Volume 4 Chapter 6
LESSON: VI ~ The Train Named Mortal Sin~
(Unedited)

The party room is now dominated by an atmosphere more somber than a funeral

Tables and food were placed against the wall, and about 30 men, women and children were forced to kneel in the center of the empty space. Like a cage, they were surrounded by Car attendant armed with hard flying armor and thick mechanical swords. But all of them covered their faces with masks and pulled the railroad identification badge from their collars

Though the hostages dont know, but the real identity of the raider was that of the Shicksal branch family that tried to assassinate the Rotating King in order to prevent his coronation. It was only after the failure of the attack on the parish of King that it was suggested that they had disappeared during the tour, and that it had turned out to be such a heroic means of taking the King train by force that they had launched a final offensive.

Directly opposite the entrance, it was a handsome young man in a luxurious dress who was forced to step onto the stage as if to make an example. He was bound in chains, and only the corners of his mouth could be seen from under his broad-brimmed hat.

Among the hostages were also seen Troupe Daby, Amy and rest three maids. The silent gaze of the King was fixed on them in particular, and next to them was the youngest girl about ten years old among them.

“Your Majesty…..uee, Your Majesty!”

The girls cries grew louder and louder, so a nearby flight attendant stepped forward. He swung his strange-looking Mechanical Sword and plunged it into the carpet with a thud.

The sight of the blade digging into the front of her feet sent a shudder through the girls throat “Hiy!”

“Be quiet, please. I can’t hear the Kings words.”

He let out a triumphant voice from under his mask, and the other flight attendants, for some reason, laughed in agreement. As the passengers looked quizzically at each other, a voice rose from the stage.

“Everyone, please rest assured. Now that the King is in our hands, you will not be harmed again. You can watch from the top of the class as he gets eliminated.”

It’s a young man who must be the leader of the group, posing as a conductor. He also wore a mask to hide his true face, pointing a fierce mechanical sword at the young man in the dress uniform.

“But there is one more thing here! We have some very sad news to share with you. The Duke here, Serge Shicksal… is not the real!”

The passengers who had been held hostage raised their heads as they lowered their heads. The masked leader saw the opportunity and raised his sword point. The hat with the brim cut off flew up to the ceiling of the party room.

First, a businessman dressed as a man says, “Ah! “. Women who rave about Kufa at parties are speechless. Then Amy and the rest, who knew him, murmured in inaudible tones, how did this happen?

It was a face unlike Serge Shicksal’s. In contrast to the breezy Serge, it evokes the sharp eyes of the winter sky. The most obvious was the glossy black hair that everyone was staring at.

“It’s not like the picture”

The young girl, who was being held hostage, gave a forthright response, and the leader, satisfied with his reaction, turned to the King.

“If you lie, I’ll kill one… so tell them, are you the real King?”

“….No.”

Unlike Serge, the voice of steel destroyed the hopes of the passengers.

“I am just a shadow warrior. The real King… isn’t here.”

“Do you hear that? Everyone!”

The leader, like an actor, opens his arms and turns his head to the venue. The sight of a hostage begging for help must have been more comfortable for him than the spotlight.

“At this time of your desperation, Serge Shicksal used his stand-in as a shield to escape and hide. How despicable! How weak! There’s a crying girl over there. You could try asking for help again. Is this guy really gonna show up, despite the danger?”

“Aa….a….”

The passenger again bowed his head in despair, and the leader smiled contentedly.

So he turns, redirecting his weapon toward King, toward Kufa, the shadow warrior.

“Then came the next question. Where is the Real Serge Shicksal now?”

“He didn’t tell me. Perhaps even that was in the realm of his prediction.”

“… who are you? His confidant?”

“I’m just a knight for hire. No name.”

From the corners of his hooded mouth came the chilling smile of leader. Two of his men, armed with mechanical swords, came out from behind him. One of them holds his weapon above his head.

“I have told you… to tell the truth!”

“Whew! The sound of the weapon splitting the wind made the hostages turn face away.”

But then… The cracked tip of the sword was blown to the ceiling with the sound of hard metal. goo-hoo! a masked man fell backwards.

Kufa was covered in azure flame Mana. As a result, he can no longer be harmed with conventional weapons. The smell of Mana made the passengers look up again, and the pressure was so intense that the attacker gasped nervously.

Seeing his partner hit and fly, another masked man gritted his teeth in anger.

“You, you bastard!”

The Mechanical Sword slid in his palm, and the fierce steam filled the stage. But before that, the leader quickly raised one hand.

“Stop It. It’s a waste of Ambrosia.”

“But!”

“What a great spirit.”

He scoffed at Kufa’s profile face, not knowing whether calmly or not. Kufa squinted at him.

“I also have one thing to ask you: How do you manage our journey? So was Carldinals Academy District then, and so is now.”

The leader told his men to put down their mechanical swords and replied in a gentlemanly manner:

“You must have guessed by now? That’s right, I have let the traitor among you, you two step forward!”

Leader called to the hostage group. Then the two teenage girls, who rose reluctantly, raised Daby Mothers eyebrows in amazement.

“Lucille! Lyra! Are… are you… ?”

The Brown twins did not look to the Dabys side, but to the floor. The masked leader jumped lightly from the stage, and with a change of attitude, approached the girls with an air of intimacy.

“You’re the mole who contacted us, aren’t you? Thank you. The plan went off without a hitch. What do you want in return? Anything you want, just say it.”

“Don’t get me wrong!”

Then the twins lifted their heads and replied, as if to bite him:

“We only do it for our own convenience! Not to support you!”

“We’re just telling you when and which train we’ll take. Don’t think of us as companions!”

The leader swallowed his words back, but shrugged his shoulders as if he didn’t mind.

