(POV Sanji)
Things really developed quickly after the whole purple clouds fiasco and five days quickly passed by while we kept a low profile and observed the situation from the dark. It seems my newly accepted little disciple was mistaken as the cause behind the bizarre occurrence as intended, but I was shocked by the news I heard.
I had to ask my wife to clean my ears out a few times thinking I misheard the events that transpired that day.
My cute little secret disciple, Chu Yue, broke through within one day to become a 1st realm semi transcendent?
Are you sure you aren't seeing things my brothers and sisters?
You're telling me those two posers, the patriarch and elder Hitu, personally witnessed the clouds dispersing like a receding tide upon her breakthrough?
Hell, if I was there to see such a coincidence and I was unaware of the events that transpired with little Han I may very well be a sucker for it too.
This coincidence was way too suspicious. I could only look over to my little wife with a questioning gaze after thinking about it long and hard. She just looked away like it was none of her business.
It was definitely you! You matched the timing perfectly, didn't you?
Oh, I almost forgot to mention it, during the time I was spaced out for five days pondering over the whole situation I broke through for some still unknown reason to become a 4th realm semi transcendent.
Who cares about something unimportant like that though. With all the exciting twist and turns going on outside, it's a bloody great drama if I do say so myself.
Everything was proceeding much better than I envisioned it. Sure a child who advanced from a 5th realm mortal to an 8th realm mortal within about half a month is impressive. However, this little girl who managed to break through to become a 1st realm semi transcendent from an 8th realm mortal within one day is far more monstrous.
After the world was turned upside down by what people are now calling the phenomenon, purple qi from the east, the sect was quickly surrounded by the great powers of the realm. Why they chose that name for the phenomenon, maybe I'll never know. It could just be because the sect was on the eastern part of the planet we were on.
Either way, they finished their investigations abnormally fast and jumped into action like cats that had their tails stepped on. A great dispute broke out over which power would claim rights to taking in Chu Yue. Hahaha! Little did they know everything was in the palm of my hands. You naive old fools were a step too late, that little girl already belongs to this grand daddy. I'll let you clowns fatten her up before I whisk her away together with little Han in the future.
Of course things never go completely as expected and one particular cunning old timer from the powers trying to take Chu Yue turned their eyes to bribing the patriarch and elder Hitu rather than trying to directly convince the little girl to join their empire. They said they would take good care of little Han and Sai Hitu if they chose to send Chu Yue to their empire and promised heavy remuneration for bringing up such a talent to strengthen the empire.
It was the crafty Celestial Empire which also happened to be the strongest empire in the realm making these promises and pulling strings in the background. To the sect their promises were as good as gold.
After pretending to struggle for a while the patriarch and elder Hitu "reluctantly" agreed to send little Han and Sai Hitu to the empire for "educational purposes" along with Chu Yue.
Before doing so the patriarch requested for some time before sending them over.
He requested for one month before he would send them over. His excuse was that the sect was about to pass down its heritage and it would be unfair if they were not around to attend and have the chance to take it for themselves.
It was obviously just a stall tactic in the eyes of the Celestial Empire. After all, what kind of heritage would come from such a insignificant and weak sect like this so far out in the boonies. Such a pathetic heritage could never catch the eyes of these clowns. Their heads were naturally so far up in the clouds they thought themselves to be above all beings across all mortal realms.
If they knew that it was a heritage from my almighty wife from the upper realms I really wonder how regretful they would be.
It was finally time to see just what this so called heritage was. I looked expectantly towards my wife but she simply smiled and kept to her silence.
"Little wife, please just a little hint! I'm dying to know what this heritage you left behind could possibly be."
"It must be something revolutionary and groundbreaking to be something left behind by you, right?"
"You could definitely say that."
She looked really cocky and confident.
"Then just a little hint. Please?"
"Nope. You will just have to be a good boy and wait to find out."
"Haaah. Fine. You're no fun. A little hint wouldn't hurt, right? It's not like it's going to be something stupid like white tiger slash, vermillion bird flames, black tortoise shield, or azure dragon ascends the heavens? There's no way you would leave something stupidly predictable and overused like that right?"
"..."
"Why would it be something stupid like that husband?"
"Why were you silent for a moment?"
"I was just surprised by your poor naming sense."
"You'd be surprised my wife, in my other world it was like those were the only moves that ever existed since time immemorial. For some reason those animals were heralded like the words of god or the bible."
I couldn't help but notice my wife avert her gaze to look in a certain direction.
It couldn't be. Right?
"Little wife, what are you looking at so far off into the distance?"
"Have you never heard husband, there are things in life that you are better off not asking."
Snap.
"My wife, why did you snap your fingers?"
"I get a sudden urge to snap my fingers at random intervals. My doctor said it was due to some trauma I faced one time in my earlier years as a child."
"Right..."
