Chapter 11 - Don’t judge a book by its cover

Qi Yichen chuckled to himself, because he knew that he could draw their attention.

“Who are you?” He was indeed stopped by a soldier.

Qi Yichen slightly smiled, “This one is called Qi Yichen, may I ask what you’re looking for?”

“Have you seen Third Miss of Gu Manor, Gu Qingyu?” As the soldier saw Qi Yichen’s angelic smile, his tone softened up.

Qi Yichen casually pointed his fingers, “I think she went that way.”

“Many thanks, young master.” The people of Gu Manor weren’t really bad people. They cupped their fists and ran towards the direction where he pointed.

Qi Yichen smiled and left.

Dressed in red, a beautiful and coquet man walked out of the room just as the remaining soldiers arrived.

“Have you seen……” The soldiers stopped their sentences suddenly, “Ah! Blood Burial City Lord!”

“What’s it?” The man flirtatiously smiled at them.

“Nonono! Nothing at all!” They immediately fled from the scene.

The one called “Blood Burial” red-clothed man shook his head and mumbled to himself, “Did they have to? It’s not like I eat people……”

Jia Qizhe and Co arrived at the small stream in the bamboo forest. They sat down and rested by the river, while waiting for Qi Yichen.

Sure enough, Qi Yichen didn’t disappoint them and arrived shortly later at the brook.

“Let's go then!” Gu Qingyu became really impatient to arrive at their destination as quickly as possible.

“Qingyu, can you fly?” asked Qi Yichen suddenly.

“What?” Gu Qingyu looked puzzled at Qi Yichen.

“It’s a bit far from here, we must take flight.” Jia Qizhe gave Gu Qingyu a disdainful look, “Could it be that you don’t know how to fly?”

“Umm……” I really don't know. “I……” Gu Qingyu didn’t know how to reply.

“!!”” Gu Qingyu suddenly realized, “Even though Qi Yichen’s outward appearance looks innocent and harmless, comparable to that of a descendant of the gods; His true self is a two-faced, mischievous, big bad wolf!!”

Gu Qingyu listlessly waved her hands. She grinded her teeth, “Thank you-ah, really!”

“Don’t be so polite, Qingyu.” he said as he gently smiled at her.

“……” I’m completely defeated.

Gu Qingyu rolled her eyes at him unhappily.

Jia Qizhe summoned a sword, and stood on it together with Little Qi for the rest of the flight.

Before long, it started to gradually get darker.

They finally reached the mountain.

By the time they landed, the skies were completely covered by stars.

“Why don’t we continue to fly up?” She looked at Qi Yichen doubtful, she started to get a bad feeling again.

“It’s quite straining to keep flying for so long,” Qi Yichen’s eyes lit up, “Moreover, there are many monsters on the mountain, so flying during the night can be quite risky. It’s more convenient to go on foot anyways!”

Jia Qizhe summoned a sword and followed behind them slowly.

Qi Yichen summoned his fan as well, and caught up with them.

No one said anything while walking, the mood turned very awkward.

All of a sudden, something flashed by Gu Qingyu’s eyes. Jia Qizhe’s sword immediately shoot out a blue lightray. Oblivious to what just happened, Gu Qingyu just saw Jia Qizhe leisurely put away his sword.

Gu Qingyu stared blankly at Jia Qizhe, “What was that just now?”

“Nothing much. A monster suddenly showed up, merely a tiger demon.” Jia Qizhe laughed nonchalantly.

Gu Qingyu had a face that said “At that moment, I knew I was shocked”, “Yo-you’re saying that you just got rid of a tiger demon?!”

“Yeah, what else?” Jia Qizhe tilted his head and looked at her.

Gu Qingyu, “……”

“Nothing to be surprised at, Jia Qizhe has quite the reputation on this continent.” Qi Yichen said smilingly.

“Ah~ I forgot to tell you,” Jia Qizhe suddenly started to grin sinisterly, “I tend to really like to slay monster, especially cat demons~”

“Uhh……” Gu Qingyu suddenly felt uneasy, she immediately started to feign laughter, “Oh really? Ahahaha, what an interesting hobby you got there~ Am I right, Qi Yichen?”

Since Qi Yichen had no clue she was a cat demon, he certainly wouldn’t ‘Let the cat out of the bag’!

“That’s right,” Qi Yichen smiled, “Why don’t we go together some other time, and catch a few cat demons for Jia Qizhe as training dummies!”

"……Stop talking or you’ll die prematurely one day!" Gu Qingyu suddenly had the urge to slap herself.

“Heheheh!” Gu Qingyu laughed bitterly.

They almost reached half ways up the mountain, however, a “certain” someone’s physical strength wasn’t in a good condition at all.

“Argh! I can’t walk anymore!” Gu Qingyu leaned miserably and exhausted on Little Qi’s shoulders. She let out the ‘X’th sigh, “Why is the mountain so tall! Why is everything so hard!”
