After the coronation ceremony was carried out without a hitch, a gilded crown glittered atop Tigre’s head. With the throne in his back, Tigre surveyed the people who had gathered in the audience hall.

“I stole the throne. I am not a man of Zhcted. And if you take my lineage and origin into account, I might not be fit to be king. But, I believe a king is defined by what kind of political principles he follows. I shall inherit the wills of Ruslan and Eugene, striving to make all efforts for the sake of Zhcted.” He made a short break, put his breathing in order, and continued, “Everyone being able to get through the winter’s cold without fearing wild beasts and bandits or starvation, a prosperous coming and going of people, and the ability for everyone to lead a life full of joy and laughter…that’s the kind of country I am vying for. I am well aware that it will not be easy to achieve. And for this reason, I would like to borrow your power.”

The audience hall had become as still as death. What broke that silence was someone applauding and shouting, “Hurrah!” It wasn’t clear who kicked off the applause, but at the very least it wasn’t anyone close to Tigre. Immediately following, the applause and hurrah-cries increased manifold, soon turning into a chorus inside the audience hall.

Elen and Lim stared at Tigre with dumbfounded expressions. Both had tears in their eyes and on their cheeks as they smiled broadly.

“Lady Eleonora, this is not the moment for you to cry…”

“You’re in no position to tell me, are you…? It sure is good that we didn’t put on any make-up.”

Both brought their faces close together so as to hide themselves from the eyes of other people, and laughed while wiping each other’s tears away.

Tigre’s declaration was a copy of Vissarion’s dream. Of course, it was doubtable that it’d turn out to be the same as Vissarion’s dream, even if the words might have been the same. However, it was a great pleasure for Elen that Vissarion’s will had been inherited by her loved one, who was now king.
