Wearing a black hooded cape, the vampire couple, Zalvo and Sylvia, entered the windowless room.

Rebecca dropped to her knees. "My Lord, My Lady...I begged you...please can I have a room with a window? Please...I'm dying inside this windowless room, I can't see anything..." she begged, tears welled in her eyes.​​

The vampire couple looked at each other.

"Get up, Laura!" the vampire woman said. "We are preparing the new room for you to transfer, it has a window and overlooking the garden. You will like it!" Sylvia said.

"Thank you so much, My Lady!" Rebecca said, looking pleased.

"Are you eating well?" the vampire woman asked.

"Yes, thank you for asking. The dishes were delicious I love eating them," Rebecca replied.

"How about the dresses that I specially selected for you, do you like them?" the vampire woman asked again.

"Yes, they're very lovely and fit my body perfectly," Rebecca replied.

"Good! I'll come back later to escort you to your new room once it's ready for occupancy," Sylvia said.

"Thank you for your visit My Lady and My Lord!" Rebecca said.

The vampire couple left the room.

Rebecca released a deep breath of relief after the couple exited the room. She sat on the edge of the bed feeling a lot better that she's going to transfer to her new room soon! The room with a window and overlooking the garden is so much better than this dreary one.

Maybe she can finally see an opportunity to escape once she will have a view of the surrounding area outside the house!

Meanwhile...

The couple was discussing Laura while walking in the hallway.

"The last time we saw Laura, she has no power yet. Why does she have power now resulting in us putting the necklace around her neck to suppress her powers?" Zalvo asked his wife in confusion.

"Laura has undergone many reincarnations in her lifetime, she originally has innate powers and ability from the start of her life because she is the only daughter of the powerful Queen of The Sirens, Queen Molteia, and Laura is the Princess Rhenephei in the old times... the King of the vampires, King Rhazien, my great-great-grandfather fall in love with Princess Rhenephei and abducted her - wiped her memories - and suppressed her power... that was 1000 years ago before my grandfather was defeated by his arch-enemy," Sylvia explained.

"And I'm super excited that our son's body is going to be the vessel of King Rhazien's soul. With the King's resurrection, everyone will worship our Silver Coven Clan! And our clan will reign supreme again governing the world of humans and vampires alike under the leadership of King Rhazien!" said Zalvo.

"Yes, our clan is already in decline and it is our chance to rise to power again because the most powerful vampire of all times, my grandfather King Rhazien is about to be awakened by Laura's blood after a long time of waiting. This is the time for our clan to rise to immense power again!" Sylvia enthused, her eyes gleaming with excitement.

Zalvo's face lighted up joyously.

Sylvia looked at her husband. "How's the preparation for the Awakening Ceremony? Is the venue ready now? And how about the invitations? Did you and your men already send them to different surviving vampire clans located all over the country?" she asked.

"Yes...the preparation is on the way...we have to make it discreet and utmost security is very important to us so that the ceremony will be successful and King Rhazien can come back to life without any hitch," Zalvo replied.

"Good! We're all excited to see the resurrection of King Rhazien through our son's body!" Sylvia beamed.

After a while...

Sylvia's face darkened for a moment recalling the night when her young son died due to a mysterious illness, he was five years old during that time.

They were about to bury the body the next day - but something happened on that night - she dreamed vividly of a voice telling her to preserve her son's body with a virgin's woman's blood because one day he will be awakened again, his body will be used as a vessel by the soul of the powerful King Rhazien, a thousand-year-old vampire king coming back to life again and bring prestige and power to their declining clan.

Through the years they were feeding their son's blood with humans virgin's blood. They abducted ten virgin girls and imprisoned them in locked rooms. The virgin girls became their blood source in keeping their son's body alive.

One of the girls will be taken to the rooms every other day for bloodletting and they were brought back to their rooms to recuperate. The girls were given proper nourishment every day to keep them alive and their blood healthy and pure.

With the help of the virgin's blood, their dead son's body remained alive and healthy through the years.

"I'll need to check on something outside..." Zalvo said.

"Okay," Sylvia responded.

The couple went their separate ways in the hallway.

Sylvia was going to Laura's new room when her eldest son, Corbin exited his room.

"Where are you going, Mother?" Corbin asked.

"I'm going to check Laura's new room," Sylvia answered.