“Well, it’s probably a personal grudge against Serge Shicksal. Not surprising.”

「「……」」

The twins bit their lip, still unable to accept that their true nature was Daby.

“Im, impossible. Why… why you do such a stupid thing!”

“Mother doesnt need to know anything.”

“Yeah, yeah, you just sit tight and wait for them to release the hostages.”

「……!」

The leader looked over the division of the troupe as if enjoying a feast, and snickered under his mask. At this point, the door to the party room opens and three masked men discreetly return armed.

“Looks like we’re all set. Still, the two of the Duke’s family were nowhere to be seen.”

“No wonder, she’s Serge Shicksal’s sister.”

The leader snorted and took the Walkie-talkie from the other man.

He pressed the corners of his mouth against the rigid mechanism and looked around at the dead-looking hostages.

“In that case, let them show themselves.”

    † † †

『We inform you that Lady Salasha Shicksal and Lady Mule La Mor. All the equipment and passengers on this train! It’s all in our hands. It’s best to give up the resistance, for both of your sakes. 』

『From now on, allow me to negotiate the release of the hostages. First of all, before 16:00! Please return to the party room. Every ten minutes after 16:00, the number of hostages will be reduced.

Nor do I advise you to bear arms orif you’re confident enough to beat us. But please understand that in that situation, not just the two of you, but the hostages will die. 』

『Well, I hope you will make the wise judgment……────』

The sound from the car’s loudspeaker was heard all around, of course, by the four grils, who were stationed in the cargo room. As if to watch the sound of the Walkie-talkie break, Mule reaches out.

“Our advantage is that these guys don’t notice that Melida and Elise. Because of the clothes, they thought you were just servants and didn’t realize you were Mana capable ones. They must not have expected you two to launch a surprise attack from somewhere.”

Melida pushed forward defiantly, counteracting the forehead of the dark crystal girl with a bold smile.

“In other words, Mule wasn’t going to obey those guys at all?”

“Of course. After all, there’s no guarantee that the hostages will be released unharmed. And how could we, the four daughter of Duke’s family, bear to be looked down upon all the time, when we were all here!”

“I feel the same way. Let’s show them what we can do.”

“Hauu, you guys are really energetic.”

Even Elise had joined the resistance, and Salasha could only slouch her slender shoulders.

That said, she has no intention of giving in to enemies. The fiery soul of Shicksal, rests in her eyes, looking up firmly at the Sakura Dragoon of her friends.

“In this case, it was basically up to me and Mule-chan to create a diversion, and Melida and Elise to attack in other way let’s make a specific plan.”

Melida broke down the barrier, cautiously opening the door and peering into the passage. Confirming that the passage was clear, she turned to her friend in the room.

“Do you remember how many enemies there were?”

Each of the three men was deep in thought, and the one who came to them began to speak in turn. First up is Mule,

“The man posing as the conductor is the leader, isn’t he. And three waiters…”

“There are two cooks in white.”

“And seven flight attendants. Their unnatural increase, so I counted them.”

Elise, Salasha added, and Melida nodded heavily. Thirteen of them

“Everyone was probably using what sensei told us was a Ambrosia equipment. The guard were easily defeated… even if they weren’t mana capable ones, we students wouldn’t stand a chance.”

“There was a man.”

Salasha said, clearly, to keep everyone’s eyes on her. She repeated in more detail.

“There must be a mana capable ones in enemies. With the Ambrosia, there’s not much we can do… but if things go according to plan, he’s mine.”

Is the mind already in fight mode? The young Dragoon of the Shicksal family had fire in their eyes. Melida nodded back, but she put her finger to her chin and raised other concerns.

“But there are several advantages to the other side besides pure fighting ability. After all, sensei is probably in custody, and the hostages are a concern. So are the Sacred Crystal we collected… probably taken by those guys. Isn’t it a luxury to want to protect everything?”

“Though it depends on the outcome of the negotiation”

Salasha bowed her head for a moment, but then looked up as if she were staring into a mirage.

“A few things may have to be compromised. I’ll have to improvise on this one… though I’m afraid our campaign will involve the hostages.”

(Illu)

“That is that. Anyway, it’s not going to hurt them. There’s no way to make it more complicated.”

Mule retorted, and Salasha and Melida, with bitter looks, swallowed their unease. Four maids, including Amy and the rest, who worked at Melida’s mansion and was close to her like a family, were also arrested in the party room, so she was doubly afraid of endangering the hostages.

Peering into the passage from the side, Elise suddenly exclaimed, as if sensing something:

“Where does this train go?”

“Eh?”

Salasha and Mule also gathered at the door, and together they looked out the passageway window.

The train is currently circling a circle and following a slowly ascending route, but the bifurcation on the way moves to the next track, this time making a slow descent. That’s when the train found another moment to go up. Always feel to give a person a kind of avoid with other train collision, anddoes not stop driving impression.

If they do nothing, the train may never reach any station. Melida felt a chill run down her spine and shook her head vigorously.

“…… I forgot that the drivers all are the enemy’s men.”

“We can ignore them for now. They probably wouldn’t have left the locomotive anyway.”

Melida nodded in agreement and took the watch from the pocket of the housemaid’s coat. It was something Kufa had lent her when she was being specially trained as a servant. According to him, a first-rate servant can prepare dinner service for four people in five minutes. In order to achieve his unreasonable request, the four people here repeatedly fumble things, can now also be regarded as a trip down memory lane.

Melida snapped the lid shut and looked up.

“15:45… it’s time to move.”

The other three nodded firmly, though their faces were tense. First, Mule and Elise each went to the left and right sides of the passage. Melida then entrusted the watch to Salasha before parting with it.

“Take it. After all, it would be trouble to be late.”

