The shrilling cry echoes throughout the area again.

That cry was powerful enough to blow the whole cloud of dust away.

A gigantic dark blue Abyss is revealed.
Its eyes glow blue and they seem to be located near its temporal region.
Disgusting tentacles wiggle over its head.

But the worse thing wasn’t that, it’s the lump of Abyss that’s sticking on its body.
There were baby Abyss inside the yellow gooey eggs on its back.
Each of the infants were moving inside the gooey egg, no, rather, it looks like they’re eating the giant Abyss’s back.
No wonder its back looks dented, the babies are eating it, like a parasite.

So they weren’t Heavy Abyss, but Mother’s personal bodyguard.
Their levels are so high, what’s with these guys.
They all have over 400 HP, are you serious?
Added to that, they also have Defense Power Revised…… so, Mother used〖Physical Barrier〗on them beforehand, huh.
I have a feeling this is gonna be a loo~ong battle.

Mother walked (or crawled?) next to the Dragon God’s skeleton, and there, she sat.
The Mother Guards also follow Mother so they could be right beside her. Some of them walked over the Dragon God’s skeleton and their added weight sunk it back down the earth.

One of the Guards jump at me and I took off to the air to evade it.

Mother may be tougher than most enemies I’ve fought until now, but if I keep attacking her faster than her recovery speed, I’ll make her run out of strength.

She may be higher leveled than me, but I’m still higher than her by rank.

I release two wind blades.
Then, one of the Mother Guard who was stepping on the Dragon God’s skeleton jumps in the air and takes the hit.
The Mother Guard gets slashed and it sprays out bodily fluids.
But, it didn’t lose balance and fell on its feet, still standing.
It has guts, I’ll give it that.
The injured Mother Guard moves back and another Mother Guard takes its position.

Alo throws a twister at Mother.
The twister blows away the soil as it approaches Mother but another Mother Guard takes the hit again.
The Mother Guard wasn’t damaged by it at all.

Alo just recently evolved.
Even if she uses my magic power, her attacks still won’t be enough against the Lv 40 Mother Guards.
I should let her hunt some Abyss first.

The tentacles on Mother’s head start contracting, then they extend towards me.
Those tentacles don’t look long enough to reach me but then they started getting longer and longer and are about to hit me with their whips.
So flying isn’t entirely a safe zone now.
I easily evade the tentacles and bite them with my fangs.

And with a splosh, Mother’s bodily fluids enter my mouth.
It’s warm and has a unique taste of bitterness, but worse of all is the yucky sensation of the…… aaargh!
I can’t let it bother me! Empty my mind of anything unnecessary.
When this is all over, I can vomit as much as I want, so just be patient, me. 

I turn around and fly up higher, pulling Mother up with me and separating her from her Guards.
I was only able to slightly lift Mother off the ground, until the tentacles slipped from my mouth and she came falling back down.

I drool bodily fluids out of my mouth, but I didn’t mind it and I dive down directly at Mother while swiftly evading her tentacle whips.
With my diving speed, I unintentionally opened my mouth and the bodily fluids leak out of it, and since they didn’t expect I’d dive down directly at them, the Guards couldn’t react on time and I headbutted Mother’s head.
The hard shell on Mother’s head cracks and it squirts out bodily fluids, then a loud shrilling cry echoes throughout the cliffside once more.

…… Alright, I was able to deal damage.
They may have us outnumbered, but they can’t do anything if we attack their leader head on.
Guess I’ll think of a way to crumble the Guard’s formation while I keep attacking this way.

Seems like it’s possible to force them into close combat with enough intimidating attacks, but these Mother Guards are physically built in for that……
It just got harder to do what I did again now that they’re sticking closer to Mother.
I want to reduce their number at a distance where they can’t reach us.
But, if we’re too far, our attacks won’t reach them instead, and even if it does reach, the Guards will just block it again.

I felt something tap on my back so I turn around to look at Alo.
Two arms extend out of Alo’s back from the gap in her clothes and they were holding onto me.
It’s smaller and looks more human compared to the last one she made one, though it looks more lifeless than her real arm.

When I met eyes with Alo, she almost let her arms go.
W-Woah there, you almost fell.
