Chapter 1099 - Is He Married?

Letting Lu Lijun calm down, Lu Feng informed the family that he was with Lu Lijun and not to worry about it. While he asked his elder brother to take care of the family as he would be with Lu Lijun.

Lu Feng returned to Lu Lijun, who still sat in the gazebo, silently.

"Let's stay here tonight," Lu Feng said.

Lu Lijun didn't reply to his brother as he was worried about something else.

"Shouldn't we go after her? It's raining, and she was not in good condition," said Lu Lijun, feeling guilty and sitting his head lowered down.

"San Zemin is following her. She would be fine," Lu Feng replied. "Let's go inside."

Lu Lijun shook his head lightly, saying he didn't wish to. Lu Feng sat beside him, "Tell me when you are ready; then we can go."

The two continued sitting there, and Lu Feng asked, "Do you want to say something?"

Lu Lijun sat quietly for a while and then spoke, "Elder brother."

"Hmm."

"I love her."

"Hmm."

"I thought I hated her, but I never did."

"Hmm."

"I kept hurting her, and today I did even worse."

"Hmm." Lu Feng kept humming in response to let him take out everything and not interrupting. He wished to be only a listener.

"Is it wrong for me to love her?" Lu Lijun asked.

"That's up to you to decide," Lu Feng replied.

"Didn't she marry me? She is my wife."

"Do you love her just because you were married and think she is your wife?"

Lu Lijun went silent and thought about something.

"Even if that didn't happen, I would have still loved her. I see no one but her."

"Hmm."

"What should I do now?" he asked.

"Let things calm down and think carefully about what you want to do," Lu Feng replied. He paused for a while, thinking he should say it or not but finally decided to say, "There are more chances that your love might never be reciprocated."

"Hmm!" Lu Lijun nodded lightly, understanding what Lu Feng meant.

"Should we go inside, now?" Lu Feng asked.

Lu Lijun nodded. The rain was slow, but still, Lu Feng picked up Lu Lijun's jacket from the bench and put it on him to protect him from drenching in the rain.

The two went to the mansion as they crossed the pathway from the garden. Lu Feng pressed the bell, and soon the door opened.

The caretaker of this vacation home opened the door and was surprised by two young masters at this hour of the night.

He stepped aside to let them in, and Lu Feng spoke. "We will be here tonight."

"Yes, young master."

"Prepare something to eat," Lu Feng instructed, and the caretaker nodded.

Lu Feng signaled Lu Lijun to go. Just as the two left, a caretaker called for the other servants and told them what to do.

"But what are they doing here? Wasn't it the fourth young master's engagement today?"

The caretaker glared at the young servant. "Focus on your work."

When Lu Feng and Lu Lijun reached their rooms, Lu Feng spoke, "I'll get clothes for you."

Nodding, Lu Lijun went to his room while Lu Feng went to his.

Keeping the jacket of his suit in the chair, Lu Lijun stood at the window of his room from where the gazebo was visible.

It reminded him of what he did there a while ago. Not like he regretted it as he thought there was nothing wrong, but what had affected him was Jiang Yuyan's reaction and the look in her eyes, disgusted and hurt.

Lu Feng came to his room carrying clothes. "Get fresh. We need to eat."

"I don't feel like eating," said Lu Lijun.

"I am yet to eat too, and I don't wish to eat alone," said Lu Feng and left the room.

Lu Feng was also drenched in rain as he could think of nothing but the other two. While removing his suit's wet jacket and the white shirt, he received the message from An Tian. Getting rid of the wet shirt, he dialed An Tian's number. Lu Feng knew An Tain must be worried, and he forgot to inform him.

The moment the call got received, Lu Feng answered, "He is fine and with me."

"Yuyan?" An Tian asked.

"She is on the way back to Lu Mansion."

Talking for a while about what had happened between Lu Lijun and Jiang Yuyan, Lu Feng hung up the call and went to get freshen up.

An Tian and the two younger ones were sitting in the living room of An Tian's home. Though it was a late-night, the three couldn't sleep as the worry for Lu Lijun didn't let them be in peace.

"What happened when president Lu met him?" Jake asked.

"As expected," An Tian replied, and the two understood.

Finally, he confessed," Noah gave out a sigh of relief and asked, "What about President Lu?"

"Nothing is easy for your friend from now on," An Tian replied, feeling worried.

"What did she say? Is she fine?" Jake asked.

"She left after he confessed. The situation doesn't look good," said An Tian.

"What will happen? Will his family accept it?"

"Family is the second priority. First, she needs to accept it, which is close to impossible," An Tian replied.

"His family have no right to say anything. They are the reason this all is happening with him. Only if they had stopped that marriage when he was a kid," Jake frowned as he sympathized with his friend.

"Marriage?" Noah looked at Jake, who looked angry. "What do you mean?"

It surprised An Tian too. "How did you know it?"

"Wait, first tell me whose marriage?" Noah interrupted.

"Lijun and President Lu," Jake replied.

It shocked Noah to his bones and exclaimed. "Is he married and that too, president Lu? What in the world did I get to know? I can't believe it."

"How did you know it? Lu Lijun told you?" An Tian asked. If Lu Lijun was the one to tell him, that meant he never forgot it.

"No. Lijun never mentioned anything," Jake answered.
