Yet the words that Ling’er said a moment later sunk him into depression .

“Even if Rank One Charms are strong, there’s no way they could bring harm to Energy Shaping Realm warriors,” Ling’er said as she sat on a piece of charm and shook her pale white legs . “But there’s a catch . You’ll have to be at least in the Energy Shaping Realm to create Rank Two Charms . ”

“You should’ve started with that!” Ye Mo scolded .

“But you are different,” Ling’er said . “With the Dragon Energies, your mind’s Mortal Gate is stronger than the average martial artist, so it should be enough to help you create Rank Two Charms . But you’ll have to create a higher grade charm, or you won’t be able to harm Man Qi even one bit . ”

Ye Mo understood what Ling’er meant . Even Rank Two Charms came in different grades . Since Ye Mo wasn’t an Energy Shaping Realm warrior, even if he could create Rank Two Charms, they would be of the lowest grade .

“Then what should I do?” Ye Mo asked .

“I know of a very special Rank One Charm that you could use,” Ling’er said . “It’s called the Heavenly Frost Charm . It’s not your normal attack or defense charm . It’s what we call a special effect charm . But even if it’s a Rank One Charm, it’s still very hard to make . ”

“Will it freeze my opponent?” Ye Mo asked in awe as the name suggested that the special effect was ice-related .

Another way that warriors used to created charms was by sealing . Charms were martial techniques that were sealed on paper that could then be used whenever the user wanted . It was the same for Beast Charm where the beasts were sealed on the paper .

“It should be able to freeze any warrior below the Half-Energy Shaping Realm,” Ling’er explained . “It can only slow the movements of Energy Shaping Realm warriors, but that’s all we really need . ”

The defense of Energy Shaping First Realm warriors wasn’t really outstanding . Only warriors that had reached the Fourth Realm could start to shield themselves using their own energies while Fifth Realm warriors could even strengthen their inner parts .

There was no way that Ye Mo could even land a scratch on Energy Shaping Fifth Realm warriors, but First Realms were a completely different story as their defense might even be lower than Ye Mo’s .

“If I’m not wrong, creating the Heavenly Frost Charm requires a Rank One Charm Paper and Spirit Cultivating Realm Beast Core,” Ye Mo said . “And not just any Beast Core . We need the rarest of them all, an Ice-Beast Core . ”

Ling’er had been spouting knowledge regarding charms to Ye Mo whenever they had spare time .

“That’s why we have to find an Ice-Beast Core as quickly as possible,” Ling’er said .

Ye Mo woke up early the next morning, wanting to ask Xiao Yuanshan about the Ice-Beast Core, but before he could even leave his room, Xiao Yuanshan had already sent people to fetch him to the main hall .

“Ye Mo,” Xiao Yuanshan said when Ye Mo arrived at the main hall . “If you don’t have any confidence in winning the fight, then you should try and escape . With your talent and the fact that you can create True Energy Pills, you won’t have anything to worry about in your future . All I ask is that you take care of Xiao Yue when you’ve become successful . ”

Xiao Yuanshan had been discussing with his wife and the higher-ups of the Xiao Clan and had came to that conclusion .

“Man Qi is an Energy Shaping First Realm warrior . Not even the Tianyong City has that kind of talent among their people,” Madame Xiao said . “There’s no way that you could defeat him . We’ve discussed with our elders, and we’ve decided that the best option for you is to escape . ”

“I know that all of you are worried about me, and I thank you for that,” Ye Mo said . “But once I leave, the Barbarians will definitely target the Xiao Clan! I’ve made a promise to Yueyue to take care of her family . There’s no way I’ll go back on that just because I’m weaker than my opponent . ”

“Of course . I would never agree to a fight if I’m not 100% sure that I’m going to win . ” Ye Mo nodded confidently .

“Alright then, do what you have to . Don’t worry, I’ll never let any harm come your way!” Xiao Yuanshan said as his True Energy seeped out . Even if his energy wasn’t targeting a specific person in the room, Ye Mo could still feel the pressure from it . If Xiao Yuanshan had not advanced to the True Energy Realm, Ye Mo would’ve been taken by the Barbarians already .

“There’s one more thing,” Ye Mo said . “Do you have a Rank One Ice-Beast Core?”

“You’re a Charm Master too?” Madame Xiao asked with a surprised expression .

“Yes,” Ye Mo replied . “And I need the core to create a charm . ”

“Even as a Basic-Level Charm Master, I’ve never heard of anyone who has been successful in creating charms using Ice-Beast Cores . ” Madame Xiao frowned . “Are you going to use the charm against Man Qi? No matter how strong the Rank One Charm is, it’s never going to hurt a Energy Shaping Realm warrior . Is this your secret weapon?”

“Don’t worry, I won’t do anything rash,” Ye Mo said . “Looks like I’ll have to look for it at the Hundred Treasure Pavilion . ”

Ye Mo quickly left the Xiao mansion and headed towards for the Hundred Treasure Pavilion to get his hands on a Rank One Ice-Beast Core .

Ye Mo walked into the shop and saw a girl hurrying around the store . She reminded him of Qi Ying as her voice rang in his head .
