Well, here we are at the end of In Another World With My Smartphone volume 19. I hope you liked it. The showdown with the wicked god finally concluded in this volume. It took quite a while, huh? There’s a lot I want to say, honestly. I’m just not sure how to put it. From the start, I had this idea in mind that the final fight needed to involve everyone who’d helped the heroes along the way. I wanted to mix the smartphone into the message, conveying the idea that being connected to each other through them can make the world a better place. Thus, the title, In Another World With My Smartphone, would have come full circle by having Touya connect the other world with his smartphones. I’m pretty happy that my original intentions came through in this part. Hm? I know I said ‘final fight’ just now, so you might be confused. I mentioned this in the last volume, but this isn’t the end of the series. Thankfully, I can continue it. After this, we’ll see how the two worlds continue to adjust to their new merge, we’ll see Touya’s wedding, and the honeymoon. Stuff like that. I hope you stick with us through all that. Now then... This volume also has a special edition release in Japan. Hopefully people enjoy the Drama CD that it comes with.
The first drama CD we released was incredibly popular. We even had to issue a reprint. And thanks to that, we got to make a second one. I’m really glad it was so well-received. It’s already been two years since the anime ended, so it’s nice to hear Touya and the others speaking again. One thing that really excites me about the new CD is that the last three heroines are finally voiced! They only appeared in one wordless scene during the anime’s run, so I’m very happy to hear them all together. For this volume, I wanted to consider the story pacing, so I didn’t really make any rewrites and I didn’t add any original content. In all honesty, I haven’t had a whole lot of free time, either. I’ve been working hard on my new series! That’s right, In A Virtual World With My Bunny Scarf volume 1 should be releasing in Japan at the same time as this volume. I like to word my titles in a way that makes them identifiable at a glance, so I tend to use “In X with my Y” as the general style. My other book is a funny little story about a game world, as well as the players in the real world. If you ever get a chance to check it out, I hope you enjoy it.
