After buying some food, I walked around the festival with Alice while eating. I purchased small fish skewers, and they tasted like sweetfish with just the right amount of saltiness, making them very delicious. [If I were to explain it in a very simple way, I guess it’s like a mikoshi or a lion dance. A large dragon model is carried through the streets by a large number of people. The Hydra Kingdom historically originated from several nations that came together to form a single country. On the day of Hydra Kingdom’s Founding Festival, there used to be a festival that originally extolled sea dragons, and due to this tradition, the Sea Dragon Parade became a part of the Founding Festival.]

Come to think of it, I remember reading in a book that Hydra Kingdom was formed when several nations that had been badly affected by the invasion of the Demon Lord joined forces to create a coalition army.

After the Demon Lord was defeated by the First Hero, the damage they received was still quite significant, and continuing to exist as several small nations proved to be unsustainable, so after several discussions, they had decided that Laguna-san would become their King, and the various nations unified to form one country, becoming Hydra Kingdom.

……Incidentally, Laguna-san was initially just on the throne because she was well known as a member of the Hero Party, as due to the chaotic circumstances and the need for someone with influence and recognition, and the initial plan was that she would abdicate once the country was stabilized…… Laguna-san herself complained about this in frustration.

[I do believe the basis of that story is most likely Eingana-san. In the past, there weren’t as many Teleportation Gates scattered around as there are now, but there were still methods to travel between Demon Realm and Human Realm. Also, this is extremely rare, but there are times when, due to distortions in time and space, Humans have wandered into the Demon Realm, or Demons have wandered into the Human Realm. At those times, I…… or rather, the Phantasmal King camp was protecting and sending the target individuals back. Perhaps, during those times, upon seeing Eingana-san, they thought that there was a Dragon God in the sea…… There’s no Dragon of her size in the Human Realm after all.]

She’s an enormous Sea Dragon, 1 km in length, so if she appears out of the sea, it would be quite the sight to behold. It wouldn’t be surprising if one were to think that a God exists in the sea if one sees a being such as her.

[That Sea Dragon has become so famous here in Hydra Kingdom, yet the real Sea God…… God of Ocean isn’t so well-known. Well, she has always been someone who doesn’t stand out……]

[God of Ocean? Now that you mentioned it, I’ve met the God of Sky, Sky-san, and God of Earth, Gaia-san, but I haven’t met the God governing the seas.]

This is just my own impression, but I have this impression that the land, sea and sky were like a set of three, so now that she mentioned it, I couldn’t help wondering about it now.
