Evolution
There were 15 bottles of rice wine.  There were 25 people.

The bottle of wine to person ratio wasn’t one to one, so at most, one person was able to have only 3 cups.

After the cups of alcohol was emptied, everyone started cleaning up.  They had enough alcohol in them, so many people had red faces.  However, none of them were shaky on their feet.

If one was unsteady on one’s feet, one might get into a big accident.  This was why everyone controlled their alcohol consumption.  Also, there weren’t enough alcohol.  When Lee-joonhyuk tried to put on the empty backpack, deputy head Jang waved his hand at him.

“The event personnel can carry the empty bags.”

The bags weren’t heavy anymore.  He wasn’t require to carry it, so Lee-joonhyuk nodded his head.

“I understand.”

The party started to descend. Lee-joonhyuk walked in the back in case of an accident happening.  He went down as he carefully watched for people with shaky feet.

“Kyaaaahhk!”

While they were descending the mountain, everyone stopped in surprise when they heard a scream.  Also, the voice was familiar.

“Director?”

Before deputy head Jang could express his query, Lee-joonhyuk was already running.  He ran down the mountain.  It was a very dangerous thing to do, but Lee-joonhyuk didn’t hesitate.

If something happened, he could surround himself with his barrier.  Maybe it was because he had trained as Atlan had told him to, but he was able to control his muscles.  It wasn’t so hard to run down the mountain.

Moreover, as he ran down the mountain, his sense of balance awakened and his reflexes sharpened.  He heard people yelling after him from behind, but he ignored them.  As he ran, the urgency inside his heart increased.

He didn’t have a special relationship with Kim-oonsuh.  However, when he heard her scream, the first thought that came to his mind was that he had to save her.  This was why Lee-joonhyuk was running towards the sound he heard, but he didn’t hear any noise  after the first one.

At the thought of her being already badly injured, Lee-joonhyuk increased his speed.  He ran for almost 3 minute.  He ran down as if he was flying.  For someone else other than Lee-joonhyuk, it would take 20 minutes to walk down, but he ran the whole distance in a breath.

This was when he able to see Kim-oonsuh.  Kim-oonsuh was standing there nervously, and she was still very far off.  Even if Lee-joonhyuk ran towards her, it would take at least 30 seconds for him.

The problem was there was a wild boar only 3 meters away from Kim-oonsuh.  It was letting out a harsh snort.  When the wild boar saw him, Lee-joonhyuk increased his speed again.

As if she heard the sound of Lee-joonhyuk descending, Kim-oonsuh turned her head.  Lee-joonhyuk yelled the moment their eyes met.

“Dodge it!”

The wild boar had its eyes on Kim-oonsuh, and the moment she turned her gaze it charged towards her.

Queeeeeeehk!

Kim-oonsuh turned her head when the wild boar let out a cry.  She wanted to dodge the charging boar, but her body had frozen in place.

Puk!

“Kyahhhk!”

After letting out a short scream, Kim-oonsuh was flung outside the trail as she fell into the valley.  Lee-joonhyuk didn’t even look at the wild boar as he approached the the cliff.

Even if it was Lee-joonhyuk, he couldn’t jump off a cliff.  Despite this fact, he jumped off the cliff any ways.  At this sight, the wild boar didn’t charge him.

Lee-joonhyuk had a 10 seconds period of absolute safety.  He didn’t need to worry since he had the barrier, but once he did jump off the cliff, he still felt anxious.

Lee-joonhyuk looked for Kim-oonsuh, who had fallen earlier.  If they fell like this, her form would become unrecognizable.  Lee-joonhyuk reached out his hand towards her, and he closed his eyes.  He was trying something he had never succeeded before.
However, at that moment, he really wanted to do it.  He wanted the barrier not only around him, but also around her.

The barrier formed around his body.  Even though he wished for it, the barrier didn’t form around her.

Lee-joonhyuk gritted his teeth , but the distance between them wouldn’t decrease.  Then he saw Kim-oonsuh, who had fallen first, hit a tree, then she bounced off it.

When she bounced off the tree, Kim-oonsuh’s speed decreased.  Lee-joonhyuk stepped on the side of the cliff.  The moment he stepped on the cliff’s surface, Lee-joonhyuk’s leg expanded as if it would explode. (TLN: I think it’s like One Piece Luffy’s leg when it contracts/gets big, and he gets a burst of speed. I’m guessing his control over his muscles allow him to do this)

Tuh-ung!

