Love with an age gap sure is wonderful, isn’t it?

On top of that, it is the forbidden love between a teacher and a student, which makes it even more wonderful, as earnest students will wholeheartedly trust a ‘teacher’ just because a ‘teacher’ is a role to be respected, and they are also lovely when they accept some mildly unreasonable guidance just because the teacher said it.

Moreover, the ‘teacher’ is whom the student yearn for as an opposite sex.

Although the ‘teacher’ in this novel is hiding something under his smile…

Nice to meet you all, I am Amagi Kei.
I am honored to be the winner of the 28th Fantasia Grand Prize. Ths novel, “Assassin’s Pride”, is a revised version of my application manuscript.

To the readers reaching here, how is my novel? I will be blessed if you can stay with me for a few more pages for some chatting.

And this is to those who are standing while reading, thinking “Let’s start from the afterword!” Even if I am a boring person… wait! It is too quick for you to put down the book.

If you question the value of this book, just go over the first few pages… you don’t need to read the prologue yet, just look at the colorful illustration, and you might already want to bring it to the cashier.

So here is the afterword, which is a few pages long. I was wondering what I should write, and I decided to give my acknowledgements to all the ones who helped me, as this is my debut novel.

First, I would like to thank my person in charge in Fantasia Bunko.

Thank you for always guiding me precisely. It is your skill that trained me to be able to make my novel shine more and more, and I have to express my humble gratitude.

Not only the development of the story, your ability to also give me the most suitable advice in terms of visual design is also amazing. “Let’s go with this regarding Kufa’s costume,” “Melida’s hairstyle should be like this,” “The cover illustration should give this feeling,” etc. Looking at you having these magical ideas flying around, and back to myself only able to nod while saying words like “Yes,” “It looks good,” “I agree”, I am reflecting on myself.

Then, I would like to thank the one who combined my person-in-charge’s ideas and my half-baked image in my head, and designed them vividly, who is my illustrator, Ninomoto Nino.

I am glad when I know you are going to be my illustrator, and when I see the coolness and cuteness of the character actually designed.

The heroines’ are so charming that my greed takes over, and started to blurt out somewhat shocking comments of obsession, like “It is best to make her chest big!” “Delicate and big thighs are ambivalent!”, which is a good memory for me. (lit. I am reflecting on myself.)

I am a writer whose incompetent story drags the unparalleled illustration behind for now, so at least I would like to take a step forward, aiming to be a writer suitable for the wonderful illustration.

Next is the editor in chief of Fantasia Bunko.

Thank you for calling me this many times. It is already an honor to be able to talk to you.

If possible, I would like to react more comedian-like when I received your notification about my award, but instead i replied like an idiot by “Huh? Oh… I got the Grand Prize…that’s awesome…”, and I am sorry for that. I will reflect on myself about this.

I am very glad to be able to make my debut on the honorable Fantasia Bunko.

To the people involved in the selection of the 28th Fantasia Grand Prize, and the Selection Committee.

I would like to thank you for discovering my unworthy manuscript, and go as far as giving me the Grand Prize. I am worried if I am worthy of getting such a prize, but I hope sometime later I can become a writer who can accept this award with my head held high.

Regarding the publication of this novel, not only those who I know are involved, but many people have also paid an effort helping me. I would like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude, and  I look forward to working together with you from now on.
