Broken Accessory? What is that thing supposed to be?
「It is an accessory that lets you temporarily change your Agility and Dexterity to that of a combined value of those skills of other people in your party.」

So does that mean that with an accessory like that, people such as Rei or Massive Dynamite could become walking tanks or weapons of mass destruction? And all on their own at that? I mean yes, sure, it is quite broken…… But I honestly think that INVENTORY is even bigger of a deal here. But an accessory like that is almost certain to be hit with a nerf hammer in the future, so I would not place my hopes with that one.
I mean, is it not crazy that you can store almost anything inside of a closed space with seemingly unlimited storing capacity.
「But that being said, this item must be special or limited. The Princess said that it has been passed down in the royal family for generations now.」
「Ah, so it’s a heritage thing, huh……」
But even if marriage was possible in this game and someone managed to marry into the royal family by some sort of miracle here, I guess it would still be impossible for that person to use an item like that. Thinking about it carefully, aren’t accessories like that the things that make it possible for the NPCs to be at the level of players to some extent? So that the players would not completely overthrow the current political world order?
Besides, while we are sitting here and talk about accessories, the others are fighting out there and risk their lives. See? Even Deepslughter flies through the air like some sort of a rag doll…… What a sight to behold~.
「I mean, even if you take that into account, using the Princess as a monster decoy…… That Princess must know no fear, let me tell you.」
「Look, I’m telling you…… That’s only because she volunteered for this job. Besides, she said so when she learned that initially it was Erina who was supposed to be the decoy……」
That chick? That is something that you would need to worry yourself about, but if someone is willingly agreeing to do something even if it is something dangerous, then I guess there’s little to no point arguing. But what if she dies there? Is it going to count as a bad karma for me? That would be bad, but what if my Vorpal Soul meter is going to drop because of that as well? So I guess that if things go south here, they will go south all the way, huh? …… And there is also the matter of Emul’s attitude.
I mean, why is this monster giving those NPCs so much slack? So far the one who is taking the majority of damage upon herself is Deepslaughter, meanwhile the other NPCs seem to be doing fine. Beside the fact that they only hype themselves up all the time but their damage does not reflect that hype all too well.
I kind of get it. Their bows must be doing so little damage that the Great Red Devourer hardly considers them as a distraction. If anything, its attitude towards the People of the Forest is more like: “Which one of those small fries I should kill first here?” Too little damage and they cannot even maintain aggro all that well. But still…… I don’t want to see that raid monster crushing all of the People of the Forest with only one of its breath attacks. That would have been simply too cruel to watch.
The battlefield may be in a state of equilibrium for now, but this is all going to change once the Great Red Devourer decides to act in earnest…… One physical attack on its part would have been more than enough here to cause some serious casualties. So why……?
「Could it be that…… Hey, do you think that this raid monster is actually a part of the quest? “The Migrating Elves”, to be more exact?」
「No, I mean, does it even matter right about now…… Eh? Wait. Wait, wait, wait, wait…… No way! You……」
「Well, actually, before I have met you I have already been to the frontline base about a couple of times. However, every single time this particular monster would show up to disturb us. I think that even if we try to run away, it will just come and chase after us forever.」
Tottori then smiles in a truly viscous way, showing his perfectly white teeth. At that point in time, I can feel rumbling at my feet, but it was the kind of rumbling that was entirely different from that when the Great Red Devourer would summon something to its side.

The way in which Tottori said that indicated that he already knew what my answer here would be.
After that, I saw those two Elves, Hesh and Erina running towards a place that I only suspected would be some sort of designated position. So what, the rest of the Elves here were simply buying time for those two?
So I guess this was just a coincidence that I was revived here? They wasted one of their recovery items on me simply because I just happened to die on the spot when they were trying to pass me by or approach me for something? Is that what is going on here?

Is that…… Is that the tri-headed Tyrannosaurus Rex that I see coming this way!? And are those swords sticking out of its back!? So, does that mean the Knights corps commanded by the Third Knight had been dealt with just like that?
In that moment, I understood what Tottori’s game here was. So, he wanted to lure the tri-headed Tyranosaurus here so that it would do all the heavy hitting for us. And certainly, even though that thing was wounded all over, it looked like someone who only sees victory in front of its eyes, not even considering being defeated as an option. A monster like that appeared here: A majestic king of the Dinosaurs.

No, I think that our real enemy is going to be the one who is going to emerge victorious from this battle of monsters!
