< Legend of Legend(LOL)-Dimensional Marketplace(2) >

The moment after he ate the pill, there was a commotion near his back and the Minions showed up. The last people to enter was Vera and Kim-sarang.
He listened to all the words being spoken. It was entertaining to hear English being spoken, but he heard it as Korean. Vera smiled as she spoke to Lee-joonhyuk.

“Did he pressure you into a sale?”

Lee-joonhyuk shrugged his shoulder as he answered.

“I had no choice.”

Vera turned to look at Atlan.

“Is there anything worth buying?”

“Not yet. I have to gather a little bit more before I can buy what I want.”

“Tsk. If you save too much to buy an expensive item, you’ll probably be taken down by some other bastard.”

“What do you take me for?”

Atlan glanced at Lee-joonhyuk.

“Also, we have another ability thanks to this guy.”

“That’s true.”

Lee-joonhyuk stopped showing interest in their words, then he looked at the endlessly spread book. Every item floating in the air was below 1000G.
Still, there were several hundred items listed.
Lee-joonhyuk pushed the item descriptions in front of him with his hand. The item descriptions turned as if one was passing a smart phone page.  Lee-joonhyuk quickly looked for the things he wanted.

Amongst the 1 star items, there were numerous useful items, but he didn’t want a 1 star item. He quickly flipped the pages until he stopped at the location lined up with jewels.
There were strange symbols engraved within the beautiful jewels.

He knew the language was called Rune language. However, he had no idea how the Rune language was used to develop various powers. It wasn’t something he could understand even after he ate the Language pill.

Lee-joonhyuk could only understand the description.

-Lowest Ranked Strength Rune Stone.

It increased the wearer’s strength by 2.  Ten was the limit on how many one could equip. When one wanted to swap it out for a high ranked Rune Stone, one need 3 Rune stones.

Lee-joonhyuk read the description, but there was something he didn’t understand.

“When it says it’ll increase my strength by 2, what does it mean?”

Bebe raised his hand at Lee-joonhyuk’s question, then he pointed towards the Minions.

“You see those Minions? Their average strength is 1.”

“What?”

If one wore this, it meant one could add 2 times the strength of a normal person?  Bebe calmly explained it to the surprised Lee-joonhyuk.

“The lowest rank increases by 2, low rank by 5, medium rank by 12, high rank by 25 and highest rank increases by 60. Of course, as it increases in rank, the price triples.”

“Can a person could wear 10 highest rank Rune stones?”

“Of course.”

If one obtained 10 highest ranked Rune Stone, then it meant one could have 600 times the strength of a Minion. Of course, one needed a massive amount of currency to do purchase this. One highest ranked stone cost 81000G.
It was a massive amount of money.

Bebe looked at Lee-joonhyuk as he spoke.
“Anyone close to Hero status equips the highest ranked gems. It is classified by color, and there is a limit of 10 per color. In the end, you can have a combined number of 30 gems.”

Lee-joonhyuk suddenly felt admiration for Atlan and Vera. They possessed items that would cost at the very least 2.43 million G.

Lee-joonhyuk checked the status of the Rune Stone. The red Rune Stones were attack oriented and the yellow colored rune stones were defense oriented. The blue colored rune Stones were related to magic, so it didn’t hold much meaning to him.
After Lee-joonhyuk looked over the Rune Stones, he turned to look at Atlan.

“What kind of Rune stone do you have, Atlan?”

“I have the highest ranked Strength Rune stone. I like crushing my enemies to death.”

Basically, one had to choose the stones based on one’s preference.  Lee-joonhyuk looked back on the battle he fought against the Minions.  He had faced them using a two handed sword, but his attack was lacking in strength. Therefore, he had to attack the gaps between his opponent’s armor.
It might be better if he was able to take down his opponent without taking damage. Atlan approached Lee-joonhyuk, who was thinking, and he spoke.

“If you are a man, you should get strength.”

“Is that so?”

Vera spoke as she turned to look at Lee-joonhyuk.

“If you want to survive, then it wouldn’t be too bad to increase your defense.  If your defense increases by 2 then you won’t die from a normal Minion’s attack.”