The gold chains clattered into the palms of Salashas hands, and Melida bent the corners of her mouth fearlessly

“Give it back to me later. Because I’ll give it to sensei myself.”

The blonde was poised to turn back, and Salasha stopped her unconsciously.

“Me, Melida-san! ……may I ask you something?”

“Yes?”

“If Kufa-sensei had a big secret he couldn’t tell anyone, even to Melida… will you still trust him?”

“Yes, I trust him.”

Melida immediately replied, smiling like a lovely flower before being asked why.

“That’s what sensei said to me in the Luna Lumiere, when the whole academy was suspicious of me. “Even if the whole world doubts you, I will stand by my lady” , “so I hope my lady also believe me ” , as Salasha seems to have discovered, sensei seems to be carrying a lot of things. But he wouldn’t lean on me at all, so I was always anxious. But, the only thing I know for sure. Sensei suffer a lot, bear a lot of things, are for me …to such him, what can I return?”

Melida finally said something that sounded like a question or a Soliloquy, and this time she really turned and left. She joined her silver-haired cousin, shaking her frilly skirt as she moved away.

Salasha watched them leave with emotion, while her blackcrystal friend laid her hand gracefully on Salasha’s shoulder.

“Well, now we have an incredible relationship with them. It’s hard to say whether it’s full partnership or full hostility…”

“That’s true.”

“It may be difficult during the school year…… but it would be nice if one day, we four could form a small group and fight together.”

Salasha turned to look into her best friend’s dark eyes and smiled defiantly.

“That may be so invincible, no one would dare to stand against us.”

“Well said.”

They touched faces and laughed, then turned away.

An elegant party dress flutters in the wind as the two girl head toward the waiting battlefield

      † † †

At sixteen o’clock sharp at the appointed time

As soon as the door of the party room opened, all eyes were on the door. First, the hostage passenger suddenly raised their head, and the masked enemy, armed with mechanical sword, turns leisurely this way. At last the two figures on the stage, the chained Kufa and the leader of the assailants, raised their eyes.

Cherry blossom princess and Black Crystal leprechauns enter the party room under the watchful eye of dozens of spotlights. They were all dressed in elegant gowns, no weapons of any kind. The masked leader looked down at his watch and spoke it in a sort of mocking voice:

“How admirable, Lady Salasha. I thought you’d hesitate until the end”

“Please release all passengers.”

The pre-emptive words was ignored, and the leader twisted his lips under his mask.

“It’s up to you.”

He raised his chin and pointed to the stage with that gesture.

The hostages were gathered in the center of the room, with five or six masked men on either side, each armed with flying armor and mechanical sword. Salasha and Mule circled around them and made their way to the stage. All eyes are chasing the two ladys nohesitation stepsand noble swaying dress skirt.

Of course, the maskedleader noticed that two servants who had fled the meeting were nowhere to be found. But he dismissed their existence as “insignificant” and banished them from his consciousness. He saw little that could be done by trainee servants, as if nothing could be done, and no matter where they hid themselves, the result would be the same.

All the faces in the room followed the two daughters of dukes to the stage. Salasha and Mule peered to make sure everyone was facing away from the party room entrance, while on stage facing off against the exceptionally powerful leader of the enemy.

The hostage watched nervously, and saw the leader take out the treasure box with a lock. It’s what he took from Daby. The lock had been lifted, and he opened the lid to reveal the tricolour light.

“Three?”

The man’s lips were visible beneath the mask, a taunt of ostentatious derision. He looked down at Kufa on one side, and Kufa, shackled, leered at him. The leader again turned to the Duke’s daughter with a high-pitched voice that made one shudder.

“So, Lady Salasha. You have two options!”

He took the green stone from the jewel box and threw it at random. The green trajectory of the parabola is drawn into the palm of Salasha’s hand.

“A Sacred Crystal! The lives of ten hostages! You know what that means, don’t you? To free all the hostages, you must sacrifice all the stones. But with one less Sacred Crystal, Serge Shicksal will not be recognized as King… You must once again find the Sacred Crystal you have lost. Considering the time limit to find it before the coronation, how many stones are left! Sacrifice a few men! Just think it over before you decide.”

The leader took the dagger from his arms, which was kept in the scabbard, and threw it in the same way. Salasha caught the dagger in one hand, alternating between the blade in her right hand and the Everlasting Emerald in her left.

Seeing the passengers staring uneasily at each other, Kufa, tied up on the stage, thought. That’s why they let us collect Sacred Crystal.

Honestly, if we lose the Sacred Crystal even one, we won’t be able to replace it from now on. Be that as it may, leaving the hostages to die in defense of the King’s position would have sent the public’s faith in the Duke Shicksal into a tailspin. Either way, the King is doomed… after all, to expose his 13-year-old sister, Salasha, to this choice, the act itself was part of the enemy’s plan to discredit their brother and sister.

As if to prove Kufa’s speculation, the leaders lips framed a grim smile. The hostages peered up at the stage with gaunt, almost weeping eyes. Salasha closed her eyes for a few seconds, then opened them.

“I have a request. If you intend to honor our agreement, please release the hostages while I destroy the stone.”

“Of course we will honor our agreement. One stone is worth ten men. That cannot be compromised.”

“That’s enough.”

Salasha covered the leader’s words and set the Cherry Mana free from her body.

As if the atmosphere of the depressed atmosphere will be blown away the atmosphere, so that the passengers flying up the bangs. The toughness worthy of the knight-duke’s name, and the radiance that reflected the will without a trace of perplexity, forced the hand of the masked man who was not the leader to grasp the weapon.

“…..Sorry, Onii-sama.”

A confession that will not come to anyone’s ears, that will shake the air a little.

