Chapter 89
Lin Jiage didn't bother looking at the subsequent replies Shi Yao sent over .
Looking out of the window, he watched the streets pass him by . A while later, a glint flickered across his eyes, and he said, "Let's stop by the old residence first . "
His abrupt words had broken the silence in the car, drawing the surprised gazes of both the driver and Shi Yao upon him .
Swiftly recovering from his state of daze, the driver replied with an "Alright" before changing the course which the car was moving on .
If he's going home, what about me?
Shi Yao stared at Lin Jiage for five seconds, and coincidentally, the car happened to pass by a subway station at that moment . So, she quickly spoke up, "Uh . . . You can let me down here . I'll just take a train back to school…"
"What about the cake then?" Lin Jiage glanced at Shi Yao and asked with a nonchalant voice .
So, he wanted to head back to the old residence to pass me the cake?
Before Shi Yao could say a word, Lin Jiage had already continued speaking, "You're not thinking of having me deliver the cake to your dorm room, right?"
Without any hesitation, Shi Yao hurriedly shook her head, "N-no, of course not!"
Six years ago, when his objections were overthrown and he was forced to accept her as his fiancée, he had personally gone to find her to confront her on their engagement .
That was the only time he had spoken to her in the first three years ever since she was introduced to him .
She might have been very young back then, but she still remembered every single word he had said . Six years did nothing to muddle her memory of those words, and she didn't dare to allow it to be muddled either .
He had said, 'My grandfather is the only one who acknowledges you as my fiancée . As for me, you'd better not dream about it . There's no way I'll ever accept you as my fiancée in this lifetime . '
