33. Pardon Us for the Intrusion
Emyurill received the message a few hours after sunset. A monster tapped on her window. Rio's letter was tied onto one of its legs.
"I will go to your place tonight" was written on it.
After reading the letter, Emyurill talked to the other mages in her captivity room and told them to wait at the back.
How long has it been?
The night was long and quiet. Suddenly, there were large sounds like 2 heavy objects hitting the floor, then followed by 3 knocks on the door. That moment, Emyurill smiled and opened the door, allowing the 2 figures slid inside the room.
Rio-chan. Also Av-san and Lapis-chan. You really came. Nobody saw you, right?
Of course. We made the guards sleep before they could find us out
You knocked them out? Won't they make a lot of fuss later when they wake up?
Ah, no, I mean actually sleeping. Wanzardt-san gave this dried thingy to us. If we burn this, anyone who inhaled its fumes will fall asleep in an instant. I don’t think sleeping during lookout isn't very uncommon, so I don’t think there's going to be any immediate trouble. Besides, Jet is out there, so he’ll let me know if anything happens

Emyurill patted Rio’s head and accepted her apology.
Truthfully, no one was allowed to use the teleportation magic square inside Rey’s room. But it's not like she had to apologize or anything. First of all, magic is applied in that room so no one is allowed inside without Rey’s permission. In other words, Rey put an experimental intrusion prevention magic square.
And so, even if someone thought that there was “something” inside the room, nobody could enter it except the few first people that supports Rio, which includes Rey and Rio herself.
Unfortunately, those people didn’t include Emyurill.
Which was why Emyurill couldn’t use the teleportation square. It was as simple as that.
And so, what can I do for you in this late hour?
The letter she received only told them about their arrival. To answer Emyurill’s question, Rio took out a piece of large paper from her bag and spread it out.
A map?
It’s was a rough map of the continent, along with Sarawin Empire.
There was a line drawn in the middle that probably represents the “territorial line" when the humans and demons hadn’t fought against each other.
On one side of the map next to the "territory line”, each and every city where 2/3 of human populations lives was depicted. And in the shaded area, the words “Demon Territory” was written.
The map easily represented the current situation of this continent. With the map spread out, Rio finally explained the reason she came to Emyurill.
We’re going to confirm Rey-sama and the other’s safety

Rio's determination left Emyurill puzzled.
Is she for real?She glanced towards Av for confirmation, but was only met with his silence.