Accompanying a raucous sound, Lee-joonhyuk accelerated.  The distance between Kim-oonsuh had decreased, but they were already very close to the floor.  Lee-joonhyuk gritted his teeth.

If they fell as it is, Kim-oonsuh would most definitely die.

“No!”

Lee-joonhyuk let out a strong yell.  The moment he sincerely hoped for it, the barrier disappeared from around his body.  Then the barrier formed around Kim-oonsuh’s body.

Boom!

The barrier could defend against any physical force, so it was the ultimate barrier.  For 10 seconds, one was safe from any situation.
Fortunately, Kim-oonsuh was safe.  However, the next problem cropped up.

Lee-joonhyuk was about to hit the floor, but his barrier was already deployed.  Lee-joonhyuk flipped his body, so his feet was where his head used to be.

He thought it would be better to fall on his legs.

Crunch.

“Gggoo-ook!”

Recently, he had surpassed the physical limitation of a human by using Atlan’s training method, but it couldn’t prevent his legs from breaking.

His leg bones were broken to pieces, but Lee-joonhyuk didn’t lose consciousness.  When he looked up, he had fallen at least 20 meters.

Lee-joonhyuk gritted his teeth, then he crawled towards Kim-oonsuh.  His shin bones(TLN: tibia+fibula) was broken, and it had pierced through the skin.  Moreover, Kim-oonsuh seemed to have sustained massive damage when the wild boar rammed into her.
Since she had hit the tree as she was falling, she might be already dead.

He was barely able to crawl to Kim-oonsuh.  When he reached her, he put his hand over her mouth to check if she was still breathing.  Fortunately, she wasn’t dead, and she was still breathing.

He let out a sigh of relief, and Lee-joonhyuk checked her wounds.  The wild boar had rammed into her thigh, and it was starting to swell.  It seemed like her thigh bone(TLN:femur) was broken.

Lee-joonhyuk was relieved to see she didn’t have any large superficial wounds.  He lay next to her then he took a deep breath.  Then he gathered all his strength to shout.

“Help us!”

After Lee-joonhyuk let out a yell for rescue with all his might, he looked down at his legs.  There were enough pain to turn his mind white.  If things continued this way, he would probably die from blood loss before the rescue.

He couldn’t allow that.  Somehow, he had returned alive from the Dimensional battlefield, so how could he allow himself to die in vain?

First, Lee-joonhyuk had to stop the blood loss, so he started focusing on the muscles around his shin.  Atlan told him it was possible to contract the muscles to stop the discharge of blood from blood vessels.

He knew at a certain stage he would be able to do it, but Lee-joonhyuk was still too far off from being able to do it.  He had recently become aware of his every muscle, so he thought it wasn’t possible.

Still, he somewhat knew of a way to stop the bleeding.  He guessed the general location, then he contracted his muscles.  He lucked out, and the amount of bleeding decreased.

After tightening his clothes over it, he fell back to lie on the ground.  Currently, he had done everything he could.  Now he just had to wait for the rescue party.

As he was looking up, deputy head Jang’s face revealed itself from the trail.  He hadn’t found them yet, but he was still trying to descend at a rapid face.  Lee-joonhyuk yelled when he saw his sweat-drenched face.

“We are here.”

Deputy head Jang looked towards him, and his eyes widened.  Lee-joonhyuk’s surrounding was covered in blood, and Kim-oonsuh was unconscious.

“Are you ok?”

“I’m ok for now, but it’ll be dangerous once I lose a lot of blood.”

“How about the director?”

“I think her thigh bone is broken.  The rescue team might have to hurry up, and get here.”

“Please wait a moment.”

Once he saw deputy head Jang’s face disappear, Lee-joonhyuk let out a sigh of relief.  Since their plight was known, the rescue team should be here soon.

“Mmmm.”

At that moment, Kim-oonsuh was regaining her consciousness.  Lee-joonhyuk crawled next to Kim-oonsuh.

“Are you ok?”

Kim-oonsuh was about to open her eyes when her face crumpled.

“Ooh-ook.”

