Life.1 Devils in the Process! 

Part 1 

“Hey, you! Wait!” 

Late at night ? I let out an angry scream while rushing through an abandoned building at night. 

It was as a result of sudden orders from the Archduke arriving at Buchou's place. The details were: to eliminate a Stray Devil. 

We headed towards an abandoned multi-store building on the town’s outskirts where the Stray Devil was hiding. As soon as we entered the building, we were welcomed with its attacks, and the pursuit started. 

“This is the end!” 

From Buchou, who was running at my side, the Power of Destruction gushed out of her hand, striking forward. 

Doonn! 

The brutal force ran through the abandoned building in the darkness, gouging the walls and floor of the corridor arriving at its end. 

Instantly, several magic circles unfolded from the end of the corridor, trying to prevent the Power of Destruction. 

Bakin! While the sound of something like glass breaking echoed, the Power of Destruction easily destroyed the magic circles trying to stop it. 

“Kuu!” 

I also heard a voice in pain. It seems like the enemy was also affected by the attack just now. 

“Buchou, I'll go on ahead!” 

Kiba, who appeared on our side in an instant, said this and leapt forward as the blade of his demonic sword glinted. 

The spark of countless sword attacks repelled the darkness of the night. After that, Buchou confirmed that there wasn't any sound anymore and sighed. 

“It seems like Yuuto has put an end to the enemy.” 

Akeno-san too appeared from behind and regrouped with us. 

“Ara ara, it's already over? While we were dealing with the magic beast released by that person Buchou and others took out the good part. Right, Koneko-chan?” 

The one who appeared together with Akeno-san was Koneko-chan, who spoke while throwing a gigantic ominous flying insect that she was holding in her hand in the corridor.

The insect that collided with the corridor started making a bubbling sound as it foamed and disappeared. It was the insect familiar released by the Stray Devil. 

While Akeno-san and Kokeno-chan became the opponent of that thing, I and the others continued pursuing our target. Uugh, even when disappearing, that ominous thing does it weirdly...

With Buchou at the front, we approached the place where Kiba cornered the opponent. 

At the back of the corridor, a slender, built man wearing a robe kneeled while covering a wound on his shoulder. Kiba didn't take his eyes from him for even an instant as he aimed the tip of his demonic sword at the man. 

Buchou took a step forward and asked with a fearless smile. 

“Nice to meet you, Stray Devil-san. Checkmate. Or are you prepared to come at us without giving up?” 

Hearing Buchou's words, the man raised his hands to prove that he couldn’t resist. 

“No, I'll surrender. As expected, I have little chance if the opponent is the princess of the Gremory household.” 

Heh ? unexpectedly, he was obedient. I thought he would come at us with everything like a previous Stray Devil, Viser, and be beaten up by us... 

“So you're okay with surrendering and leaving yourself to be judged by the Underworld, right?”

She bound the man with a rope made of demonic power as the rope showed demonic letters used to restrain. When she finished binding the man, a magic circle of teleportation unfolded below the man's feet. The light of the magic circle shone brightly at night. 

In the end, everything ended like this. I didn't play an active role in the fight against Viser, the previous Stray Devil, so I worked hard to be of use this time, but...I didn't even use my Boosted Gear’s [Boost] and [Transfer] abilities. I should have become a little stronger after the fight against the Phoenix. I'm still far from being compared with Kiba or Akeno-san. Hahaha…

We were free after dealing with the Stray Devil. After the fight with Riser Phoenix, our lives returned to normal as we lived peaceful days, but suddenly, we were entrusted with the order to deal with a Stray Devil. Then we dealt with it a while ago. 

After completing the subjugation, everyone from the peerage showed relieved expressions as they headed home. Only I was unable to forget the last words left by that man. 

He was okay with being captured after escaping from his master because he could complete what he wanted to do?

It was Grayfia-san who greeted Buchou! I haven't seen her since she nursed me after the incident with Riser. Did she contact us using a magic circle? Grayfia-san? Did something happen? 

Buchou asked this due to the sudden contact. 

“Good evening, Grayfia. Did something happen?” 

[Yes. It's about the Stray Devil subjugated by Ojou-sama last night]. 

Stray Devil. 

It's about the guy from last night. Grayfia-san continued to report about the Stray Devil from last night. 

“—Then, that Stray Devil was an alchemist related to magic beasts, right?”

Hearing Grayfia-san's explanation, Buchou put her hand on her chin. 

“That Beast Devouring Plant is a Chimera together with a Dragon...a Dragon as a Chimera is troublesome. Even under normal circumstances, dragons are already the strongest creatures...” 

Dragons are the strongest creatures?. At the time of Riser's incident, it was explained that different from devils and angels, dragons are a mass of power and that one of them resides in my body...
