Well, we’re not distant.
Do you talk with your mother? How often?
We talk surprisingly normally.

She said I’d grown up. Made me kinda happy that she noticed.
Has your mother said anything lately that made you unhappy?
She’s still calling me by that nickname, but…I guess I don’t mind.
Do you ever go shopping with your mother?
I carry her stuff a lot (but no more peak-hour grocery store runs, please).
Do you help your mother?
I dunno if it’s actually much help, but I try.
What does your mother like?
Housework and bargain sales…and spending time with her son.
What does your mother hate?
Roaches in the kitchen.
What are your mother’s strong points?
There’s a lot. Can’t list them all here because there’s not enough space.
What are your mother’s weak points?
She’s got a few, but I can deal.