“Your thigh bone is broken, and you might have hurt your back.  Please stay still for now.”

“I can’t feel anything below my leg.”

“It might be because of the shock.  Deputy head Jang located us, so the rescue team should be here soon.”

Kim-oonsuh turned her gaze toward Lee-joonhyuk.  She was in a lot of pain, but she hated showing others her weak side.  Her pride wouldn’t allow it.

She looked at Lee-joonhyuk, and she asked a question.

“Where is this place?”

“You were hit by a boar, then you fell down the cliff.”

Lee-joonhyuk pointed upwards, then Kim-oonsuh raised her gaze.  It was over 20 meters high, and the ledge was far off.
It was a miracle that she had survived the fall.

Kim-oonsuh closed her eyes for a moment.  She could clearly see the scene where the wild boar had charged her.  The moment she was flung from the impact she remembered Lee-joonhyuk was running towards her, and he had jumped off the cliff.
He had jumped off with his hands outstretched towards her.  However, she couldn’t remember what had happened after she felt a blow on her back.  Her memory ended there.

“Why did you jump off?”

Lee-joonhyuk smirked at those words.

“I thought we would both live if we were lucky.”

“We were lucky.”

Kim-oonsuh looked towards Lee-joonhyuk as she asked.

“How’s your leg?”

“The shin bones are broke, but everything else is fine.”

Kim-oonsuh wanted to talk more, but the pain made  her close her eyes.  She clenched her eyes shut.  When Lee-joonhyuk saw this, he carefully spoke.

“The rescue party should be here soon.”

Kim-oonsuh only nodded her head weakly, and she didn’t speak.  Lee-joonhyuk let out a short sigh as he saw her endure the pain without a single moan.

“If it hurts, it is ok to scream.”

Kim-oonsuh didn’t’ say anything, and she endured the pain, while gritting her teeth.

Lee-joonhyuk knew it would be pointless to speak any more to her.  He tried to lie down next to her when his head became dizzy.
He had stopped the bleeding, but he had already lost too much blood.  Lee-joonhyuk shook his head, then he opened his mouth.

“Stay awake.  It’s dangerous if you lose consciousness.”

“I know.”

Even though she said she knew, she wasn’t maintaining her consciousness.  Lee-joonhyuk observed Kim-oonsuh.  She was gritting her teeth, and she wasn’t opening her mouth.  Then her body started to shake a little bit.

“It’s cold.”

If one looked at the hiking clothes Kim-oonsuh was wearing, she shouldn’t be saying she was cold.  He guessed she was bleeding somewhere.  When her thigh bones broke or when she hurt her back, she might have burst a vessel.

Internal bleeding was a cause for concern.  First, Lee-joonhyuk took off the t-shirt he was wearing then he put it over her.

For a brief moment, Lee-joonhyuk looked at her cold form.  He looked up into the sky, then he hugged her with his arm.  Lee-joonhyuk whispered in a low voice when Kim-oonsuh was startled.

“We can’t let your body temperature drop.”

She didn’t say anything.  Kim-oonsuh looked away from Lee-joonhyuk as her face slightly reddened.  Soon, the loud sounds of rotor blades were heard in the distance.

Lee-joonhyuk looked between the leaves of the tree, and he saw a helicopter.

“The rescue party is here.”

After a brief moment, deputy head Jang’s face poked out from above the cliff.

“The rescue party is here.  Wait a little bit longer.”

Lee-joonhyuk let go of the arm that was hugging Kim-oonsuh, then he shouted.

“Director’s back is hurt.  We need a stretcher.”

“Understood.”

Soon, there were several people on top of the cliff.  When Kim-oonsuh saw the uniform of the rescue team, she relaxed then she fainted.  After seeing this, Lee-joonhyuk looked up again.

One of the rescue party member stuck his head out, and he yelled.

“Both of you, who were in an accident, are you conscious?”

“She was conscious until a moment ago.  She has fainted right now.”

“What is your situation?”

“The director’s back is hurt, and her thigh bone is broken.  Also, my shin bones are broken.”

“Please wait a moment.  We’ll rescue you soon.”

Lee-joonyouk turned to look at the fainted Kim-oonsuh, then he murmured.

“Please stay strong for a little longer.  The rescue party is here.”
