"Is there a church outside the city in Peria?"
Hale Medium and the cavalry from the Glugalia country.
After joining them, the Barca Mercenaries have once again resumed their operations.
When I was exchanging information with Hale, who was riding alongside the Valkyrie, I was asked such a question.
“Yes, it's a city in Peria, but there's no proper land to build a church in it, so I decided to build it outside the city. It was out of the city, but it wasn't too bad for the location.”
I see. The Peria people were able to attack the church as expected.
"Hmm? Oh, that's right. The followers of the Vulcan religion cannot be attacked in the city by ritual. It's outside the city, so you can act without being constrained."
Hmm. It's horrible.
Hale nods when he hears me.
I'm sure you feel the difference with the Glugalia country.
The Pelian kingdom is the same as Glugalia in that it has built a Barca church and sent mercenaries there.
If so, then the question arises as to why it became a church raid.
The first Glugalia to host the Barca church is because of the church buildings in the city.
If we try to attack it, the rituals in the Barca church will restrict our actions.
After all, as a major principle, there is a constraint that says, "Don't kill, don't steal, don't hurt."
Those constraints should make security considerably better in the city.
It's only natural that you can't use violence on your own.
However, it is only a constraint throughout the city.
One step beyond the walls and out of the city, you'll be free from those constraints and be able to act violently.
When it came to the question of why we were making it such a condition, it was that we could defend ourselves.
There are quite a few people in small countries who can use magic, but that doesn't mean everyone is in the Barca Church and undergoing rituals.
In the city, many people perform rituals, maintain security, and on the contrary, those who do evil are seen as heretics.
And there are soldiers who have been allowed to exercise their power throughout the city so that they can maintain law and order, so you can rest assured.
But when you leave the city and go outside, there is a vast expanse of land.
It is impossible for the soldiers of each country to keep watch and maintain security at all times.
And when they were attacked outside by the non-believers, the great principle was not applied, that they might resist.
