of the barrier's true strength .

Magical power imprint wasn't a common topic to non-magic races, it was natural for them to not know about it .

Magical power imprints contains each magical powers trait and aptitude .

To put it briefly, you can think of magical power imprint as a 'fingerprint' that each magical power has . No one has the same characteristic as it's infinitely varies .

Magical power imprinting has a feature where when a magic's reflected imprint has the same imprint as the one who invokes it, that person could limit some of the magic, thus is capable of one-sidedly nullifying the effects of their own magic .

Magical power is indispensable when chanting magic . As such, when they use magical power to chant, there will always be a reflection of magical power imprint on the successful magic .

And then, in this case, the magical power imprints reflected on the water barrier is the same with mine, that is the reason why I am capable of freely going in and out of the barrier .
