Xia Mo took the clothes off the 3rd corpse and checked its stats. Although the defense was poor, it was much better than the one that she was wearing now. Her current starter clothes had zero defense. The badly sewed clothes with long sleeves and pants was more convenient travelling in the forest than wearing the starter clothes which had short sleeves and shorts.

After stripping the clothes off, she examined the shoes of the corpses. All were in fine condition and she wore one pair and kept the rest in her bag. The third bandit only had the dagger as his primary weapon. Although a dagger was quite common, the sharpness of the dagger was much better than both of her rusty swords. She felt the weight of the dagger by tossing it repeatedly into the air in her hands and was satisfied with it. However, since there was no slots to arm the dagger on herself, she put it back into the bag. The last items she found were some bronze coins from the three bodies.

Xia Mo was extremely contented with her spoils of war. After the search, all the corpses disappeared one by one. And looked like nothing had happened. Xia Mo managed to retrieved the 2 darts that was shot out and kept them carefully. Without much delay, she dashed into the dense forest and return.

On the trip back, she took the clothings of the bandits out from her bag and tore them into two fingers width of thin clothes. Then, she wrapped it around the hilt of the swords which contain the bandit’s mark. Using the remaining clothing, she made a strap that enable to hold the two swords, overlapping each other like a “X” on her back.

After her preparation, she drew out and kept the swords a few times, in order to adjust the straps to the best length and height on her back, and then she was extremely cheerful in her strides.

In the previous life, Xia Mo best skill was her dual wielding. Although this set up gave her less defense compared with a sword and shield set, but this allowed her to provide her with more attack patterns and also increased her base damage.

To dual wield, one required extremely high speed and strong explosive power to maximize its usage. She used to have sufficient strength but her speed was always on the low end, and that was why she ended up as a normal player.

And in this present time, since she had decided her style of attack with her choice of weapons, she would be able to gain the relevant attributes increase from her setup from the start. Unlike her previous life, she was always trying various weapons for a while, and wasted the bonus attributes from the beginning phase, which was not helpful for her in her skill tree much later.

Since these two swords were made of raw metal, they were quite heavy but since she had ample Strength attribute, she only took a short while to adapt and got used to the weights.

When she was near to the stream, she withdrew both her swords, closed her eyes and started to concentrate. Xia Mo wanted to do her best to quickly gain the knowledge that she used to have. She practiced once so that the content would be infused into her current body. Hopefully, the body would adapt to what she learnt in her previous life from her mastery in both the techniques and movements of dual wielding.

She stood there for quite some time and ignored her surroundings. Suddenly, her body moved slightly, and her whole person seemed to become a sharp sword blade in an instant, using a simple stance with both her swords, but it nearly drained all her stamina. Xia Mo controlled her breath and panted heavily. Her target was the tree in front of her but her attack did not have any marks on it except making some leaves falling down.

She sighed. Even though the stance was 80 to 90 per cent similar, but her attributes could not match up to what she did earlier, and she had not gain the relevant skill yet, therefore her damage inflicted was very minimal.

Xia Mo did not give up and calmed herself down. She practiced it a few more times to let her body memorize the rhythm and movements of the skill. When she felt she had practiced enough, her body was in an exhausted state. She leaned against the tree and sat down, took a grilled fish out and started to stuff in into her mouth bite by bite, and waited for her stamina to recover.

The quiet sky was suddenly filled with flocks of birds flying away from something. Xia Mo opened her eyes and climbed to the top of a huge tree in a few leaps and looked in the distance where the source of the commotion was from. The area where the birds escaped was near to where Lushan Baomu was hiding, and for so many birds to be frightened, there was only one reason. There was a group of people in their territory and they did something.

Xia Mo could feel her heart slightly affected by her gut instinct that the youngster might be in a predicament. Although they did not spend too much time, his death would not impact her in any way. It was the norm that a person would perish in such surroundings. But he had such high Wisdom, possess the Gather skill and have a knowledge about medicine herbs, and she would have difficulty replacing him.

If she did not go there now, the youngster would definitely be dead. On the other hand, if she did, there might be a 10 to 20% chance that she could save him.

What should she do?

As she was killed by the person she saved in her previous life, she was wary and sensitive about giving a helping hand. She felt that her life would have some inconvenience if he was not around.

Xia Mo balanced the pros and cons to decide if she should still go the scene of the commotion and do her best to save him if possible.

Her priority now was to become a strong player, and any other unnecessary feelings that she had were naive. She would reach her objective by any means.

She left out a breath, kept her swords, landed down from the tree branch and ran ahead. Xia Mo tried to regulate her breathing and ran at the same time.

Lushan Baomu, you better stay alive before I arrived.