"Mother, may I see my brother's bride? I haven't seen her face ever since she arrived here in our house," Corbin requested.

Sylvia shook her head. She doesn't trust her eldest son because he is a womanizer and loves to mess around with beautiful women, she was afraid that if he will see Laura's face he will become infatuated and might be tempted to take Laura away. Their Awakening Ceremony can't be hampered by anyone! She can't allow anyone to destroy the ceremony even if he is their son.

"What's wrong, Mother?" Corbin asked.

"Son, just find other things to spend with your free time, just leave Laura alone!" Sylvia said sternly and proceed to the last room in the hallway.

Corbin sighed, he knew why his mother doesn't allow him near Laura, he smiled in amusement. He had already seen Laura's face and she was beautiful indeed with a goddess-like beauty - but he was more intrigued with the woman who impersonated Laura.

The moment Laura already transferred to her new room, he will visit her again! He loves teasing her - especially after he discovered her secret. But the woman is brave and doesn't want to compromise with him. She's still trying to deceive him even if she knows that she won't succeed. He finds her fighting spirit... kinda cute, amusing, and refreshing.

Meanwhile...

Back in Rebecca's room.

She was sitting on the bed thinking about the mysterious guy and his offer of freedom. She can save her life with his offer but it also means that Laura will be taken away and be placed in her position.

But how sincere is the mysterious guy with his offer?

What if... after they found Laura... he won't still release her? The problem will only add up!

She can't betray Laura and Graven. They are her benefactor and friend.

The only choice she had right now is to escape the place before the ceremony takes place. She will escape and die trying, there is no other choice.

At least now, she already had an idea what's gonna happen during the ceremony. Her blood is needed to awaken the vampire king. Whoever that king is... she doesn't care about him...all she cared about is the chance to escape during the ceremony.

She hoped... during that time, she can discard the golden necklace from her neck so that she can unleash her power, escape and go back to Graven and Laura's side.

Right now she was excited to see the new room! It's the only thing that cheers her up.

She's very much excited to see the garden and the outside world after being holed up in this windowless room that is making her crazy every day!

The door opened.

The vampire woman, Sylvie entered the room. "Laura, come with me. Your room is ready!" she said.

Rebecca's face brightened up a bit. She walked to the vampire woman's side. "I'm ready to see my new room!" she said excitedly.

Sylvia covered Laura's face with a garment, holds Laura's hand as they exited the room walking in the hallway.

Rebecca finally saw the long hallway, the closed doors, the high ceiling, the antique furniture, and decorations, through the thin covering, it's a big house indeed. But most of the windows are closed, there are lighted candles everywhere.

They didn't walk for a long time, she was taken to the last room at the end of the hallway.

They entered the opened room, Rebecca ran to the window and felt saddened after seeing the metal bars adorning the window. Regardless, she was happy to see the sun for the first time after a few days of darkness inside the windowless room. She looked down below, the garden is teeming with colorful flowers. "Beautiful!" she murmured.

"Do you like this room?" Sylvia asked.

"Yes, very much!" Rebecca answered.

Female servants entered the room and began arranging the clothes in the closet and putting other stuff in the right places.

"Do you like the view of the garden?" Sylvia asked again.

"Yes! I like it!" Rebecca replied.

"Good, enjoy your new room and the lovely garden view! I'll take my leave now," Sylvia said and turned around going to the door.

"My lady, wait...when are you going to take the necklace out of my neck?" she asked.

"Why?"

"I don't like wearing it! I don't like wearing jewelry!" she lied.

Sylvia smiled. "Don't worry, I'll take it away after the ceremony is successful. So, behave yourself and stay good!" she said and left the room, closing the door behind her.

Rebecca stared at the closed door in dismay, her high hope plummeted.

So... the only time the necklace can be taken away from her neck is after the ceremony? Hmm, she might already be dead during that time, she bit her lip in sadness and desperation. She left the window and went to bed, feeling miserable.

One hour later.

Rebecca was back at the window staring at the metal bars adorning the window, preventing her easy escape, she's powerless to do anything about it.

She released a deep sigh and waited for the sunset to come, evening is fast approaching!

Another night of her imprisonment s going to end soon and tomorrow is another day.

She lay down on the bed and closed her eyes for a much needed mental rest.
