After that, judging that it was impossible for the monsters of this dungeon to be able to hurt Yanagi’s and Katagiri's bodies with their abilities, Hana and I left their corpses and returned to the surface.

On the surface, the students and their escorts who participated in this dungeon exercise had been waiting. And they seemed relieved after learning that Hana was safe.

When Hana was asked why she was left behind, she explained that as a result of desperately trying to escape when she was being attacked by another monster on the way, she got separated from everyone, which was the answer that we had prepared before.

And as I added that I went searching for her and safely brought her back, they were easily convinced. However, the problem was Yanagi and Katagiri who haven't returned.

After waiting for a while, the people from the Adventurer Association arrived. And they, who seemed to be experienced adventurers, went inside the dungeon to help Yanagi and Katagiri.

Then approximately 20 minutes later–they were back, along with two corpses and a stone board.

Looking at that, my heart quickened.

They gathered around the stone board and started a discussion in a panicked manner. Although they're talking in a voice that couldn't be heard by the students, I could hear it clearly.

"Do you think the things that are written on this stone board are true? About how Yanagi-kun killed Katagiri-san…"

"It’s totally unbelievable. Because he didn't look like someone who would do such a thing…"

"At any rate, we should verify this information. If he indeed possessed a skill called Plunderer, and has plundered Tame, that situation can be explained."

"Although we can't say for sure yet, the fact that the Tamer had died mysteriously in another dungeon is true. Therefore, we'll have to ascertain the situation at the time of that murder once again. With that, everything might be revealed."

"Then, we'll have to trouble you."

_On that stone board, I have written down everything about the chronology of this matter, except for the fact that Hana and I were there.

My current ability was still far from competing with the strongest in the world. That's why I still can't let [Transfer Within Dungeon] be disclosed yet.

… If they knew that I have the ability to kill Yanagi, there was a high possibility that my skill would be revealed because of the domino effect too.

Even so, I couldn't just silently overlook this matter. Yanagi tried to take many lives by exploiting his position as a member of the Adventurer Association. At least, I had to make this fact known.

Thus, as a compromise, I decided to leave a stone board with a note about this matter.

The stone board was created by cutting out the stone that was there and the letters were written using a knife. If it were the characters that were written using a knife, surely it would be difficult to determine that I was the one who wrote it even if they tried to appraise the handwriting.

Anyway, while I was thinking about that, their discussion continued.

"But more importantly, who wrote this down…"

"Although there must be a reason why this person doesn't want to reveal his or her identity, this matter still can’t be overlooked from our standpoint. Thus, please make an inquiry from ordinary adventurers that came out of the dungeon as to whether they saw any suspicious people inside."

"Understood"

After that, someone from the Adventurer Association went in front of the gate of the dungeon and one more person came in our direction. Then, he lowered his head.

"We are terribly sorry for getting everyone involved in this case. But could I ask everyone to answer some questions to find out the truth of the case?"

Then, he asked us some questions about how the monster appeared, about how was Yanagi’s and Katagiri’s response to the situation, and so on.

Halfway, they also asked a few more questions to Hana who got separated from the group, and me who went to save her.

However, from what I could see, there seems to be no suspicion that we were the ones who killed Yanagi.

But that was understandable, because they could never imagine that I who wasn't even 20 years old or Hana who just acquired her status for a few days could kill either them or the monsters with a recommended level to subjugate of around 10,000.

In the end, even after including the answer they heard from the adventurers who were in the dungeon after that, they still couldn't uncover the truth about the case, and we were allowed to go home.

That night, I told Hana about everything that has happened so far.

About how after becoming an adventurer for a year, I continued to struggle while being looked down on as an incompetent.

About how as a result of the awakening of [Transfer Within Dungeon], I became able to capture the dungeon as many times as I wanted while ignoring the intermission.

Or about how I didn't know what kind of danger would await me if the fact that I could grow dozens of times faster than the other adventures was discovered, thus that made me decide to hide it from the surrounding people, including my family.

After listening to the end, Hana laughingly nodded. And seeing such a reaction from Hana, I stroked my chest relieved.

Although there were still some other things that I wanted to talk to Hana, as my fatigue has accumulated, I decided to rest for today.

… That should have been, but–

A while after I went to bed to heal my several days’ worth of fatigue due to the events that happened including the event at the Isolated Demon Tower after taking a bath, a knocking sound bounced into the room.

"Hana?"

"… Onii-chan, can I sleep together with you today?"

When I opened the door, Hana, who was in her sleepwear while hugging a pillow, was there.
