Chapter 139

Fii muttered as she came out of the 18th Knights’ warehouse.

”Umm, I didn’t mean to tell you. I was so relieved to make up with you that I just accidentally made a mistake.”

Then, she told Crow and went to find the captain.

When she found Ior in the castle yard, probably heading to the place where the knights were gathered, Fii ran up to him with a smile.

”Taichou!”

Ior seemed to have roughly guessed at the expression on her face. He asked Fii with his usual gesture of crossing his arms.

“Looks like you and Crow had a proper talk.”

“Yes. It’s all thanks to Taichou and the others.”

Fii reported to Ior with a smirk.

Conrad-san suggested that they talk together again, and that allowed her to talk to Crow calmly. She even said a few unnecessary things.

“No, it’s the result of your own efforts up to now. It’s because of that Crow would have approved of you.”

Ior nodded his head in agreement with the selfishness of the situation.

She doesn’t know that he actually forced her to turn around with a color scheme, and then told her how selfishly he would miss her if she was kicked out, and then ended it with a threat.

Ior said while his cloak fluttered with the breeze in the garden as he looked at Fii with his ash blue eyes.

“Then, I ask you again. The next mission, I’m sure that it will be filled with all kinds of difficulties. You may even find yourself in mortal danger, like the one that struck you this time. Your life could be in danger, as you were attacked on this mission, or you could be injured in a way that will leave a permanent mark on you.”

“To be honest, a young, young woman like you…”

That’s when Ior’s words paused.

He wasn’t sure which one to say. However, as Ior, he wanted to be as sincere as possible with these words.

He casually searched for signs of his surroundings and made sure no one was around and said to Fii.

“Maybe this isn’t what we should be asking a young girl as old as you to do. Still, we need your help. Can you help us, Heath?.”

The same as when she joined the Knights. Nope, he wishes that it will even more strongly than that, the words given to Fii once again.

Someone who certainly needs her.

Fii looked straight up into Ior’s eyes and replied cheerfully with a salute pose.

”Yes, Taichou!”

Then, she left Ior, who had a meeting with another knight squad, and Fii was walking towards the quarters.

”Hmmmph~”

She was able to make up with Crow-san, and Taichou once again allowed her to be here as an apprentice knight, and all her problems were solved. The humming comes out of Fii’s mouth as she is in a good mood.

Her footsteps are naturally skipping.

The apprentice knights’ holidays are coming up.

It’s a holiday for the apprentice knights, who usually live in their quarters, to go back to their parents’ house or something. Fii doesn’t have a home to go back to, so she’ll basically be left at the quarters, but it would be nice to spend time with Crow and the others or go visit one of the apprentice knights’ houses.

The other close group of boys from the Northern Quarters had made such promises.

As Fii was thinking about her plans for the holidays, she was passing the northwest corner of the royal palace when she suddenly noticed something fluttering on the balcony.

A beautiful gold and blue fabric that she remembered seeing several times.

It was Lynette’s favorite scarf.
