This truck could have been used to transport eggs previously, as the floor was covered with rice straw. When she lifted her head, some of the rice straw was stuck to her mouth, making her a sorry sight to behold.
She spat out the rice straw and sighed.

The entire Qiao family’s assets belonged to Qiao Lian’s father.
She had not been able to come to terms with it.
