Chapter 141

After fulfilling her promise to Kooine, Fii began to prepare to receive Lynette in the small rear palace where she was supposed to live.

Whenever she found free time, she broke into the rear palace and cleaned the dusty rooms.

There were some broken parts, so she would repair those as well.

She went into town often to buy things and brought enough food inside for a little over a week. That should be enough to keep us going for a while.

Once those preparations were complete, the training of the apprentice knights was over, and the first day of the long vacation began.

That day, Fii had overslept.

When she woke up, she found that everyone in the quarters had already gone outside the castle. Kooine was the only one who drank a cup of coffee (filled with sugar and milk) and waited patiently for Fii.

“Oh, good morning,”

She couldn’t blame Kooine for smiling at Fii and saying good morning.

To be honest, she wanted to wake him up, but she didn’t ask Kooine why, she asked him to pretend that she was staying at his parents’ house, so she had no choice.

The fact that she wanted to get up early because she didn’t know when Lynette would be home today is a situation that only Fii knows about, and since it’s a holiday, she might have been trying to get her to sleep in more slowly.

It’s her fault for sleeping in on the day, even though she was busy preparing for the event in the first place.

Considering the look on his face when she asked him to pretend that she was staying, it’s probably a good thing that he’s back to smiling at her like this.

In the meantime, she have to hurry up to protect the environment where she can be with such a kind Kooine.

“Thanks for waiting for me. Let’s go.”

Fii said to Kooine as she took her luggage that she had prepared yesterday. Kooine left the Northern Quarters with his luggage as well.

They walked side by side to the gate of the castle.

“We’re going out for a while.”

“Oh, you guys are on vacation. Have a nice trip.”

After greeting a familiar gatekeeper, Fii and Kooine stepped outside the gate.

Then, Fii whispered in Kooine’s ear.

“Well then, take care of the rest. Kooine.”

Fii ducked down quickly and walked unnoticed behind the gatekeeper, then disappeared back into the castle and into the nearby bushes. A quiet step that made no sound at all.

No one but Kooine had noticed that Fii had returned to the castle.

Kooine’s eyes followed her movements, but he remembered his instructions and walked as straight and fast as he could on the way out of the castle.

Jumping into the castle bushes, Fii hurried toward the rear palace.

She had to get inside before Lynette and get ready.

Fii ran straight to the rear palace.

Then, when she reached the back, she slipped the hooked rope over the wall and climbed up. She could see the guards in a daze.

Fii, who was running out of time, jumped off the wall without retrieving the hooked rope. No one would come to the back of the rear of the palace anyway. She could find an opening from Lynette later and retrieve it.

With the passivity and cat-like softness she learned from Cain, she landed on the ground without a sound. However, the impact is indeed not enough to kill her, so she rolled over and over.

She crawled into her room through the window that she had left open, took off her dirt-stained clothes and changed into a dress. And, when she checked the inside of the palace, she found that Lynette had not yet arrived.

”Thank goodness…..”

Fii breathed a sigh of relief.

Lynette arrived about half an hour later.

“Fii-sama!　This is Lynette!　They’re here!”

In a meaningless and impactful greeting, Lynette came to Fii’s rear court with a sparkling smile on her face, carrying a large package in both hands. She had never seen Lynette in such a good mood before.

She wondered what the big bundle was all about.

“I’ve brought a lot of dresses, accessories and jewellery for Fii-sama. I’m going to use them to produce Fii-sama’s tea party debut in the best possible way! Let me take care of everything!”

That’s what it sounded like.

She asked her if she was okay with not taking care of Fiiru.

“It will only be for five days, but Zephas-san’ wife has agreed to take his place. In addition to preparing for the tea party, I will take care of Fii-sama during that time, so don’t worry about it.”