Lee-joonhyuk’s ear twitched at those words.

“There is no point in becoming a meat shield. You have your barrier.”

At Atlan’s words, he stared at Atlan.  His barrier would have to be casted on Atlan, so he would have to fight the Minions.
Lee-joonhyuk thought for a moment.

“If my strength increases by 2, then will I be able to cut through a Minion’s armor?”

Atlan nodded his head as if it was a given.

“Of course. The only exception would be if your opponent possesses a defensive Rune, then you won’t be able to break through it.”

Lee-joonhyuk agonized over it for a moment.  If he was able to destroy the opponent’s armor then he’ll be more attack oriented. He could already perceive his opponent’s movement, so he wasn’t too worried about his safety.
Moreover, Atlan’s words swam around his ears.

“Men need strength. I’ll choose this.”

Lee-joonhyuk spoke to Bebe as he picked up the Strength Rune stone. Vera shrugged her shoulder as if his choice was boring, then she returned to Kim-sarang.

Kim-sarang didn’t understand what this place was, so she was busy looking around.
When Lee-jooonhyuk picked the item, Bebe pushed forward the tablet.

“Here.”

Lee-joonhyuk put his hand on top of the tablet, and the 1130G decreased to 130G. One could basically think of 1000G as a 1000 Minion’s lives. Moreover, he was only gaining strength worth 2 people, so it felt like he was taking a considerable loss. However, there was only one Dimensional Market here, so he couldn’t complain about it.

Bebe handed him the red Rune stone with a smile fixed on his face. He felt a strange energy emanating from the red rune stone.

Bebe asked Lee-joonhyuk a question.

“Now that you have bought it, don’t your want to to equip it? I’ll equip it for free, but there is a handling fee when you want to disarm it.”

“A handling fee?”

“I have to use a lot of energy to extract it. Therefore, it’s 50G per removal.”

Lee-joonhyuk couldn’t close his mouth at the astounding price. Bebe laughed as he spoke when he saw Lee-joonhyuk.”

“The installation is free. Do you have a Wearable Rune Item?”

Wearable Rune Item? This was the first time he heard that name. When Lee-joonhyuk turned to Atlan, he spoke to Bebe.

“This is his first purchase, so how would he know about that?”

“Huh? They didn’t even explain it to you? If you don’t have a Wearable Rune Item, then you won’t be able to equip the Rune Stone.”

Lee-joonhyuk’s face crumpled automatically.
He felt like he had been completely duped. Lee-joonhyuk asked after he let out a sigh.

“How much is a Wearable Rune Item?”

Bebe lightly closed the book. The endless book folded in a single breath.

“First, it seems I’ll have to tell you about the Rune Stone.”

Bebe acted as if he was doing him a favor. He put his elbows on top of the book as he spoke.

“You can equip three different colored Rune Stone of any rank, but you won’t be able to equip the next set of stones before you do this.”

“Does that mean I’ll have to pick 3 colors to equip?”

“That’s right. You understand this pretty fast.”

Bebe continued to speak calmly.

“Since I’ve informed you about the ranks of the Rune Stones, I’ll tell you about the Wearable Rune Item.”

Bebe slowly opened the book. Then it expanded as images floated on top of the pages. Bebe continued to speak calmly as he saw this.

“As you can see, there are maximum 3 colors on can equip on the Wearable Rune item. It means one can wear 3 times the stones. At most, one can equip 30 of them. Moreover, the Rune Stone’s performance can be increased by the Wearable Rune Item.”

“It increases the performance of the Rune Stones?”

“Of course. The lowest ranked Wearable Rune Item doesn’t have any functions except it allows one to equip the stones. However, one could get a 50% increase in performance if one wears the highest ranked Wearable Rune Item.”

The 50% increase in ability was a very high number. Of course, the price would be astronomically high.

He only had 130G left and an additional 29G in his pocket. Lee-joonhyuk took everything out as he spoke.

“Will I be able to purchase it with this?”

Bebe burst into a hearty laugh.

“Hahaha. You won’t be able to by the lowest ranked Wearable Rune item with just 159G. The cheapest one is 200G.”

