High School DxD DX - Volume 6 - Chapter Aft

Afterword 

Dear readers, it's been a while. Ishibumi here. 

It's been a year since the last issue (Shin High School DxD 4) and now DX.6 is out. 

The reason for this will be explained later, but first of all, I would like to talk about "The Ambition of Oda Nobuna" that we collaborated on in this volume. 

Since we have the same illustrator Miyama Zero-san, we decided to collaborate on a short story about DxD and Nobuna as part of Dragon Magazine before. We wrote short stories for each other and collaborated on the magazine together. The DxD characters written by Mikage Kasuga-sensei and Nobuna's characters written by me are mixed up, and I think that both short stories drawn from each viewpoint and story development were extremely fun to write. 

Once again, thank you very much, Kasuga-sensei, for your collaboration at that time and for allowing me to include your story in DX.6 now. I enjoyed the collaboration. 

The reason why it has been a year since the last edition is because I became very ill in 2020 and needed a long period of recuperation. Although it wasn't life-threatening, I was unable to write in the summer of the year 2020, and I had to concentrate on treatment and recuperation. Now, with the help of medication, I am gradually able to lead a normal life. I am discussing with my editor and we are trying to find a time when I can return to work. 

Dear fans, I would like to apologise for not being able to prepare the new editions of Shin DxD and SLASHDOG, as well as any new story in this volume. I am very sorry for the inconvenience this illness has caused to Miyama Zero-san, Kikurage-san, who is in charge of the illustrations of SLASHDOG, and the editor in charge of me. 

In recent years, I've caused you all to worry due to my health, but rest assured that when I'm feeling well, I have flashes of inspiration for the development of the stories and the writing of each piece, which I write down and occasionally share with my editor, so you can feel relieved about that. I'm sure I'll be back soon, so please bear with me.
