Chapter 22 Chang Feng (Survival Game)

After a distance away from the two, Xia Mo seemed to have fully forgotten their existence. First, she went to collect all her starter items that were meant for beginners when they started the game, then she headed to the marketplace.

Once there, a player could give a silver coin to the NPC trader and he would process the paperwork for him or her to set up their own stall. However, as the game just started not long ago, most players were very busy with their quests so that they could get their hands on the weapons or armour as soon as possible. They also had very little money and could not afford to spend money for such an unnecessary purpose. Therefore, when Xia Mo set up her stall, it attracted a lot of attention from the players.

It was due to either their envy that she had the spare cash to start a stall or their curiosity about the items that she would be displaying to sell.

She displayed a rusty long sword for sale. This weapon was extremely hard to acquire and only a few people had it. Now someone was going to sell it? Who was this person? Every player wanted to know, but Xia Mo used a rough piece of linen to cover half her face.

From the two swords on her back, she did not look like a pushover.

Xia Mo opened her eyes and saw a tall bulky man standing in front of her. He had neat short hair, and he did not have any starter clothes on him. Behind his back was a big knife, although it looked ordinary, one would still stand out from the crowd.

His appearance started to invite the attention of the onlookers again and the quiet marketplace started to become noisy again.

He seemed to have good interpersonal skills with people as there were a few people who came up to him and greeted him. He seemed like a courteous and humble person overall.

She smiled and then it disappeared as she requested, “2 gold coins. No haggling.”

Chang Feng frowned and started to laugh. His hearty laughter resonated in the marketplace and seemed to light up the grey skies. He reached into his bag and took out 3 gold pieces and tossed them on her stall, and unaffectedly remarked,” You really do know how to dry up the efforts of my group.”

Xia Mo saw the gold coins but she was not in a hurry to collect the money and just lifted her head and sated at Chang Feng, “Conditions?”

“Hahaha, I like to make deals with smart people,” Chang Feng started to laugh again, and started to size up Xia Mo. He rubbed his chin and asked,” I am Chang Feng, you should introduce yourself.”

“Liu Huo.”

“Ok, Liu Huo,” Chang Feng nodded, and started to repeat her name a few times and then lowered his voice, “I want to know how you managed to get your equipment and the 2 long swords on your back. Is it near the starter village?”

However, Xia Mo stood up unhurriedly and passed the long sword into his hands and closed her stall. He took over the sword and smiled as he saw her stopped her business and left the marketplace.

He was unable to control it any longer and went to grab her arm after running her. He frowned and asked, “Liu Huo, what’s my answer?”

“Didn’t I give you it to you earlier?”

Chang Feng started to get serious,” If you want to be shameless about it, that’s not how you should do it. I am asking you sincerely, since you already kept the money, you should also honestly tell me the location. Although there are no penalties if you lie, but if you want to make enemies, I believe that is not a wise move.”
