The following evening.

Rebecca just finished eating her dinner that Anastasia brought to her room. She put the dirty dishes back on the food tray.

She walked towards the window and stared at the horizon. A pleasant smile broke on her lips. She's looking forward to seeing Graven, Laura, Horace, Calder, Luke and the others again!

She's very excited to see Grandma Menedelia again!

She can't wait to go back to her old life surrounded by her friends!

She already made her decision. She will deceive Corbin! Before she will go back to her old life, she will kill the vampire couple first!

She won't be able to live in peace if she can't take her revenge! Aside from that, she's also doing it to prevent the vampire couple from finding Laura. She's hitting two birds with one stone with her decision.

Last night, she sleeps late because she was going back and forth on her decision. Part of her wants to forget her revenge because of Corbin but another part of her wants to take revenge... and today when she wakes up in the morning she finally made a decision to lie to Corbin and proceed with her plan of revenge.

Now that she already made her decision, there's no turning back!

Suddenly the door opened.

Anastasia entered the room, she smiled at Rebecca. "Did you enjoy your dinner, Miss Rebecca?" she asked.

Rebeca nods her head. "Yes... thank you, Anastasia, for the delicious dinner. And thank you also for taking good care of me," she said. She expressed her thanks to her now because she might not be able to see her again.

Anastasia smiled and took the tray. "Don't mention it. I'll take my leave now..." she said.

"Wait... the lord has not arrived yet?" she asked.

"Not yet," Anastasia replied. "Anything else?"

"Nothing... you may go now," she replied.

Anastasia exited the door.

Rebecca released a deep sigh. She's getting nervous and excited as well.

One hour later.

The door opened and Ebony entered the room.

Rebecca looked at the healer and smiled brightly at her. She went to her side and hugged her. "Ebony, thank you so much for your hard work and effort in restoring my skin and my hair to their original state. I don't know what to do with my life if you haven't saved me," she said, teary-eyed.

Ebony rubbed Rebecca's back. "It's my pleasure saving you my dear," she said. "I only have one thing to tell you... if you already decided to leave then don't come back... and lastly... don't plan on seeking revenge on Corbin's parents, I can assure you... it won't end well. My advice is for your well-being, I hope you'll listen to me," she said.

Rebecca sighed. Both Ebony ad Corbin are saying the same thing, prohibiting her from taking revenge. If they are the ones on her shoes... if they only feel how painful it is when the flames engulfed her whole body... they will think of revenge every minute every hour....sadly they don't know how it feels. It's useless to explain to them her emotion and her reasoning. "Okay, I hear you, Ebony. I'll listen to your advice. Don't worry...I won't take revenge. I will go home and forget about this place," she said.

"Good! You do that! Don't waste this golden opportunity that Corbin has given you," Ebony said.

"I won't..." Rebecca replied.

"I guess this will be the last time we will see each other," Ebony said.

"Yeah... "

"Good luck then. Take care of yourself wherever you will go," Ebony said. "I'll take my leave now," she said and left the room.

Rebecca sighed and looked around... this room became her home for more than a month. She will leave this place and never come back again!

Suddenly the door opened and the person that she's been waiting for finally arrived! Her face lighted up. "I've been waiting for you!" she said.

Corbin smiled. "Waiting for me, eh? Don't tell me you miss me already?" he teased her. "Are you excited to go home?" he asked.

"Yessssss!" she replied excitedly.

"Are you ready to get rid of the necklace?"

"Yes!"

"So what is your decision?" he asked.

Rebecca took a deep breath. "I'm going home and never return here!" she said.

"Good! How about my parents... are you still planning on taking revenge on them?" he asked.

Rebecca shook her head. "No! I'll just go home. I missed my friends so much!" she said.

Corbin smiled. "Good girl!"

Rebecca went to Corbin's side and hugged him for a few seconds. "Thank you so much for saving my life. I owe you one," she said, feeling grateful for his help.

Corbin absentmindedly planted a kiss on her forehead. "Good luck and take care of yourself!" he said and embraced her.

They stayed that way for a few seconds, both aware of the delicious warmth spreading on their bodies just by the mere contact of their skin.

Rebecca disengaged herself from his embrace.

Corbin observed her face for a few minutes without saying anything.

Rebecca can feel the intensity of his gaze as if he was reading her soul. She shifted on her feet due to uneasiness, she fixed her eyes on the floor, trying to mask her emotion and her plan.

Corbin smiled. "Ready?" he asked again.

"Yes!" she replied.

"Sat on the bed, I'm going to remove the necklace from your neck," he ordered.

Rebecca obeyed and sat on the edge of the bed.