Slowly, Salasha threw the Everlasting Emerald over her head, then took the scabbard in left hand and drew dagger in right. As the green light flashed in front of her, she swung the blade horizontally with such force that it broke the stone in half with gooseflesh-inducing fluidity.

The masked leader raised his chin slightly, point to the center of the party room.

“You can appoint ten persons. They just can’t be allowed outside the venue.”

Salcha fingered several people at random from the group of passengers. Including the youngest girl and the girl’s family, as well as the people around a total of ten people. They fled from the masked men and clung to each other as if blown by the wind against the wall of the party room.

The masked leader turned back to Salasha.

“I see. It would be easy to replace just one stone. But if you lose two or more, it’s a different story, which means half the trip is back to zero. What are you going to do next? Lady Salasha.”

“Give me the Abyss Onyx.”

Seeing Salasha’s snap judgment, the leader apparently bent his lips into a hyphen. He took the dark stone from the jewel box and threw it rudely at Salasha.

Salasha didn’t even catch the stone first. She wielded her dagger with Mesmerizing Grace as the light of a shooting star flew this way. The silver blade was wielded without resistance, and dark particles were scattered in the air.

Without prompting from the leader, Salasha turned to the hostage group and picked ten at random. That makes it a smaller number of arrests. Though she did not realize it, the remaining hostages were ten, including Amy and the rest who worked at Melida’s mansion.

The attitude of the masked leader, who had been showing off his superiority, at last began to waver. Salasha did not waver. Her brother, Serge Shicksal, was clearly in a state of near despair at the time of the loss of most of Sacred Crystal.

“…… oh, I see. The fact that you’re looking for Sacred Crystal is a lie! You fakes have cheated the public by collecting stones and Serge Shicksal collected the Sacred Crystal himself! You know that, so you can feel as if nothing had happened.”

“Give me the Eternal Ruby.”

The leader was at last speechless. He could not help wondering who was in front of his eyes?

Is not the same weakness as before. The Noble Dragoon did not wait for an answer, but took her own steps, and after stopping in front of enemy whose height was so far apart that she had to look up, swung her short sword.

The blade swings straight down.

The jewel box was divided into two halves in the mask leader’s hands. Wrapped in a cloth, the Ruby Shatters and falls from its apex, crashing to the floor in tiny fragments.

Salasha slipped the dagger back into its Sheath, put her hands together, and turned her head toward the meeting.

“And the passengers will be free. I’ll negotiate with these men. Please return to your private rooms and wait for the train to arrive.”

“This isn’t over!! You all cant leaves the room!”

The leader immediately waved his arms and his men in masks raised their weapons to intimidate the surrounding area.

The mask leader twisted his lips and snatched the dagger from Salcha.

“…..Why! Why can you trust your brother like this? Has He said anything about his outlook? Don’t you ever wonder if you might have been deceived? Don’t you ever feel uneasy about your choices!”

Then it must be for the same reason you serve, Mr. Gibson Barley.

Not just the leader in front of him, but everyone in the mask gasped at the same time. The freed passengers looked at each other. <family name>, which means he’s a nobleman.

The leader has been silent several seconds, saw him simply to take off the mask. With long hair and thin face, at best, feeling full of knowledge, at worst, feeling very nervous man face revealed.

Salasha’s eyes met his own, and her brow furrowed slightly.

“Why did you do such a thing, as a branch family butler……is the behest of Kuchana’s?”

“…… no, it has nothing to do with lady Kuchana. It’s our hardliners thing.”

Answered Gibson with a more gentlemanly manner than when he was masked. Hearing his clear voice, Kufa, tied up beside him, sensed it, too. The leader of group who broke into the train as they set out from the Carldinals Academy District One of the people Kufa didn’t catch at the critical moment was him.

May sort of noticed it before. Salasha shook her head with an unacceptable expression on her face.

“Mr. Gibson, please don’t do this again… ! Many people’s life have been sacrificed, and now the sins are deepened like this… is it necessary to go to such lengths for the King Crown?”

“You don’t understand anything yet. I should have said that we had nothing to do with Lady Kuchana… and that by the time I decided to sacrifice myself for this mission, I had resigned as Shicksal’s butler and returned the family name. And then just burn it all to stop Serge Shicksal from being crowned. That’s the most important thing.”

When she looked back, she saw that all the masked men in the room were filled with the same solemn determination as Gibson. Take off that mask, there’s gonna be a lot of people Salasha knows. No restless childhood memories suddenly revive, emerald eyes ooze tears.

“Why do you all… go to such lengths to exclude brother Serge ?”

“I will send the name of Serge Shicksal to hell. No matter the sacrifice.”

When Gibson had said this seriously, he waved hand vigorously at his men.

“Kill the hostages! All of them!”

“Eh? Wait… wait a minute! It’s not like we agreed!”

“It’s all your fault, Lady Salasha. You should just be a weak-willed puppet.”

Gibson said, his mouth full of bravado, as he turned to the side and proceeded to talk.

“If only you’d lost your head! You should have done what your brother told you, given up the lives of passengers and chosen the stone. In this way, sacrifice can be suppressed to a minimum! But you have no qualms about putting the safety of your people first. It’s wonderful how well you’ve grown. It is a pity that you are not worthy of our present purpose.”

The masked man held aloft mechanical sword, spraying the vapors of Menglie. Thirty hostages wailed.

“Make them to be the basis. In a tragic attack in which more than 30 people were killed, the supposed presence of the King Serge Shicksal, use the shadow warrior as a shield and stay his mansion! Will the people accept him as King? A king sitting on a throne stained with blood? A king who holds up his Excalibur? Well, that’s a classic tragedy.”

“I won’t let you do it!”

“Don’t move!”

Gibson lifted the Mechanical Sword. The tip of the sword held Salasha’s nose in check. The skill of the Mana capable ones, the loyalty of butler must be far superior to that of Salasha.

