Prologue – Confession
Maybe I should consider myself lucky……
If this had not happened, I feared that I would have been one of the millions of people living a mediocre day-to-day life in the crowded city streets.
I do not know whether I changed my destiny or the destiny found me.
The story of my life saw a twist on my 18th birthday.
From that day my destiny changed.

My name is Chen Xiao, because my father’s surname is Chen, and my mother’s surname is Xiao. When I was born, the fortune teller said that my body had a deficiency of water element out of the five elements, so my name should be changed from Xiao to Xiaosa (confident and at ease) from Xiao (desolate).
My birthday comes on May 5. So, I have a childhood nickname.
My family and friends like to call me “Xiao Wu”
(TL: Wu means 5)
On the 5th May of this year, my fate completely changed…..