Corbin went to her side. "Closed your eyes," he commanded.

Rebecca shut her eyes.

Corbin holds the golden necklace with his two hands and chanted a spell that lasted for a few minutes.

Finally... he's done.

Suddenly... the golden necklace disappeared from Rebecca's neck.

"Open your eyes, Rebecca! The golden necklace is already gone!" Corbin said.

Rebecca opened her eyes and put her hand on her neck, the necklace was gone!

She smiled brightly and jumped on her feet with joy!

"Thank you so much, Corbin!" she squealed in delight and hugged him again for a few seconds.

"Show me if you can transform yourself back to your original image," Corbin said.

"Okay...!" Rebecca said excitedly. She chanted a spell and waved her hand all over her body.

A few minutes later, her chanting ended... gradually Laura's image faded... and her original form returned. She looked at her reflection in the mirror and smiled brightly.

Her power is back!

Payback time!

She hides the contempt in her eyes and looked at her benefactor. "So this is it... our final goodbye?" she said.

Corbin nodded his head and smiled. "You're beautiful!" he murmured.

Rebecca smiled in amusement. "Really? Much beautiful than Laura?" she asked him.

"You and Laura are both beautiful," Corbin answered. "But your beauty is much more my type," he mumbled.

Rebecca giggled. "Silly you!"

"Promise me... that you will forget about avenging my parents and you will never come back around this area," he reminded her.

Rebecca nodded her head. "Yes, I will!"

"Go now and never forget your promise," he said.

Rebecca grinned. "Bye... Corbin!" she said and blew him a playful kiss before she completely disappeared from his sight.

She's gone!

Corbin released a deep sigh and left the room.

Ebony was waiting for him in the hallway. "She's gone?" she inquired.

"Yeah," he answered gloomily. "I'm going home," he said and walked away, heading to the stairway.

Corbin descended the stairs...his feet landed on the ground floor... he walked towards the door and exited.

He boarded the carriage that was waiting for him in front of the house. He ordered the driver to bring him home to his parent's house.

While the carriage was moving, he was thinking of Rebecca.

He was doubting if his decision to remove the golden necklace from her neck is a good or bad thing. He was hoping that he made the right decision.

Meanwhile...

Above the moving carriage.

Rebecca was hovering in the air trailing Corbin's carriage in her invisible form. He's going home probably going back to the house of that vampire couple! She was following follow him secretly in the air. She plans to enter the house undetected, find the couple's room and deliver swift death to them...then left the place, go home and never return!

That's her plan!

She won't go home until she will kill the vampire couple at any cost!

One hour later.

The carriage finally arrived at its destination. It entered the iron gate. A large manor can be seen a few meters ahead. She's 100% sure that it is the vampire couple's home. The place is getting familiar to her.

She hovered above the manor after she saw Corbin exited the carriage and entered the front door of the house.

She floated through the open windows on the second floor... contemplating to enter or not.

Meanwhile...

Corbin arrived in his room. He discarded his clothes and leave his boxers shorts on, he lay down on the bed, staring at the ceiling of his room.

Then suddenly... the loud ringing of the bell rang in the entire house, alerting everyone that an intruder has entered the house!

Corbin's eyes widen in surprise.

Intruder! There's an intruder inside the house!

Corbin's eyes turned into a slit, but then he relaxed a bit. Whoever entered the house will die a painful death once they were captured by the guards, enemy or not.

He rose to his feet and went to the table, he poured wine into the glass and returned to the bed, sipping the wine, he fell in deep thoughts... pondering who is this stupid enemy who dares to enter the house that was surrounded by a formidable spell set up by his parents.

Meanwhile, outside Corbin's room, in the hallway...the guards were opening every room to find the intruder.

Rebecca tried to exit the house through the windows but she can't leave...something is blocking her way! She discovered that there is an invisible barrier preventing her from exiting the window. Dammit! She's going to be trapped inside the house and it will be hard for her to escape! Worst... she already alerted everyone of her presence!

She dashed to the nearest room to hide.

When she entered the room in her invisible form, she saw Corbin sitting on the bed, with no clothes on, sipping wine from the glass in a relaxed manner.

She stood there in the middle of the room, confused about what to do next! Shiit, she was cornered!

Corbin felt the familiar presence of the intruder inside his room. He continues drinking the wine.

Rebecca was holding her breath while looking around the room trying to find a place to hide. Then her eyes landed on Corbin who is now looking in her direction.

"How long do you want to stay and hide inside my room?" Corbin asked casually.

Damn! He knows about her presence, Rebecca bit her lip.

"Show yourself, Rebecca!" he commanded in a hard voice.