“Save it. Even if you’re a Dragoon, you can’t stop us. Through the Ambrosia, we have power over the Knight Family! Nothing can stand in the way anymore!”

Kusu ──

There was a voice that sounded like it was mocking the men declaration.

The voice came from the daughter of another duke in a party dress behind Salasha. All eyes were on her, who seemed to burst into a smile like an elegant lady.

Gibson, his face contorted in displeasure, still held his sword aloft and asked:

“Anything wrong? Lady Mule?”

“Oh, do I upset you? Because it’s so funny.”

In the midst of Salasha’s shattered Sacred Crystal, Mule picked up the shards of the dark, shining lodging, and raised her lips.

“Just to get one of those shimmering stones, to say you’re ahead of our Knight Family… a bunch of grown-ups are so full of themselves, it’s really killing me. <That girl> has been working so hard, trying to overcome even more formidable obstacles on her own. Don’t you see it?”

“What are you saying?”

“It’s easy. I’ve come to cast a spell on you. A spell to wake you from dream.”

All the masked men’s hostility was focused on Mule. The hostage-passenger gave a puzzled look. Mule stepped up to the center of the stage like the leading actress. The excess of body movements is becoming more and more distinct, as if singing high-pitched sounds from every corner of the party room.

“Two of the three little pigs were outside the fence, and one was left at home. Six of each, the wolf watches from entryway and from the back door <Once Upon A Time!>”

It was hard for anyone but Salasha to grasp the meaning of the mystic text. At this moment

The opposite door of the party room was knocked open at the same time, two small figures in a low position quickly rushed in. Something was thrown from the figure’s hand as the masked men turned head to look behind.

“”Take this!””

With the lovely exhalation, the momentum of the air flying in the sky, is nothing special, filled with water in the small bottle. The vial depicts a parabola, straddling the head of the masked man, while the liquid in the vial is ejected by centrifugal force. The bottle crashed onto the stage and Gibson’s eyes widened in surprise as it splashed onto the tips of his shoes.

“These two girls are?”

It was probably something from the dining car, and it was a pair of maids in housemaids who scattered the little bottles of water on the floor. According to the mole twins, they were servants attached to the King. And, judging by their age and ineptitude, they are just ordinary trainees… but after tossing vials they fluidly pull out their swords and spears, from the slender body boom! And set the blaze out.

“Mana capable ones!”

The masked men reflexively activate the Mechanical Sword, and the sliding blade spurts out violent steam. Gibson tried to stop them by shouting, “Wait!” The voice, a beat late to catch up.

The water that flew off the attacker’s mask, weapon, and floor reacted violently with the crystals trapped in the cylinder just for a moment. The Ambrosia glows like it’s trying to burn eyes, vaporizing as it liquefy with a surplus of energy. The huge pressure overruns the pipeline in one breath, then in the blink of an eye exceeds the allowable amount, produces the crazing. Exploded as it opened up a series of cracks in its armor.

“Ga-ah!”

The chain’s pressure bounces back to the wearer, and the explosion of steam engulfs even the wail. The party room was ablaze with pure white flames, flying pieces of machinery and blown masked men. The passengers wailed with their hair in their arms. Gibson gritted his teeth in anger.

The cool voice of the young man came into his ears.

“The principle of Ambrosia equipment is that the energy produced must be used now, on the spot. There is no way to store energy or transmit it.”

“It’s Kufa in a King dress, chained up. But he slowly released the Mana, and with a little effort, it would shatter.

Kufa squinted derisively at the dumb Gibson.

“This is why water is such a Ambrosia weakness. Most devices can’t handle the intense heat, the constant Ambrosia of energy, and in the blink of an eye, it overpowers the output and explodes. That’s why the explosions in the study never stopped.”

“Guu!”

Gibson managed to resist the impulse to scold his careless subordinates.

There are seven people who are in a state of being unable to fight. Gibson immediately waved his arms to the remaining five masked men.

“Take Hostages! Lock them up now”

Before he finished, there was an explosive growl. The King figure, like a bow and arrow, jamps out from the stage to dress up a figure. While jumping over, it beats one person and kicks down the second person with fluent movements. With his bare hands, he crushes the mechanical sword which is forced to raise, delivering a triple thump, straight right, and roundhouse kick before the shards fall to the floor. Kufa kicked the enemy body that was blowing away in midair and, with a stunt like movement of his lower body, knocked them both down.

He patted his gown with some exaggeration and slowly stood up, passengers eyes focused on him.

“Mr. Kufa!”

Tears welled up in the eyes of Amy and the other three girls. Kufa smiled kindly at them and turned to the entrance of the party room.

“If only you could help make a little flaw I thought so, but it turned out to be more than expected.”

“Ehehe!”

The golden-haired and silver-haired angel came running with a proud face. Ojou-sama! The Housemaids emitted a cheer, and the conversation began to attract the attention of the passengers around.

“I….. I saw those girls’ faces… Those are the Angel Sisters, right? Said to be a first-year student at Librarian, and qualified for the labyrinth. It was in the paper!”

“By the way, it’s the four people in the photo from the Article! The young ladies of the Knight Family are gathered together!”

“…… why are they dressed as servant?”

“How can they be Mana capable ones…”

Lucille and Lyra, who had been traveling together, were dumbfounded. At the top of the stage, Gibson, who had been left, gnashed his teeth in anger.

“Damn………youuuuuuuuu!”

He raised mechanical sword high and aimed it at Salasha and Mule as a last resort. They freed the Mana at once, but they were unarmed. Melida and Elise, aware of the situation, waved their arms vigorously.

“Salasha!” “Mule!”