Lee-joonhyuk knew he could have bought this item if it wasn’t for the Language pill. It somehow made him feel a little bit more spiteful towards Bebe. Lee-joonhyuk was glaring at Bebe when someone next to him dropped 41G on the table. After Lee-joonhyuk saw the dropped gold coins, he turned to look at Atlan.  Atlan spoke as he avoided his gaze.

“It was partially my fault for not telling you anything about it, so I’ll lend you some gold. Just pay me back later.”

“Thank you.”

Lee-joonhyuk let out a sigh of relief, then he turned to look at Bebe.  Bebe pushed forward a pendant. There were three slots one could embed stones in.  Bebe simply placed the stone in, and that was it.  He had thought Bebe would do something amazing.
Bebe took out a leather thong.  After he put it through the pendant’s loop, he gave it to Lee-joonhyuk.

“I’ll say this again, but don’t try to take it out by yourself. If you try to force it out then the Rune Stone will be damaged.”

“I understand.”

Lee-joonhyuk received the pendant, and he put it around his neck. The moment he put it around his neck, it gave out a flash of light before it disappeared. However, he knew in that moment that his strength had most definitely increased.
Lee-joonhyuk was awed as he clenched and unclenched his fists. The strength within his fist wasn’t inconsequential.

His strength had increased significantly compared to the normal Minions when he became a Novice. However, it couldn’t be compared to his current strength. He would be able to cut a Minion in two now.

Atlan spoke as he turned to look at Vera.

“Do you have something to buy?”

“No. I have to sell this.”

Vera took out the necklace embedded with gems. It was the one they had acquired after killing Warren. Vera spoke as she handed it over to Bebe.

“How much will you give me?”

“Let me see. This was bought by Warren not too long ago. I bet his stomach is queasy.”

“It’s the same for everyone. How much is it?”

“Since he bought it for 73000G, I’ll give you 36500G.”

“I have no choice. Ring me up.”

Bebe pushed forward his tablet. When Vera put her hand on it, Bebe fiddled with the controls.

“Isn’t it about time for you to customize your equipment?”

“I still have to save a little more. If ‘it’ comes out then I’ll sweep everywhere for it.”

“If you are lucky, you will need one or two more.”

“Yes.”

Vera ended the conversation there, then she turned to look at Atlan.

“How’s your situation?”

“I also need one more.”

“You have the item you earned from Grangsha.  Aren’t you selling it?”

“Yes. However, I decided to use it myself.”

“I guess if you can use it then you should use it.”

After finishing her conversation, Vera turned to look at the Minions.

“Anyone here has more than 50G?”

The Minions didn’t say any anything. They weren’t probably even aware of such things. Also, no one would have such a large sum of money.

“If you don’t even have the gold to buy the lowest grade potion, then we have no more business here. Let’s go.”

Lee-joonhyuk asked carefully.

“Can’t we rest a little bit more?”

“No. Even though, the time flows differently here, the difference isn’t that large. We can’t procrastinate here. We have to go hunting.”

Atlan spoke in a cold manner.

“You have to work hard to repay the money I lent you”

“I’ll work hard.”

He had never thought Atlan would loan him gold coins, so he must repay it back. Lee-joonhyuk thought about various ways he could repay him the money.

Atlan was getting ready to head out, so Lee-joonhyuk turned to Vera to ask a question.

“So what’s our next plan?”

Vera spoke as she smiled.

“Since we succeeded in the ganking, we planned on meeting Numara.”

“Is that person joining us this time?”

“Of course.. They should be busy fighting near the middle guard tower right about now.”

“Who’s their opponent?”

“I think it’s Elrick?”

Lee-joonhyuk shuddered when the name Elrick was mentioned.

“Do you mean Elrick, who still has a grudge against me?”

“Kekeke. That’s right. I’m talking about the Elrick, who tried to kill you. He even tried to kill you as he ignored his own death.”

He had survived thanks to his 10 second barrier. However, Lee-joonhyuk remembered Elrick’s mad gaze when their eyes met. That person was a mad man, who would sacrifice his own life to kill the person he targets.

At that time, he had stood in standby as the Heroes fought against each other. He thought about Elrick, who had chased after him for 10 seconds as he was dying.
