Li Si and An Xi were packing their things . Lu Yan was going to rush back at night as there had been a task assigned to him from his superiors .
Just then, a melodious cell phone ring tone sounded . He had an incoming call .
It was Gu Mohan .
He received the call . “Hello, President Gu . ”
It was uncertain what the other party was talking about . Lu Yan’s features turned somber and menacing .
“Understood . ” He hung up the phone call .
“Yan Zi, we should be setting off now . The hired car is already waiting outside,” Li Si said .
Lu Yan turned around and glanced at Li Si and An Xi impassively . “You both get on the car first . I will come shortly . ”
With that, he strode out the door .

One man walked ahead and pressed the back of An’an’s head towards his crotch . “F*ck, this little doll is tempting me . Satisfy me first . ”
That man removed his trousers .

The men laughed uproariously .
Just then, she heard a low and charismatic voice . “Let go of her . She can’t be touched . ”
The man looked up . A tall and muscular figure emerged from the darkness . Lu Yan had arrived .

The men turned around to leave .
After they left, An’an wanted to raise her head .
But a broad hand held the back of her head and pushed it towards his warm chest . “An’an, don’t open your eyes . ”
Lu Yan retrieved a revolver from the waistband of his trousers . The bullets flew through the air and the men dropped to the ground, one by one, like dead flies .
An’an was caught off guard . When the sound of the bullets being fired reached her ears, she gave a shrill scream .
Her delicate body crumpled onto the ground, before she looked up at the man before her .
Lu Yan was standing there . He placed the smoking revolver back into the waistband of his trousers and looked down at her .
There were a few drops of blood on his handsome face . He wiped off the blood with no expression on his face . His brown eyes landed on her face and he smiled at her . “Scared? Are you scared of me now, hm?”
An’an looked at him dazedly . This was the first time… the first time she had seen him use a gun .
Lu Yan hunched his body and caressed her face with his blood-stained thumb . His charismatic voice was laced with tenderness . “An’an, I’m sorry to have scared you . But… this is me, the real me . ”
An’an did not speak a word . Her face was as white as a sheet of paper .
Lu Yan lifted her up . “Let’s go . You Elder Brother is waiting for you . We will go and find them now . ”

It was already midnight and they could not walk any further . Gu Mohan and company were resting in a dilapidated temple .