Spears and swords thrown from their hands into the hands of their friends. Later, the three weapons collided CLANG! and bite each other in the middle.

「「「……!!」」」

Gibson’s body also spurted Mana flames, creating exaggerated pressure at the point of intersection of blades. They make the space creak, while reflexively moving backward for a moment.

“You’d better give up now before it’s too late!”

It was Mule and Salasha who were brave enough to attack. They rushed out in different directions, approached the enemy as if they had been consulted, and lunged from both sides. Gibson wiggled his upper body with quick reflexes, but then his knees gave way.

“Goo!”

Unstable and fell, he took protective fall, roll to the rear. Slow as he looked, Mule and Salasha immediately chased him as he jumped.

The clash between the weapon and the Mana, the sound of flying metal and the flickering light. Passengers staring at thelights show and Kufa mumbled to himself.

“That is the more serious weakness of the Ambrosia… in order to withstand the high pressure, the device had to be massive and weighed down. The device that won’t start is just an ordinary heavy object.”

As the Mana capable ones, Gibson is certainly one step ahead of them, but he’s in pretty bad shape. The flight armor at the waist became a chain around the lower half of the body, and it was too heavy to use a mechanical sword that concealed a complex structure. The fingertip that seems to be fretful stretches to waist, try to untie the fetter of flying armor, that big flaw lets black crystal Goblin eye a bright.

“He-ya”!

As Mule stomped so hard that the floor shook, she swept her sword across with all her might. A heavy blade strikes the man in the flank with a devastating force worthy of the name Diabolos. The flight armor was easily crushed, and a low crackle of metal wafted away as it bounced.

“Goo!”

Gibson managed to catch the attack with his left hand, but even that hurt him. The flattened pipe was punctured at the waist, the fracture was accompanied by bleeding, and the left elbow that caught the blade was twisted into a strange shape. Not long after the severe injury to the left side of his body, a sharp pain shot through his right hand.

“This is over!”

Salasha glide closer. Gibson couldn’t even react to a blow that swept vertically across his right hand. The Mechanical Sword fell from the paralyzed palm and struck Gibson’s body in a fluid chase. The spear was so swift that it exceeded his reflexes in an instant, very suitable for the name of Dragoon!

From the right leg to the opposite flank, aim for the chest lunge followed by a triple punch to the shoulders. With a flourish that seemed like a dance, Salasha swept the side of his enemy’s head, which was already shaking feebly.

Gibson’s slender frame finally crashed to the stage. Salasha swung her spear as hard as she could and turned to look at the room. The cherry-colored flames spread from the tips of spear.

“Everybody!”

All masked men fell to the floor, and still there was a look of uneasiness on peoples faces as they looked up. Salasha hoists her breath, reminding himself to put on a friendly smile.

“It’s… safe now!”

Thirty passengers were silent just for a moment.

“”Salcha-sama!””

A burst of cheers filled the party room. The women hugged each other and were glad to get out safely, while the male businessmen flicked champagne corks. Then a lot of people rushed to the stage.

“Salasha-sama! Oh no, Sala-sama!”

At the head of the queue, screaming in support, was Daby Mother, who had undergone a 180 degrees attitude change. With a smirk on her face, Mule approached her best friend’s back and shoved her in front of the audience.

“How about? Keep that in mind. My Sarah is the most handsome Dragoon in the world!”

“Come, come on, Mule-chan!”

“Ladies, that was quite a performance.”

A deep voice came from behind, and the throng of people gathered in front of the stage quickly parted. The dark-haired young man in the evening dress approached, accompanied by two maids. Salasha and Mule ran down the stairs, following the momentum and hugging each other.

A man, dressed as a businessman, leant forward from among the passengers toward Kufa.

“Let me ask you something, King is shadow warrior. What is it about?”

“As you can see, it was expected that some thieves would try to harm the king during the tour, so several security measures were adopted. For details, please wait for a statement from Duke Shicksal.”

“Well, I wonder where and what does the real Shicksal do now.”

The man murmured, uninterested, and left the party. The women who had spoken so highly of King at the party was blushing in embarrassment.

Salasha let go of her embrace with Melida and suddenly her brows drooped in a face of sadness.

“Ah, but everybody…… and Kufa, too. I’m sorry.”

She picked up the shiny bits that had rolled at her feet. Green, inky black and red gemstone… These all without exception ground into fragments, original existence feeling is beyond recognition.

“I don’t know how to apologize to my brother… for the loss of the Sacred Crystal.”

“For this thing, ladies ──”

Kufa was careful to interrupt. But before that, a gentle voice cut in.

“……Lady Salasha, and everyone, although it’s a little hard to say…”

It’s Daby Mother writhing in obsequious. He gingerly handed over the bundle hidden behind him, revealing the contents of several layers of cloth.

What appears is a tri-colour stones that glows from the inside. Each stone is about the size of the palm and is perfect for both the smoothness of the cross-section and the lines at the corners. Four girls eyes widened in surprise.

“”SACRED CRYSTALS!””

“How are they here… ?”

“Is it true that what was taken by the enemy was a fake… but Daby Mother, why did you replace the contents of the jewel box with fakes?”

“Eh? This is, uh…”

After a while, Daby’s shoulders drooped like he was dropping from exhaustion, under the watchful eye that seemed to see everything.

“…and, frankly, from the moment I heard the King were imposters, I had a feeling this tour would fail. But even if it’s a castoff, for us, it’s about my family. So I thought, if it’s not going to be fun, I should just make it happen!”

It was as if he had thrown it all away, and the shining Daby seemed to spread his hands wide as if he were on stage.

“Surely the real gems will be given to Serge-sama, and wouldn’t it be a small drama to have a fake King take them? In this way, the honor of King Serge can be preserved, and there will be a great reversal in the end. I think it can be turned into a perfect drama!”

