Tina said, trying to change the subject as soon as she felt the heavy atmosphere that began to surround those two.

However, Tina’s attempt to change the subject only opened the doors for another, even more depressing subject to come to light, causing her to bite her lips in remorse. At that moment, Yuki, who seemed to have already witnessed the death of many adults, put on a look as demoralized as that of Alice and Krull.

The hooded person had his face covered by his hood, and was enveloped by a somber air.

Tina said, embarrassed, as she took her bowls to fill them with food.

It was not uncommon for people to come looking for their food covered by some kind of hood, on the contrary, many were doing it that way, so Tina returned their food bowls without thinking too much about it, however For some reason Alice couldn’t help but stare intently at the pair.

「…… Those two, their heights and the shape of their bodies…… also…」

After returning the bowl she had received, Alice set the tongs and spoon she had been using on the table and began to follow the father and son.

「Alice, what’s up? You look restless, do you want to go to the bathroom?」

「I’m Sorry, Palna-san, I…… need to go. I can’t lose him」

「Eh? Wait, Alice? Hey! Where are you going?!」

Then, Alice left the place where she was distributing the food next to Palna and began to chase the father and child who were walking away.

Krull and Menou quickly started chasing Alice the moment they noticed her leave.

「Ah? He-Hey! Where are you going?!」

「Tina-chan! Go after them! Once they get to where they’re headed, go back and tell me where they are, I’ll make sure to cover all four of you in the meantime!」

「E-…… E~eh?, understood」

Mary, who noticed the moment the three of them left, tried to raise her voice to stop them, however, she was too busy with the children, and Takako’s sudden command prevented her from doing anything the moment Tina retired.

The residential area was full of small tents set up in large numbers without much regard to order, in which people lived relatively normally. The place was full of hooded adults and children, causing Alice to lose track of the father and child she was chasing, however luckily it didn’t take her long to find them again as she toured the residential area.

The pair entered a small tent located at the rear of the residential area, which was practically attached to the large wall that surrounded Noah. That small and discreet tent next to the great wall seemed extremely suspicious to Alice.

「…… They are saying something」

After seeing the pair enter the tent, Alice carefully approached it and began to hear what they were saying inside.

「Fu~e, that was dangerous, I thought they would find out our identities. She was looking at me so intently, Tch, it’s a problem that such an observant person joined Resistance」

「The food…… Where is it?」

「Mu~u…… Losing this base could become a setback ‘de-gozaru* ……」

Three voices could be heard coming from inside the tent. One was the voice of a man who was casually talking about what had happened before entering the tent, the other was the voice of a young girl who seemed to be more concerned about the food than anything else, and the last one seemed to be a female voice, which spoke weirdly.

From the content of their conversation, Alice could understand that they were talking about something that shouldn’t leave that place, so Alice moved a little closer to hear more clearly.

「Well, it’s still something I can handle. For now, the important thing is to find a way to contact them, but … before that, let’s eat something. I’m hungry」

「By the way, Daddy. Someone is spying on us outside the tent 」

Alice froze at the moment she understood that she had been noticed. Immediately after, she attempted to leave the place, but before she could run, a man’s hands emerged from inside the tent and dragged her inside of it.

「…… You could have said it earlier! How long had her been there? I was careless… I didn’t think someone would follow us here 」

To prevent her from screaming and drawing attention to the surroundings, the man quickly covered Alice’s mouth with one of his hands while using his other arm to hold her body, preventing her from getting out of control. In addition to that, he also used his two legs to wrap around Alice to prevent her from moving completely while muttering, 「Don’t move, please」.

As the man held her, the hooded girl who was sitting inside the tent began to drink calmly from a glass of water.

Suddenly Alice, who had been desperately struggling to release herself, simply calmed down the moment she took a closer look at the face of the man holding her.

「Huh? She suddenly calmed down 」

「Daddy…… More people are coming」

The moment the man was shocked at Alice’s reassurance, the hooded girl quietly said those words as she turned towards the tent entrance.

Immediately afterward, Menou stormed into the tent. Menou, who was simply concerned about Alice’s condition, quickly and undoubtedly went inside the tent in a panic after seeing Alice being dragged inside.

However, after seeing the inside of it, Menou opened his eyes wide in surprise.

Krull said, after seeing what was happening. Krull and Tina, who had also been chasing Alice, entered into the tent shortly after Menou, and after doing so, they put on looks as surprised as him.

Inside was the hooded man, now without his hood, and fully exposing his face. There was no longer any doubt, this was definitely Kagami.
