Walking up to the guy, Guo Shi’er kicked him in the face and stomped on his arm, cracking it and then stepping off. The Fu dagger the man was holding slipped out of his cuff and he looked at Guo Shi’er in despair. He originally wanted to sneak attack him, but it was completely nullified by the kick.

Guo Shi’er picked up the Fu dagger without hesitation and stabbed at the guy’s other intact arm. He coldly asked, “How many people have you arrested?”

The man was dumbstruck, he could never have imagined that the child in front of him would be so vicious and cunning. The knife had completely shattered his hopes and now all his limbs were useless. He was already dying, unable to resist at all. He said, “Kill me, and the family will come to avenge me!”

Guo Shi’er was also filled with resentment and said faintly, “Oh, kill you? I’m not going to kill you! I’m going to make you feel worse than death… do you believe me?”

The sky was completely dark. Guo Shi’er activated the Spiritual Eye Talisman and could clearly see the man’s distorted face and vicious look.

Fearing that Master Luo Jie had been captured, Guo Shi’er was especially ruthless. He knew he didn’t have much time, the fallen hunting vehicles had ignited into flames, and soon, other hunting vehicles would come seeking their tracks.

The man was so scared that he was shivering. This was too vicious and it would be hard for him to die even if he wanted to. He finally gave in and said, “Go ahead and ask, as long as I know… all that I know… ask me… and let me go!”

Guo Shi’er asked, “How many people have you arrested?”

The man said, “We didn’t catch a single one of them!”

Guo Shi’er didn’t believe it. “Not even one was caught? So… must have found someone?”

The man said, “We indeed spotted two people, to very powerful experts, but they escaped…”

Guo Shi’er grew nervous and asked, “How many days has it been since you found them…?” It was important for him. As long as it had been more than three days, Master Luo Jie would be able to escape.

The man said, “It was about ten days ago.”

Guo Shi’er was suddenly relieved as he stabbed the man in the chest and said, “I’ll send you on your way!” He didn’t have time to pursue any further.

The bright light of the hunting vehicles slicing through the night could be seen in the distance.

Quickly activating the flying talisman, Guo Shi’er disappeared into the night sky.

In less than twenty minutes, more than a dozen hunting vehicles whistled and stopped over the two burning hunting vehicles. Three of the vehicles lowered down while the others spread out, forming a defensive posture and circling around the burning hunting vehicles.

More than a dozen people descended from the hunting vehicles. The elder who had searched the woods for traces of Guo Shi’er’s was among them and he watched the scene carefully. The hunting vehicles in the sky shot out a light that illuminated the ground.

The old man frowned, carefully examining the corpses on the ground and the broken hunting vehicle. A long while later, he sighed and said, “We have underestimated him! That child at least has the strength of an Advanced Rune Grandmaster… Pass the order down, no vehicles are allowed to approach him. If you find that child, report it immediately. We have to send experts to deal with him, the low and mid-level disciples… can’t beat him.”

At that moment, dozens more hunting vehicles flew in. Someone reported, “Elder, the supporting hunting vehicles have arrived.”

The old man nodded and said, “Don’t chase him at night. That child is very dangerous, and at night… even if we catch up to him, our losses will be big. When Guo Shi’er looked back, there wasn’t a trace of light in the dark sky. He knew that the Dark Winged Demonic Scorpion’s overnight rush had increased his chances of escaping by a few points. This was because if he survived the three days, he could open the Talisman Gate and return to the Chenxiao Sect, at that point, he would truly be free of danger.

Guo Shi’er thanked Lan Tembo from the bottom of his heart. If it wasn’t for this Ancient Insect Talisman she gave him, he might not have been able to escape the tracking last night. Without this Dark Winged Demonic Scorpion with an ugly appearance and amazing strength, a mutant centipede would have stalked him and thus allow the Fu Ye Family to take advantage of the opportunity to catch up.

Thanks to the use of the Dark Winged Demonic Scorpion to travel, Guo Shi’er was able to leave the Fu Ye far behind, but he knew in his heart that if the front was still desert, then the hunting vehicles would catch up. The key was that he had to open the Talisman Gate before the hunting vehicles caught up with him. He absolutely couldn’t let them catch up during this time. 

He estimated that the Dark Winged Demonic Scorpion could run about 50 to 60 kilometers per hour, and if it sprinted, it could go a little faster.

Guo Shi’er thought to himself that it would be great if he could make the Dark Winged Demonic Scorpion even faster. At this moment, the Dark Winged Demonic Scorpion’s thick tail, which was raised up high, lightly touched Guo Shi’er’s back, startling him. He crawled forward a little but the scorpion’s tail touched his back lightly again. Guo Shi’er suddenly realized that the Dark Winged Demonic Scorpion seemed to want him to crawl over to its head.

There was a small flat area on the head of the Dark Winged Demonic Scorpion, which Guo Shi’er crawled to and sat cross-legged, reaching out to grab a scorpion stinger and looked back. Guo Shi’er looked around speechlessly, the desert was still an empty place, full of gravel, sand, and a thin mist that made it look even more desolate.

Guo Shi’er didn’t know yet that the Fu Ye had already freaked out, mobilized more than six hundred hunting vehicles, and several hundred more were rapidly catching up. They set out before dawn and chased after him like mad.

One chased and the other fled. Guo Shi’er used the Dark Winged Demonic Scorpion to increase the distance between the two sides, so he was now able to fly forward more at ease.

The speed of the hunting vehicles was fast, and the distance between the two sides had been greatly reduced by noon. The people of the Fu Ye Family were surprised that so far, there were no signs of Guo Shi’er. The old man who was tracking Guo Shi’er was sitting in one of the hunting vehicles, constantly giving out orders.

The old man frowned and wondered why he hadn’t seen Guo Shi’er yet. With Guo Shi’er’s speed, he thought he should have found his trail in the morning, but it was almost noon and he still hadn’t seen the small figure. He was very puzzled and at the same time very impressed. This child was really not simple, he couldn’t be taken lightly.

On the horizon, the traces of the hunting vehicles were so clear that Guo Shi’er couldn’t even count how many hunting vehicles were coming after him, but could still estimate them to be at least a few hundred vehicles at a glance.