“This is outrageous!”

Melida was more excited than ever, and Daby looked away in embarrassment.

“I see. I was really wrong. After all, it was so inspired at the climax of the play that I decided to take a chance on you, too.”

He said mysteriously, taking another bundle from the back of waist. Although mixed in his ornate decoration, but the inside of the cloth also leaks out like an angel drops of light.

“That is?”

Ladies frowned, and Kufa, who had accepted it without any confusion, immediately realized what it was.

“Did I say that on the way? In our destination, the owner of the Sacred Crystal was attacked in succession. In one mansion, the Sacred Crystal was suddenly stolen during our stay, as one of the Sacred Crystal was always close at hand.”

He covered the end of words and took down the cloth. The liberated Pale blue light shines out of the girls beauty.

“Could this jewel is!”

“<Noble Sapphire >?”

Wrapped in cloth was a Pale Sacred Crystal of the same noble radiance as the other Sacred Crystal.

Salasha tried to say something, but nothing came of it, and she looked up reflexively in Kufa’s face. The emerald eye pupil oozes tears, the limpid missing reveals.

“That’s four!”

Kufa responded with a smile, and Mule looked up disapprovingly at his charismatic expression.

“So that’s what sensei thought… and kept it a secret from me.”

“I’m so sorry for worrying ladies. If possible, I would like Mr. Daby to give it to me voluntarily after he agrees with me.”

Kufa turned to the flamboyant man with the same height as himself and asked boldly:

“Do you approve me?”

“Who knows?”

Daby smiled back, as if to deflect attention, and then turned away.

He walked up to the brown twins sitting on the floor. Although the passengers did not take their matter to heart, but all the masked men down, they seem to feel uneasy. “You guys” said Daby, raising their heads.

Feel some haggard cheek, ring out Pop! the cold sound

Back and forth, pop! Daby frowned sternly after the slaps.

“And Imma ask you, explain to me why you did this stupid thing.”

Lucille and Lyra bit their lips and bowed their heads again.

As Kufa captured their conversation in the corner of field of vision, he was also mystified. Why the twins are helping Shicksal’s branch family hit squad. Did they have a personal vendetta against Shicksal, as Gibson said? Or… ?

Just then, a cacophony of laughter rang through the Party Room.

“Ahha ha ha ha! Nice! It’s like a road show reunion, you all!”

It was Gibson Barley, slumped on the stage in huge letters. He was so hurt that he couldn’t even stand up. He just lay on the ground, shouting like a braggart, ruining the relaxed atmosphere of the passengers.

“But it was too late. By the time we got on this train, the end of the parade had already been decided, Lady Salasha!”

“…… What does that mean, Mr. Gibson?”

“Where do you think this train is going?”

Asked the emaciated man. The four girls looked at each other.

Without waiting for an answer, Gibson took a deep breath and shouted.

“Before Lady Salasha chooses hostages! When we’re down! The plan has already moved to the final stage. The men waiting outside should have taken action…! Rest assured, you are not going anywhere. There’s a bomb in front of this track!”

The passengers were in an uproar. No one dared to take it as a joke this time.

The train was now moving at near-top speed. Regular vibrations reverberate through the car.

“We had it all figured out, even if it didn’t work out! Serge Shicksal’s position will plummet! He would be a bloody king who use the shadow warrior, and abandon his sister, the innocent people… ahahahahah!”

Kufa stomped on Gibson’s heart so hard that he fainted from the pain. He didn’t even look at Gibson, who was rolling his eyes, and immediately turned and ran out of the party room.

“Sensei!”

“All passengers, please stay here!”

Kufa shouted in a sharp voice as he made his way to the first class aisle. A few beats later, the blonde students catch up.

Even the time it took to get the weapon was a pity. Kufa sped down the aisle to the front of the train. He kicked open the connecting doors and headed for second and third class.

Seeing the hard door of the locomotive in front of him, Kufa didn’t slow down at all and gave it a forward kick. Boom! The heavy sound hardly diffused and was sucked into the wall.

The door did not budge. Although it was made of heavy iron, it could withstand the attack of the Mana capable ones. This was no small matter. Kufa turned the grip and steadied himself. As the door swung slightly, a distinct clatter of meat clung to the eardrum.

Melida catching up.she put hands on her knees and gasped:

“Sen, sensei the door won’t open?”

“Yes, something must have jammed the door from the other side.”

“What does that mean?”

“Probably a human corpse.”

For a moment, Melida, her head lifted, could not speak. The stench of death rises from behind closed steel doors.

“By the looks of it, the man who was driving the train must not be alive either. It seems they’ve been willing to give up their lives from the start.”

“How could… even go so far as to…”

“My lady, please turn back, I go from the roof…”

As Kufa said this, he put his foot on the frame and leaned out of the window. A shot from the front went through Kufa’s right shoulder.

“Sensei!”

Kufa, who had been blasted against the wall, immediately grabbed Melida and fell to the floor. Then a barrage of bullets hit the area, blasting windows and passageways.

“Sen, sensei! You’re hurt!”

“I’m on the defense, no problem. But it’s going to be hard…”

Kufa covers himself and Melida with a strong Mana, while taking a peek out of the window.

Black Bats in flight armour have been seen flying around locomotives and repeatedly firing menacing shots at windows. It looks like they’re determined not to stop the train, no matter what. There were seven of them. It’s not that they can’t break through, but judging by the martyrdom of Gibson and others, these guys wouldn’t hesitate to blow themselves up. If they get knocked out of a moving train, they will dead.

“Ku…..!”

Not Aiming at anything, not considering the number of bullets fired, the walls of the tunnel cratered, and did not stop for a moment. Dedicated entirely to stopping Kufa. Does that mean it doesn’t matter what happens to them once the train blows up?

