Chapter 32 – Cockatrice
“Tr-truly will you accept this request?”(Girl)

“A yeah I will. By the way my name is YUMA. Can you tell me your name ? and can I also hear your mother’s name?”(YUMA)

While I was speaking with Sari, grace-san came over.

Alright with this I am ready with my preparations.
And so me and grace-san came near the gate.

and so I left the city and headed towards the Stone forest.

well then its quite a distance to stone forest. Time limit is also quite less shall I run?.

And so I ran all the way to stone forest.

I knew it LEVEL does make a difference the speed went up really quickly.

Running at speeds which was definitely not possible in my previous world and hardly getting tired.

I was able to reach stone forest in a few minutes of running.

Well I was able to reach stone forest safely but before I proceed there is something that must be done.

If I’m correct grace-san did tell me that you need to have recovery magic at level 3 or higher to cure cockatrice poison.My current recovery magic is at level 1. Its definitely not enough, but its only a matter of time for me raise it.

I took out the knife that I had on me and scratched my fingers and on that.

And the wound healed in a flash.

If you use magic repeatedly the level will raise accordingly.The problem is MP but since I bought lots of Mp potions so I don’t have to mind.

……this should be enough,I checked my status and as expected my recovery magic skill level reached LEVEL 3 as expected of 20x times skill experience. Then I drank an MP potion to recover my lost MP.

“Alright with this all preparations are done”(YUMA)
Something moved in the bushes after looking around for a few minutes in the forest.Is it a cockatrice?. And so as I paid close attention to it and I was ready to activate my sign isolation an any time.
and so it came out of the bushes after a while.

I have quite the relationship with the rabbitsu ever since I came to this world , its basically everywhere……and so I properly killed it from cutting its neck and placed it into the item box.

looking around for a few minutes.

I was finally able to spot the target I was searching for.
“O, this guy looks surely like a chicken which looks like a snake or a snake which looks like a chicken. Lets confirm {Appraisal}”(YUMA)

Ho, this is definitely the strongest monster that I have encountered up until now…..

There is also that poison, so challenging directly from the front is quite troublesome.

Magic attacks might be ok, but if it gets guarded that would be quite a problem, I should definitely go for the kill.

I activated sign isolation and went towards its back and pierced its neck and slashed it from the inside and there was no resistance at all!!. The cockatrice without any resistance fell dead.

“Fu~u, Im glad this ended without any resistance or injuries. Its seems there was no requirement to raise the recovery magic but MA~a insurance is quite important. Usually I would like to check my status right now but since grace-san and sari are waiting for me.i think it would be better to return quickly.”(YUMA)

And as I was thinking such things I put the cockatrice into the item box and started to run back towards the city.
