Jiang Yuyan didn't know what to say exactly. Pulling out a smile she looked at her brother, "I am doing good brother as there are so many things keeping me busy lately."That was a forced smile, but her eyes clearly showed she was emotional inside.
"Since when did you learn to hide your true feelings from me, Yuyan?" Jiang Yang asked.
"Brother, I am really fine…."
"No more lies," he interrupted her.
Just then, the tears she was holding back made their way out and the next moment she spoke up the truth. "I am not fine, brother."
"I know."
"I miss him too much… and it's so painful that I feel like to dying…"
"I know that too and trust me we all miss him a lot."
Jiang Yuyan continued crying and Jiang Yang continued patting her head.
In a while, when Jiang Yuyan was calm, they heard the knocking on the door. Jiang Yuyan collected herself, and Jiang Yang passed her tissues.
"Come in," Jiang Yang instructed and Nixxxie entered the cabin.
Nixxxie came to the hospital after so many days, but coincidentally her friend Jiang Yuyan was there. Nixxxie visited Jiang Yuyan when she was in the hospital but once Jiang Yuyan went to the Lu mansion, Nixxxie couldn't visit her after knowing she was not talking to anyone and she was busy taking care of Lu Lijun. When she had a doubt that her step-brother might have something to do with Lu Qiang's accident she dared not to face Jiang Yuyan.
"Your friend is here, Yuyan," Jiang Yang informed and Jiang Yuyan turned to look back.
Nixxxie moved towards her with heavy steps and asked, "How are you Yuyan?"
"Fine," Jiang Yuyan replied as Jiang Yang signaled Nixxxie to have a seat.
Though they were friends, suddenly things become awkward around, where one didn't want to get sympathy from others and the other one didn't know what to say to console the person as no words were enough to do so.
"I have a patient to attend. Both of you can talk until I come back." Instructing, Jiang Yang left while these two nodded.
When Jiang Yang left, both ladies sat silently for a while. Jiang Yuyan knew Nixxxie's step-brother was involved in what she had lost, but she knew it was not her friend's fault. Instead, Nixxxie too had lost her brother because of Xi Cheng.
"Yuyan, I am sorry for not being able to visit you. I was….."
"It's fine Nixxx, there was no need actually. How are you doing?" Finally, Jiang Yuyan spoke and Nixxxie felt relieved.
"Nothing different from usual," Nixxxie replied.
Like normal friends both continued talking but Jiang Yuyan's mind was wandering with the thought that she would hurt Nixxxie's family member soon. She didn't know how it would affect them all, especially her brother's relationship with Nixxxie, how would it turn out when they would know the truth.
After some time, Jiang Yuyan got ready to leave. "Tell brother that I left as I have something important to do."
Nixxxie nodded, and Jiang Yuyan left. When Jiang Yang returned, Nixxxie informed him.
"What did you two talked about?" Jiang Yang asked.
"Nothing much," Nixxxie replied as she looked like she was thinking about something.
"What happened?"
"I am feeling sad for her. She has changed, and I am worried if I'll ever see her like before," replied Nixxxie as her expressions turned sadder.
"Hmm! She would be fine. She just needs time," Jiang Yang replied to console Nixxxie but in his heart, he knew it was difficult and he thought, 'But this time I don't know how long she will take to return to her old self."

Jiang Yuyan came back home, but in her mind, she had things going on related to Lu Corporation. After the dinner, she went to her mother-in-law, Ning Jiahui with the plan she had for the position of the president.
Hearing the knocking on the door, Ning Jiahui instructed, "Come in."
Jiang Yuyan sat on the couch, opposite to where Ning Jiahui was sitting in the chair.
"I need mother's help for tomorrow," said Jiang Yuyan.
"Hmm, I know. Have you prepared everything?" Ning Jiahui asked as she was aware of what was going on in Lu Corporation and what Jiang Yuyan was doing to get everything on the track.
"Yes, mother." Saying, Jiang Yuyan handed her over the file.
Ning Jiahui looked into the file and exclaimed, "Lu Lijun?"
Jiang Yuyan nodded, "After Lu Qiang, Lu Lijun is the one who should get his position and this is what Lu Qiang always wanted."
"He is so young right now," Ning Jiahui countered.
"We will announce him as future president and till then someone else would work as a temporary president until Lu Lijun is capable or we can keep it vacant and the chairman can lead the company till then," Jiang Yuyan suggested.
"You know Mr. Chairman is not in the conditions to lead the company and if we get a temporary president who would be that person?" Ning Jiahui asked.
"I was thinking to get Xiao Min as temporary president but it would create an uproar between the board members as everyone wants to take that position so we have no one but uncle Lu Chen to act as a temporary president."
"Hmm! That will work."
"Also, I need mother's help."
"Tell me."
"As father is not awake yet and to stop others from questioning when he will wake up, I want mother to take his position till he wakes up. Mother is Mrs. Chairman and holds the power in hand and mother was the one who had worked hard along with father while establishing this company, they won't be able to question it," Jiang Yuyan suggested.
Though Ning Jiahui gave attention to the family once the business was settled, she had helped Lu Jinhai to build this empire at the initial stage and she had knowledge about the business too.
Ning Jiahui agreed to what Jiang Yuyan planned, and Jiang Yuyan felt relieved.
Saying good night, Jiang Yuyan left the room, not knowing what would come in her way the next morning.
