Chapter 33: Onset Of Danger, Level 6 Walking Zombie?!

The thinner disciple eyed his candy, three fully stocked snuff bottles. His face darkened as he realized how this scene looked, with an unwilling expression, he would hand over two of his bottles to the black-bearded senior.

“M-My gifts to senior…“

The black-bearded cultivator’s face petrified a bit with shock, then returning with a cheeky grin, he would snag these two bottles happily from his disciple.

“This senile shouldn’t be reaping his disciple’s items, but since your road is weak in the martial dao, I suppose that this old man should safekeep these beads for you.”

“Shi Fu is correct, without Shi Fu, I would’ve never gotten close to this cave. Now, by using these Yin Beads, reaching the Foundation Building Realm wouldn’t be such an impossible feat. This disciple will be forever grateful to Shi Fu.” The thin disciple gives an act of selflessness, but only just an act.

That black-bearded cultivator was pleased with his student’s decisions, he nodded with approval,” Good! You are indeed a sensible student. For doing such a practical performance, this teacher shall requite you with the Foundation Whetting Pill. This will naturally build upon your foundations when attempting to pass the realms between a Qi Refiner and a Foundation Builder.” While his praises bloomed for his disciple, he would hand over a jade medicinal bottle.

The disciple would catch it, holding it like his own child. He thought of his decision earlier to hand over his precious beads, now thinking that it was worthwhile. He has been preparing for this moment for 10 straight years, snatching all necessary materials in order to fill the gap.

The black-bearded cultivator slides the coffin back up, covering the conspicuous spring hole. They, however, didn’t discover the rare stone below the coffin, preserving the Yin and reinforcing the output.

The black-bearded cultivator would start to feel activity from his compass, the needle started to spin before laying in a direction.

‘That fool just took out the coffin, he has spent a day’s time and two nighttimes and ran about 300 kilometers away. It’s indeed impressive, but unfortunately for him, he’s still within range.”

“It’s Shi Fu’s job to exterminate such pests, but the Yin Spring is still here and open. Our sect will not tolerate any exterior power getting close to it. I must stay here and keep watch until someone else from the sect comes. This is your job Shi Long, butcher that cattle that thinks he could just kill our sect disciples and leave. Returning successfully will only lead to more benefits for you, and also, take this compass with you, you’ll then be able to track him.“

”Yes, Shi Fu!!” The thin disciple would respond firmly, not even giving a second for hesitation.

……………………………………………………………………..

300 kilometers away from the Yin Spring, Zhang Yang found himself a small cave to rest in.

Zhang Yang didn’t know of the imminent dangers, he was just holding a Yin Bead, sitting cross-legged in the cave, using the bloody coffin as a cushion.

After he left the valley, Zhang Yang would regularly apply Agility Talismans onto himself, traveling for some time on foot.

He acknowledged the existence of the Tracking Talisman, to prevent this, he would ride along a stream to rid of his footprints, being blown away by gentle currents.

Zhang Yang realizes that he’s on the northern edges of the mountain, if he went and stumbled into the south, there would be much stronger creatures than the Giant Lizard.

Magical beasts were especially territorial, any unsuspecting beasts that crossed the southern border would have countless predators down their necks.

Zhang Yang earlier used a Level 3 Flame Talisman and two Level 2 Lightning Talismans to defend his life against a Level 3 Blood-Smothering Boar. That and an amount of Agility Talismans needed to escape.

Zhang Yang would escape to an area parallel to the valley, around there lived many Level 1 and 2 Magical Beasts.

At night, Zhang Yang would not expect any humans as they weren’t secluded in this big range, but occasionally, he would see mortals that were here to hunt for their villages.

This zombie knew that this mountain range was big and wide, expanding as he traveled hundreds of kilometers and it seems that the ambiance of things still didn’t change.

Zhang Yang would finally breathe easy, hidden away inside this small cave that was his temporary home.

Inside the cave, there was a nonexistent amount of Yin Qi. There was hardly anything to find in there, but Zhang Yang managed with the Yin Beads, letting them run as generators.

He has also decided that it was due time to pass this Level 5 realm, straight to Level 6. He has been firmly building his foundations for a year straight, not a day has gone to waste.

He pops a Yin Bead into his mouth, exerting his mind and focusing on the image of the ‘Tai Yin Refining Figures’, the Yin Qi would start to spread against his body, seeping into his meridians.

His pair of Qi Seas inside him would spin with impact, destructively moving in circles, like newborn, they would continuously swallow the Yin Qi that leaked to them.

Colossal amounts of Yin Qi were released by the Yin Bead as it was swallowed, flowing through Zhang Yang as if it was blood itself.

Although Zhang Yang was prepared for this intake, he hadn’t expected that this heavily concentrated Yin Bead would shock and influence his body like so.

His Sea of Qi would start to expand beyond its limits once more, it strained and seemingly was about to explode, but somehow it didn’t. He remains calm, remembering the past occurrence of this, breathing and circulating his Qi, he would use his spiritual power to guide his Yin Qi to form yet another cyclone of Qi. It would slowly start to build up, filling more and more and even started to spin.

Slowly, the new cyclone would be formed, masses of Yin Qi would be drained into it and along with it, it broadened from the center.

It would soon increase to equal the sizes of the other cyclones, impressively enough, this one Yin Bead would supply enough Yin Qi to Zhang Yang, creating another cyclone as plump as the others.

“Hong! Che-Che-Che”

A crackling sound would be heard from Zhang Yang’s body, his three cyclones would slowly start to merge, becoming as wide as a cyclops eye. Zhang Yang didn’t feel full anymore, his bloating feeling would pass as the newly established cyclone would start to rotate slower compared to the old, smaller ones. It was the sign that he raised to the esteemed Level 6 that many zombies yearned for but could never reach.

“Fi-Finally… !!! Level 6!”