How? Kufa hugged Melida harder and hesitated. Melida’s defenses aren’t strong enough to hold Ambrosia bullet. But they can’t just sit on the sidelines

And then… There was an explosion outside the window and the shooting stopped for a moment. Kufa looked up reflexively and saw it. A black bat is surrounded by flames as it falls.

Then the second man, then the third man. The flying armor of the Black Bat burst in quick succession, spiraling and falling to the ground thousands of meters below. Kufa’s extraordinary vision captured the trajectory of a bullet that shot right through their equipment as it flitted through the air and into the night sky.

Before the two had time to gape, the loudspeakers in the aisle make noise.

『Ah… ah… ah…. Can you hear me, Vanpir-kun? The frequency should be right… but unfortunately there’s no way to confirm it on my side. 』

“Duke Shicksal?”

『If you have the strength, look over the track about two-cars away. I’ll be there. 』

Melida looked up from Kufa’s arm and saw, too.

A dark green train was going a little faster than the one on this side and was traveling side by side. Kufa found the young Duke leaning against the window frame, while Melida found a petite figure lying prone on the roof of the car, with her body pressed against the roof.

As if he could see the situation here with a thousand mile eyes, and the Duke’s laughter rang out.

『You guard Her Highness as you do now, and then I will see what I can do. 』

As he finished, the figure on the roof of the car manipulated the handle of the gun.

It was a teenage girl with a sniper rifle that was longer than she was tall. Probably about the same age as Melida. The empty golden cartridge was ejected, and the girl peeped at the sight with her eyes, which did not permit any feeling to be seen.

She shot exactly one second later. A cannon-like blast! A sound shakes the air, and a bullet at the speed of sound easily penetrates a black bat. A black bat splashes the iron piece and the blood grandly, and go to the hell.

The girl pulled the handle and loaded the next bullet. Shoot, reload, shootshe shoots down high-speed black bats with smooth precision. Melida couldn’t take eyes off her for a moment, so she mumbled to herself.

“Amazing……”

『How about, Vanpir-kun? My <Police dog > is amazing, isn’t it?』

(Illu)

The last of the seventh man burst into flames in mid-air, with the sound of some pride from Shicksal. Kufa immediately stood up and put his foot on the window frame.

“Duke Shicksal! There is a ──!”

『It’s dangerous. sit down. It’s okay. I’ve noticed something strange set up in front of the track.』

The sniper on the roof of car let her hair waver with the strong wind, while moving the muzzle by a large margin. She aimed further ahead in the direction of the parallel vehicle, squinting her single eye and fire.

The bullet was fired with an even more sacred bang, easily overtaking the train and flying straight ahead. The bullet penetrates the switch at the intersection of the tracks with a precision of a few millimetres, rattling the plural tracks like a cog in a wheel.

The sound of the Shicksal blared through the car from the loudspeaker.

『It’s going to shake! Everybody, hold on! 』

Before hearing this, Kufa put his arms around Melida’s head and leaned against the wall. As Melida gripped Kufa firmly, a tremendous, side by side punch slammed into the train.

“Kyaaa!”

The wheels wailed, and a startling spark burst on the outside of glass window. Kufa held Melida’s slender body for a few seconds, then barely made it past the train to regain stability.

Then not long after the train had advanced a few hundred metres as if nothing had happened.

The track next door, which is below, exploded.

The explosive flame rises from the bottom and the shock wave shatters the metal skeleton. A moment later, the train was carrying Kufa and others. Though the window frames rattled and trembled, there was no broken glass or anything like that.

“Awawawawa……! Dan, dangerous…….”

That being said, the tragedy below is hard to believe. Melida clung to the window and groaned.

Like the Glasmond Palace and Bibliagoth of the St.Frideswide Ladys Academy, the numerous elevated tracks that Dot Flandre’s environs are a valuable heritage of ancient construction. Some of it was hollowed out whole, and flames flared from the raised tracks. It’s hard to think about the historical losses and the economic impact.

That said, but from the perspective of the general public, it seems to be for this spectacular spectacle and unrestrained hero fascinated. The passengers who ran out of the party room leaned out the window and emitted ahoopla. In the opposite carriage, Duke Shicksal waved gracefully.

“Serge-sama~~~~~! Serge-sama is awesome~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~!”

Daby Mother’s shrill voice even echoed back to the locomotive. When the excitement of the passengers had cooled, Shicksal put walkie-talkie to his lips.

『Vanpir-kun, Salasha, and passengers. I’m sorry I got you into this mess. Let’s just meet up in Holy King District. Well, I’ll see you around. 』

Click walkie-talkie off. Melida looked up, feeling a strong stare through the window.

“That girl….”

Looking back, the sniper on the train stood up on the roof, looking at this side with the eyes that seem to run through person. Her blank gaze intersected Melida’s.

Just for a few seconds. The young girl turned away suddenly and disappeared into the car.

Kufa sighed as well, letting go of Melida.

“My lady, I’m going to break the door down with a little more force, so please stand back…… or rather, lady can go back to the party room, no problem. Thanks to the arrival of Serge Shicksal, all seems to have been settled. Ah, that’s wonderful.”

“Sen, sensei? You don’t look happy… ?”

“No, it can’t be. That guy came in at the last minute, ready to reap the harvest I don’t think so, hm.”

“Sensei…..”

Melida, who seemed to grasp her skirt anxiously, suddenly and desperately pushed forward.

“I… I know it’s sensei who are more active! After all, I observed sensei’s handsome appearance in the closest place!”

“Thank you…..”

Kufa, aware that his younger students were worried about him, released the Mana flame with a look of great complexity.

Thus accumulated the storm train sounded the high whistle, heading for the capital of heaven
