Been a month since he was hospitalized here in Mainland City . He is a little better with the medication Dr . Helen giving him, but this is not enough to stay alive .

The least, he could now walk around the hospital and to the garden outside, sometimes he goes to Dr . Helen's clinic to play with Cassandra .

Rudolf been silent when they were around and just keep playing with his tablet, totally ignoring them which convenient for him .

The Young family tried everything to prepare him for his trip to the US . Landon Young flew ahead to take care of his adoption then meeting the doctors who will hold his case to discuss what will gonna happen .

Hannah told him that he needs to go back to the US to undergo the procedure of his operation . He cried because he doesn't want to go back to that place .

"Quinn . . . " Cassandra stared at him confusingly . She was touching his face .

He cried because he doesn't want to be parted from her .

"Quinn . . . " Cassandra keeps calling his name . He wipes his tears then played with her until she falls asleep on his arms .

"Do you want me to carry her?"

He was surprised when Rudolf talks to him and offers a hand . He was hesitant but, Cassandra would not be comfortable . In the end, he agreed and let Rudolf carried her to his hospital room .

"Thank you," he said when Rudolf about to leave .

Rudolf look at him then nodded before he steps out of the room .

"Hey . . . "

When he opens his eyes, he saw Cassandra been staring at him . She blushed when she was caught . He smiled . He brushes his lips against her and places soft kisses .

So the hand he is feeling that caressing his face is Cassandra's soft hand . He grabs it gently and locked it between his own palm, then kisses the back of her hand .

"Are you not going to work?" Cassandra asked him .

He chuckles . Truth is, he felt lazy to go to his office .

"Later . . . " he answered . "How about let's have a shower together?" He watches how her eyes grow wider and her cheeks flushing red .

Cassandra takes the pillow and she covered him with it . He was surprised but then he laughs and let her beat him . He felt Cassandra lay on the pillow . He reaches for her hair and combs it . He sits up and kiss her forehead .

"Let's go to the kitchen and make our breakfast . "

"Okay," she happily nodded .

When they arrived at the kitchen Rudolf been there already and making breakfast for himself . When they were home, they don't like the maids wandering around . They wanted absolute privacy for themselves .

"Brother Rudolf!" Cassie steps closer to him and checking out what he's cooking . "Wow! That looks tasty!"

"You want, Cassie?" he asked her then glance at his boss .



"Uhm . . . " she glances at Shun . "You like some of this?"

"Sure, it's fine . . . come, I'll make coffee . How about you?"


"Hot chocolate," she answered .

"Alright, sit here . "

She obediently takes a seat then watched Shun and Rudolf do the making of their breakfast .

"Why you add a lot of cheese on there and only some at this?"

She heard Shun complains .

"Isn't you supposed to be please instead of complaining?" Rudolf answered . Cassie began worried if the two of them is arguing .

The two men were stunned seeing her worry face . The two of them exchange glances . Shun stride towards her and kiss her forehead .

"We're not fighting . . . " he whispered . Ah, she is too cute .

Cassie doesn't know, that this is their natural treatment to each other outside work . Rudolf began placing the plates with their breakfast on the table . Shun pick up some fruits then make a fruit salad . He mixes some cream and milk on the side .

Cassie happily picks up some grapes . She ended up eating a lot of breakfast . She thanked Rudolf for the breakfast then whispered at Shun .

"What did you say?" Kier wants Lorna to say it again .

"I said, let me enter the Kang Company . " His secretary answered .

"Why? Have you not realizing how dangerous it was, Lorna?"

"I know . But isn't this is a good opportunity?"

"I know you have a relationship with Jason Kang, but you don't need to go this far . "

"What are you worrying about?" Lorna talks to her boss like he wasn't one .

Well, she and Anna are best friends . Her family is a fulltime volunteered to The Voice Foundation and she was often dragged along at Lawrence residents . She was then sponsored by them and supported her schooling until college . That is why she was like an extended family by the Lawrence .

"Lorna!"

Here he goes, acting like a big brother . "As I said, it is fine . Jason and I already have sex, doesn't need to act like a conservative here . " She watched how Kier gives her a shock expression on his face . She wants to laugh .

"Since Jason propose to me for living us together, then it is an opportunity for me to enter both the Kang family and the company and observes them from inside . I could get more information . "

"Have you done thinking about this?" Kier wasn't convinced .

"That's why I am here talking to you . "

"You should have told me that you wanted to take up Law . You know we are willing to give you a sponsorship . Boss, would consider it too . "

Lorna smiled . She was certain about it . What a nice feeling to have people that treating you a family and would give a hand anytime even she doesn't need .

"Law is not really what I wanted, but if it is a good opportunity for me to accept Jason's offer," she told him .

"Then, if you really have decided, the boss will give you handsomely for your service . "

Kier was a bit puzzled staring Lorna's face is now frowning . "What?"

"I don't need money . "

"Huh?"

"What I wanted is a recommendation . "

"About what?" Kier asked confusingly .

"Lawyer is not what I dream . I want to join the SIS . "

"Special Intelligence Sector?"

"Yes . I've been eyeing to become an agent . . . that's why let me do this . "
